((raven just realized it is hard to distinguish green and darkgreen. In an attempt to make it easier, Lucius will temporarily write in grey.))
"You seem to be very interested in this 'Circle' business," Lucius smiled with no warmth. "I'm not sure I understand though."
"Maybe," Hisoka shrugged. "This seems to be a parallel world to ours-- much like the time you fell into the book at the Earl's home."

((Wow... yeah, getting a replacement permit take a loooong time. Forgiveness. And of course I was having a hard time distinguishing Lucius from Hisoka razz ))
"Why shouldn't I be interested?" Atticus nettled cheerily, "I've never seen anything like it before--so many anthros of so many different packs, coming together to... what, I wonder?..." he trailed off, grinning at the back of the lamia's head. "I do wonder..."
Tsuzuki shuddered dramatically at that memory. All right, so not all of it had been bad... some of it had been rather nice, in fact. But... all in all, he rather liked being in his own universe best. "Does that mean we just have to see out the end of this story too?"

((Yes, it does. *pets* But the colors look so similars~~~!!!))
"Do you?" Lucius laughed quietly. "How interesting."
"I would think so," Hisoka shrugged. "But this one doesn't seem to have a plot, so that might be more difficult. Essentially, I think that we're stuck here for a long time.

"Oh yes, I wonder," Atticus let his voice carry interest, curiosity, no hint of concern. "What could so many powerful anthros have in mind as a common goal? What keeps you together? ...For what do you strive to attain?"
Well that was a cheery thought, Tsuzuki mused sarcastically. Just as cheery as 'soka usually was, really. Still, he'd seen no hint of an immediate plot other than Jan saying "Why don't you go out and do something, you lazy bum?" repeatedly. ...Repeatedly. And just look what had happened from him staying indoors--irritable Hisoka. Not that that was surprising or anything, or even directly related to whatever he'd been up to. Or rather, hadn't been up to. "And what do you think about being stuck?"

Lucius smiled at Atticus. "Do you really think that you're going to discover anything?"
Hisoka shrugged. "I can't seem to find a way out of this. So I suppose the only thing to do is make the best of it. Tatsumi seemed to agree with me on that when I was able to catch him for a moment."

"Euch. 'Discover'. You make this sound so... official... or is it sinister? I can't remember which~" Atticus smiled evenly, "I've never had a way with words. I'm still quite curious, however. You seem to adore ambiguity." He paused, hopping a bit closer towards the lamia so as not to be walking behind but rather beside him, "Would it be too bold to ask your name, sunshine?"
"Just wait it out..." Tsuzuki echoed the sentiment, wrapping his arms around one of Hisoka's pillows and settling further down in the bed to watch his partner closely. That hadn't answered very much. Not... not what he felt about it, anyway.
He wasn't going to be able to avoid the subject much longer, not without grating on 'soka's nerves simply by lounging about in his presence. "Speaking of Tatsumi, he said he's kind of... concerned... about a friend you've made here..."

Lucius laughed. "I'm Lucius Malfoy," he introduced himself calmly and quietly, that legendary Malfoy arrogance shimmering in each word.
Hisoka snarled at that. "I think you'd do better to be concerned with Tatsumi's friends, Tsuzuki." Those green, green eyes flashed with a deep seated anger-- and a tinge of fear? "Or didn't you know? He's been spending time with the Circle."

The arrogance went through one of Atticus' many pierced ears and danced its way straight out the other, leaving a memo suggesting he get to know more about the lamia before passing judgement. Sometimes pride came with a reason, after all. "Never heard of you," the coon replied sweetly. "Though apparently, you've heard of me." Pause. Bright, childish, dripping with sarcasm but a possible glint of hope, "Let's be friends!"
Tsuzuki caught that glare full on, unprepared for its intensity but not about to look away. "No..." he responded slowly, "I suppose he forgot to mention that at the shop... ...I've only heard whispers of the Circle in any case, Atticus is the one so interested in it. I'd... originally thought 'leave well enough alone', but..."
This was certainly more distressing than whoever Hisoka chose to talk to. Maybe... maybe Tatsumi was 'making friends' because he'd been worried over Hisoka in the first place? Or... No, that seemed too rash for someone as calculated as Tatsumi. "That's just great," he moaned, "I don't even know what that Circle rubbish is all about!"

