Layla Smart "Oh, really? Good for you. I don't kow what I'm gonna do with my life. Unless my godfather, my uncle Tony gets me a job, I'm done for." Lucie chuckled, realizing she'd pretty much abandoned any hope of being normal, "Well, I'll see you later, I guess. Um- it was really nice meeting ya. I'll call you sometime. And even if I am in trouble, I could care less. I met a new friend." Lucie stuck out her chin defiantly. She took the paper and waved. She turned and called, "Bye!" over her shoulder Steph doubled back, hiding in a small crack, waiting as Lucie walked back. She waited until she was far enough ahead, and then stepped out and began following her.

Atticus looked at both of them, blinking a few times. They were telling HIM that it was dangerous out here? He was the last person that had to EVER be told that!
He was going to say something, but decided against it, and turned to walk in the opposite direction when he saw something moved not far off from the other two. He saw a figure standing among the graves, and when he blinked it was gone.
"s**t. Vampires..." he said to himself as he turned to look at the other two. They didn't seem aware of them yet. "Hey! You two!" Atticus said as he rushed up behind them. "Yall should really...just pay your respects tomorrow...in the daylight, you know? Right now, it's just...you know...too gloomy and depressing. Come back tomorrow?" he asked. He was trying to get them out of the graveyard so he could fight these bastards alone.

Buffy stared in consternation. "Uh, thanks but we're ok. We just ... he has a skin condition," she said, pointing at Andrew. "The sunlight, it just kills him." She snickered, realizing the sunlight kills the things they were looking to kill. Then realized that the guy probably thought she was snickering about Andrew's so called skin condition. Not good. "Not that it's funny or anything, his skin,.. cuz I mean you should SEE it when - OOF" she stammered as she was kicked from behind and flew into a tombstone.

Andrew started to protest about the skin condition when his companion was suddenly flying like a majestic bird... and then slamming into a tombstone, like a majestic bird who took heroin and is crashing. He dropped his weapon and started to run over to her, forgetting that slayers do not, in general, fly into large objects without provocation. "Are you okay?" he called, "That lo-" he was cut short by something hard striking his collar. He started to take a bolt from his quiver and turn to face whatever it was, to be faced with something shiny heading towards him much faster then he was getting out his pokey stick.

Atticus shouted when he saw a demon and a vampire come up behind the man and woman. The woman was kicked in the back and sent flying into a gravestone. He would've run over and helped her up, but he saw the vampire going for the other guy...
The man was knocked in the face right before Atticus' eyes, and so Atticus jumped into action as soon as he saw the demon going for the guy. The demon was drawing a...sword?! Atticus cussed to himself as he saw the demon going for the human, blade pointed and the man not being ready. Atticus wasn't even thinking when he pushed the man out of the way. He wasn't fast enough to get out of the way himself, and the blade went straight into the side of his stomach.
Atticus shouted as the blade was driven deep into his flesh. He stood there for a moment, gritting his teeth, trying to hold in the pain. The demon was still trying to make the sword go all the way through. Atticus said as he brought his fist back, and then swung it, full-blow, straight into its face, sending it to the ground.
The sword was still stuck in Atticus, so he yanked it out, gasping and squeezing his eyes shut tightly, trying to keep going. He turned the blade and made it face the ground where the demon was about to get up, and he stabbed it in the throat, going straight through and into the ground, pinning the demon there.
As the body of the demon twitched, Atticus dropped to the ground, landing flat on his back as he grasped his wound tightly.

Buffy jumped up, worried for the stranger, and made her way to him, very simply and efficiently staking the vamp who tried to attack. "No muss, no fuss, " she mumbled, as she went to her knees next to the dark haired guy. His eyes were shut, and she touched his forehead gently. "Hey... buddy.. you're gonna be fine. We can help you out..." When he opened his huge blue eyes, Buffy was shocked at the amount of pain reflected in them. "Andrew, help me. We're gonna lift him up. And don't worry," this last part directed to the injured man, "I'm more than capable of it." She grabbed the arm not currently clutching his wound, and pulled him up. He was smaller than Angel, so it was easier for her to do so. "Andrew, grab his other side, leave the crossbow here."

