Neji didn't say anything else. He had no reason to. He had been given his assignment and was to carry it out, no questions asked. Even if it involved speaking to someone whom he hadn't seen since the two of them were small children, Neji had no other choice.

And yes if Mr. Aberaume indeed manages to find something to use against us we may just have to 'persuade' him to keep queit. Also, the team arrangements are non-negotiable. Now if there aren't any more questions your assignments start at dawn tomorrow. This meeting is dismissed." Shikamaru concluded and rose to take his leave.

streakedrainwolf "Really? That's nice of you to purpose, but I wouldn't want to over stay my welcome." Shino said thoughtfully. He took his clothes into the shower next to his bedroom and turned on the hot water. Closing the door, he sighed as he removed his clothes. He got into the shower and shouted. "Hey Kiba? Has anything interesting happened to you lately?"

Lady Kiba So they wouldn't have to keep yelling so loud, Kiba got up to go stand near the bathroom door. "Interesting? Not really except I finally asked Hinata out." He looked at his watch then starting cursing. "It's eight o'clock already?! I was supposed to pick her up for six!" he groaned and thumped his head against the bathroom door. Now she'll probably never want to go out with me again...

Shino had finished his shower just in time to hear Kiba grumble. In his fresh clothes, he opened the door and said, "I'm glad you two finally got together. Sorry about your date... How about we go see her at work? Doesn't she work at a cafe?" he questioned.

"Actually it's a bookstore I believe." He said but shook his head. "I'm sure she's already home from work. I can give her a call and see if she wants some company, she'd probably want to see you." Kiba gave a whistle and Akamaru came bounding into the room with what looked like a slipper in his mouth. Kiba gave a sigh and took it from him. "Were you missing a slipper? If not, you probably are now."

Laughing at the sight of his slipper, Shino shook his head. "He might as well keep it. I can buy another pair. Anyway, are you sure want me to came tonight? There's always a chance that you and Hinata could still go out. Maybe to a dance club?"

Kiba dropped the slipper onto the floor and shrugged. "I can call and ask her, but I think the three of us should hang out tonight." He pulled out his cell phone and called Hinatas house but didn't get an answer. "I'll try her again later. So, is anything interesting going on with you? I'm surprised you got time off from work."

Hinata walked in the door, carrying bags of groceries in her hands. She had gotten off of work a little before six, but had not heard from Kiba. Now that it was after eight, she supposed that he wasn't coming, and decided to at least do something with her time, go grocery shopping. Setting the bags on the counter, she looked at her blinking answering machine. "Huh... missed calls," she said aloud. Looking at the caller ID, she recognized the number as Kiba's. Smiling a bit, she picked up the phone, dialing the number.
Sasuke listened, taking everything in. Well, now that he was just watching from the sidelines, he supposed he wouldn't have to deal with Itachi as much. As soon as the meeting was dismissed, he stood up, making towards the door.

Kiba jumped when his phone started ringing. "Hello? Oh, Hinata! I'm so sorry I missed our date. I hope you're not upset or anything... Oh, you'll never guess who's in town. I quite literally ran into Shino! Yeah, we're in his apartment now and it's right next to ours. So, um, do you still want to go out? Maybe the three of us can do something..."

"Oh, no, I'm not upset," Hinata said reassuringly. She really wasn't; she figured that Kiba had his own reasons, and that was enough for her. Upon hearing the news, a smile set upon her face. "Really? Well, that's a pleasant surprise. Of course I'd still love to go out."

"Yeah, me too." Kiba said with a smile as he remembered the times the three of them always used to hang out. "Should we come by your place and decide what to do? Either way, I'll have to drop Akamaru off at my apartment because dogs aren't allowed anywhere." he said it with a bit of a sigh. He hated leaving his puppy home, mainly because when little Aka was alone, he caused BIG messes.

Shino watched Kiba as he conversed with Hinata. He noticed the obvious pleasure he had talking to her and it sounded like they sincerely loved to spend time with eachother. When he heard Kiba saying something about geting him to dance, he chockled and nodded. I've changed quite a bit...wonder how they will react to my dancing. He smirked, not knowing that it showed.