((Y'know, that first made me think that Atticus had many ears.... many, many ears...))
"I somehow doubt we'd make very good friends, Atticus," Lucius responded calmly. "Now if you'll excuse me, my son appears to have disappeared again."
Hisoka sighed softly. "What do you want to know?" he asked, turning to face Tsuzuki.

Atticus made a face at Lucius behind his back and flitted off to explore the rest of the house. Surely there were less ambiguous people about. He'd have to keep in mind that comment about a son, of course... A son...
"Everything!" Tsuzuki exclaimed helpfully. "Why everyone's always so mad at them--worse yet, scared of them. What the heck they do anyway--who they are, why I'm supposed to be afraid of them!" his face twisted in digust. "It's like a pack of bullies or something."

Seishirou slipped through the halls, concerned. Perhaps someone would have an idea about what should happen next... after all, everything was getting out of hand too quickly now.
Hisoka sighed. "They're a bunch of anthropomorphs who've decided to take up the role of 'police' for the house. More of the Gestapo with a touch of protective secrecy, not unlike the Mafia. Each one by himself is... powerful. But together..." Hisoka shivered slightly. "People are afraid of them because they're dangerous, Tsuzuki. How dangerous? Let's put it this way-- Muraki's in the Circle. I don't know who else you know of my house mates, but... that should tell you something.
"The good news about them is that they've decided to put the rest of their house mates under their protection-- as well as mates who don't cross them. There are some negotiations, but..." Hisoka shrugged.

Atticus zeroed in on the tall angel the moment he spotted him, "Hello, stranger!" he called lightly, spreading his feathered wing in greeting as he half bowed a salute.
Biting his tongue against speaking too quickly, Tsuzuki mulled over the new information in his head. If Muraki was in the circle... why in Hell was Tatsumi associating with them? Unless he thought Muraki might know something about why they were all stuck here... Even then, that was foolish. Tsuzuki might not be much of a thinker but he knew better than to get within ten feet of Muraki... ...Perhaps his past didn't illuminate that too well, but he tried!
"Well..." he began, realizing belatedly that his voice was quiet and weak with surprise. "Well," he began again, regaining control of the shock, "I guess you and Tatsumi are safe from them, ne? Better that than nothing..."

Seishirou blinked, then laughed, smiling his usual smile. "Hello there, Sir Atticus. I've heard much about you already-- was it Lucius who let you in?"
Hisoka sighed and moved over to the bed and curled up next to Tsuzuki, suddenly exhausted. "I don't think it's that simple. I don't know what deal Tatsumi made with them-- and if he's IN the Circle, I don't know what that means."

Atticus sniffed slightly, as if about to sneeze. "Why does everyone in this house know my name?" he asked plaintively, walking forward to actually greet the angel, "I don't know any of theirs--except for Lucius, as you mentioned. He's something of an a**, you know."
Tsuzuki sat up and looked down at his partner's head bemusedly. Yeesh, these mood swings... He supposed that was what came of having to leave life at the teenage years... Come to think of it, Hisoka, living in the same house as Muraki? Man, this was a sick, sick world. "You're tired," he commented blithely, entirely off subject.

Seishirou smiled. "Forgive us for being something of gossips, Atticus. It's a habit of ours-- sharing information. My name is Sakurazuka Seishirou. And yes, Lucius can be something of an a**-- he does things which are... out of line, at times."
Hisoka sighed, leaning into Tsuzuki's warmth. "You try living here and trying to be responsible," he muttered. "I'm still trying to get used to everything. And..." he paused, unsure.
