Maybe the oven temp was too high? We looked up butterscotch brownies and the temp is for 350 in The Joy of Cooking... xd

Heheh... Ok... here's the update:
We had to bake them in 9x13 pans and ended up with three pans.
One batch ended up completely charcoal on the bottom (that one got tossed...) and the other two ended up just slightly burned (one more so than the other) on the bottom.
All three of them look more like cakes than brownies. xd
But... they ended up pretty good!
My mom thinks it might be our oven, which tends to run really hot.

Well, Gaia towns is running a little smoother.....at least I got my house set up in zipcode 1066....but my house loaded without the floor and wall tiles, and without wall furniture stare ....and the chat rooms don't seem to be working right now...but it's fun!
