"Okay!" The clownfish agreed eagerly, moving a little so she could try to help pick it up with either her fins or her mouth. Or both. Of course she had no idea that moving it could possibly kill the sponge if it was alive, but then the way of the world was life and death wasn't it?
"I'll help! On your mark!" Finding her holds, Topanga waited.

Aki also did not know that moving the sponge could kill it. and it was probly better he did not know that. He got his arms in good holds and looked at her, "on my mark... GO!" He pulled and tugged. The two of them slowly got it out of the current on to the ground.
Aki let go and looked at it sighing. "I am not sure how to tell if it is alive... maybe poking it a bit?" he said and started to poke the sponge all over looking for some sign of life

Her face flushed with excitement that they had succeeded, Topanga studied the sponge as well. Her nose crinkled. "It smells, and not good. I can't think how anything still alive could smell that bad. Maybe we should take it someplace sunny and wash it out a few times." Of course considering a sponge was a gigantic living filter it was possible for it to smell bad, but this one seemed to have taken in far more waste from the current than it had successfully filtered. There was a high change that it had died, but the force of the current continued to fill it with food it could no longer use.

Aki nodded, "Lets get to some cleaner water and try and get the smell out. I know there are rocks and apoke above the water line we can Ues to dey it out. I am pertty sure it is dead and we do not have to worrie about that." He smiled and lifted the sponage. It was not that hard now that they where out of the current. "ready darling?"

"Oh, Yes! Let's!" Topanga exclaimed excitedly, swimming up to kiss his cheek lightly but with affection. "I can't wait until we get it clean and ready!" A bright flush warmed her cheeks as she thought beyond that to their "celebration" later. Then she added, almost shyly. "I've never had a bed before."

Aki stopped then remembered he was carrieng the bed and then started movine again, "never? he gave her a questing look, "what did you sleep on?" They made their way back to their home. where aki begain to swim up to the highest cloeset rock that could be out in the sun to dry

The clownfish shook her head. "Never." Her head quirked at Aki's questioning look, wondering what it was for. "I just sleep swimming. We all do." Then she blushed crimson again and paused to offer what help she could in getting the sponge onto the closest rock to surface and sun.
"Never was fully still for sleep at all... until I started falling asleep with you." Oh, yes. There was definitely a keen interest in that pastime again. Barely held back with knowing they were waiting for a celebration this sponge would get to play a key role in. If it cleaned up nice. Topanga severely hoped it would.

Aki smiled, "I have not slept that way in a long time. It has been a long time since i was not worn out when i went to sleep." he smiled at her. As they reaches the surface he looked at her, "hold on i will be right back." he set the sponage on the rock as close to the waters surface as possible. He then moved next to it and took his upper body out of the water partly sitting on the rock. Then he pulled the sponage (which was a lot heaver now that it was not in water yet filled with it) and he pressed on it draining the water as it came out. When it was finally all out of the water he sliped back in smiling at Topanga, "give it a few hours and it should be dry which will mean it will smell better"

Her eyes danced, thinking how nicely they tended to wear each other out. She of course was pretty active, so until the moment sleep climed her Topanga was usually always on the go one way or another. She had not problem sleeping wherever she was.
Of course ever since meeting Aki and sharing with him... Topanga prefered the kind of sleep she found in his embrace.
"A few hours?" She pouted softly and swam a circle around the evolved male. "What would you like to do until then?"

Aki smiled and watched her swim around him. He chuckled, "not really sure. Though not something that will put us both to sleep." he looked at the way she glissend with the sun this cloes on her scales and wished he did not say that. "we can go clean up the house a little and gather some food if you like."

Although she was disappointed the idea of doing things to get there -dare she say it?- home in order both had its appeal & was very logical. "Oh yes! We can do other things to make it our own! Plenty in a few hours!" She swam up to kiss him lightly, though unable to hide what she felt for him even if she tried. "And we should have food for our celebration too."
Her eyes sparkled, laughing silently.

Aki took her fin in his hand and lead her down to their home. They made busy with cleaing all the dirt out and just making it more livable. there put a bit of floral life in there with having a bit to eat. Then getting weed together for their bedding.
when it had been a while he lead Topanga up to the top again and pulled the sponage in. it did smell much better after being dryed out. As he came down with it he was grinning, "ready to get it ready" there was a glint in his eye saying how happy he would be to use said bed

It was a wonderful time for Topanga, getting their home ready to live in together. Already it was feeling like home & she loved it.
When the pair returned to fetch the sponge and Aki asked if she was ready to get it ready she felt something leap inside her & shivered with excitement. The clownfish female nodded, exclaiming enthusiastically. "I've been ready for hours!"

Aki smiled feeling much the same way. There was a reason why he made sure to get togther things for their bedding before they even had a clean bed. He did not want to appear the lover he really was (though he though Topanga already guess at that...) but he did not want to wait longer then having something soft under them.
he carried the sponge down and went in to their house, "Where do you want it?" he asked her. setting it down somewhere ready to move it to where she wished

It was one of those things Topanga knew though she did not know or think about it -the libido of her lover. It was something she enjoyed and liked very much and was very grateful for. Of course other than children, making love with Aki had come to take up the vast majority of her thoughts and most certainly her daydreams.
She followed him, trying to get her body under the back end of it to ease the weight a little for him but careful not to overbalance the sponge with her desire to help. Topanga thought only a moment before giving her answer. "In the room that can see into the nursery... angled so we can glance into that room but so that anyone just swimming around out here or even down the hall can't see in right away."