Andrew looked at the sword and crossbow lying on the ground briefly, then stood up and ran over to help Buffy with the man. "Are you sure we should just leave weapons here? Bloody weapons; and a corpse?" he indicated the sword in the demon's throat. "Because I'm pretty sure my finger prints are on that crossbow." Despite his complaining he lifted, taking care not to aggitate his wound. He turned to look at the guy. "Hi," he smiled, "I'm Andrew."

Buffy thought he had a point, and hobbled the three of them to the crossbow, leaned down, picked it up, and shoved the top end into her pants front. "Better?" She began heading home, the three of them looking like contestants in a seriously bloody potato-sack race from hell. She tittered at that. "Nothing."

Atticus helped the two lift him up, and dragged his feet as they helped him walk off. His left arm was wrapped around the girl's shoulders and the other arm around the guys, and they were mostly-carrying him, and he was barely helping.
The blood from his wound was gushing out pretty badly, and he wanted to reach down and hold it to stop the blood, but he didn't move his arms and let them carry him to who-knows-where.
When Andrew introduced himself, Atticus gave him a funny look, and almost laughed, but it turned into a coughing fit.

Andrew labored to the mansion, struggling to open the front door. They sat Atticus down on a leather chair. As he pulled away he realized that the man was still bleeding. "Hang on, I think I saw some bandages with the weapons..." He hurried downstairs to find that, yes, there was in fact a medical kit in the bar. "Here," he kneeled down in front of the chair and opened the kit, producing bandages. "Er... take off your shirt." He grimaced. Adding "And that's not a come-on" probably wouldn't help his case any, so he decided to just leave it.

When Atticus was set on the couch, he finally put pressure on his wound to keep it from bleeding anymore. His face was pale, more than it usually was, and he looked sick.
When Andrew asked him to take off his shirt, he cussed under his breath. He hated when people saw his bare stomach and back because of all of the scars he had. It wasn't a pretty sight, and it would've been a shocker to people, usually.
But he knew that his wound had to be cleaned and wrapped, so slowly, but surely, he stripped off his long-coat and his long sleeve shirt, revealing his pale, scarred skin, and a nasty wound on the right side of his stomach where blood was oozing out, painting his skin red and staining the couch.

Andrew held his breath while the man stripped. He had alot of scars. It seemed that this wasn't his first time fighting with demons, if the fighting itself hadn't been an indication. "This might hurt," he warned as he cleaned out the wound, trying to be as delicate as possible. There was blood on the chair, but Andrew pretended to not notice. He started to unroll the gauze and smiled up at Atticus. "You do this often? The demon fighting, I mean. Not the being mortally wounded." He put his hand behind the other's back so he could wrap up the wound, and realized that he had blood over himself and Faith's clothes from lugging the guy here. First the car, now this... he was going to be dead.[[[I phailed first aid.]]] [[[So no commenting on Andrew's terrible knowledge of medicine.]]]

Atticus just gritted his teeth, biting back the pain he felt as the other cleaned it. It was kind of awkward...this guy wasn't a doctor-obviously-and he was touching Atticus' bare skin. But he couldn't be picky, he was getting bandaged up, and that's all that mattered.
"Both, actually..." Atticus answered the man's question about fighting AND being mortally wounded. "...as you can see." he added.
Atticus looked around at the mansion, trying to distract himself from the pain. "Nice place..." he mentioned. "...OW! ********! Be careful!" he shouted when the guy touched the wound again. "...sorry. Didn't mean to yell."

Andrew stood up, viewing his handiwork. It wasn't the best, but it had stopped the bleeding, and he was pretty sure he had cleaned the wound out well enough that it wouldn't be infected. He made eye contact with Atticus. "I guess that's it... Do you need anything? Food? There's a TV in the basement. It's pretty cool, big. You can make out the pores on Sandvoss' face." A doofy grin spread across his face. He wondered what the guy's name was, but since the previous get-to-know-you hadn't worked out so well, he figured he'd wait until morning.
