Sparkey winced slightly, his eyes tightening, before he opened them to see Valin's hand. "Hm.. Alright.." He agreed, taking the pika-demon's hand and pulled himself up, his ears twitching to hear the low rumble of thunder. "Guess it is a storm.."

Valin sighs, blinking slightly at Sparkey's reaction, then nods and carefully wraps an arm around Sparkey's shoulder as he led his mate back inside the house.

Sparkey seemed drained all of a sudden, and stumbled against Valin as they walked, seeming glad to be back inside the house when he was. "Do we have a basement..?" He asked him messing with his hair.

Valin thinks for a moment, then nods. "Yes, we do. Do you want me to take you down there?" He asks, looking at Sparkey with concern.

Sparkey nodded. "Mm.. If you would.. I don't want to be anywhere near any windows.." He said quietly, glancing around nervously at the glass.

Valin nods, then carries Sparkey down the stairs to the basement. "You want me to bring anything down for you? I can stay down here with you, if you want?"

"Please stay with me.. I'll be fine without anything else.." He told him, finding a couch to lie on, pulling a blanket over himself.

Valin nods, sitting next to Sparkey and snuggling him close.

Sparkey murred softly, huddling up against Valin, shivering slightly.

Valin wraps his arms protectively around Sparkey as the storm outside starts, flashes of lightning and claps of thunder heard roaring around the house outside.

Sparkey flinched, clutching Valin close and shutting his eyes tightly. "Valin.." he mumbled weakly, trembling.

Valin keeps his arms wrapped protectively around Sparkey, whispering in his ear. "It's alright... It's outside, not in the house. You'll be fine..."

Sparkey nodded, whimpering softly and glancing around, before clutching at his ears. "Ahh! Nnng! So loud.." He whined, as the light above themblew, showering them in sparks.

Valin flicks his wings protectively over Sparkey, glaring at the storm through the wall. "It'll be okay, Sparkey."

The wall.. did something.. strange. It seemed to gain a cloak of smoke or clouds, and it shifted to grin darkly at Valin, before dissapearing again. Sparkey had no idea of this, though was still trying to block out the noise in his head.
