Hey everyone, welcome to the guild... I know its very empty and as the first night of its existence I would like to talk to everyone new, get to know each other a bit. 3nodding
Well, I am Blood`Eternity, Blood`Trinity, Blood`Demon II, Blood`Demon, bloodmage... or just Blood. My real name is Corin Prendiville and I am a 16 year old college student, but before you awe at me... its a community college. mrgreen Anyway I used to be big into gaia, I owned the 20k Poll Guild and a very large thread and I was a multi-millionarre [had like 6 mill worth of items which would now be a good 14 mill]. Anyway I am still a multi-millionarre, but only 3 million now and I quit gaia for the longest time, but earlier today I decided I wanted to start another guild, something that I was interested in [now no longer interested in being the richest person on gaia], I have recently wanted to learn new things I had no idea about, but its hard to find a lift off point so I thought maybe some other people could teach me, and walla The Poll Guild of Knowledge was concieved.
So, what about you?

Well, the Sage of Knowledge, Dew, has joined. I guess I should post a little information about myself. I am 22, I'm male, I am a second year college student as of Fall '06. I am majoring in Multimedia and Animation, although I plan to change to an English major sometime in the future. I don't have a whole lot of gold, but I manage, especially with the help of a few friends here and there. I am a digital artist and web developer. I am a power-user as far as computers are concerned. I don't care much for Microsoft and a few other companies. I collect out-of-date systems and build them to suit my tastes. Standards are important and I stick to W3C Recommendations and ISO Standard sets. I am also a freelance artist. I do sketches, airbrush paintings, oil paintings, water colour, charcoal, you name it. I am a writer, although I have no published works yet. I am the litterate type, if this post hasn't given that away yet. I am a Sage of EDEN (Ecclectic Daoist Eastern Naturalist). It's a philoshphical approach to life. It is not a registered religion, nor is it a religion. It is a personal take on Daoism and some other eastern approaches to life. Most of it is centered around the progression of knowledge. Some other stuff: I love anime, I help program a MUD that is 14 years old at the time of this post. I am an avid gamer, although I am a little behind the common gamer. Oh, and I practice martial arts. I know Tai Chi Chuan: Yang style and Taekwon-Do (USTF-ITF) and have ranking as a 7th Gup as of this date (going to 6th in December). I guess that's all. ^^ Quite interesting, Never have heard of EDEN myself, sounds, odd.
I personally am a red belt in So Bak Do [Korean martial art], but I havent trained in that fighting style in years.

I'm far from being a font of knowledge, but I know a few things. I've kicked around for a little while now, so I hope I've picked something up. My knowledge is usually hindered by my rubbish memory, so apologies in advance for my umming and ahhing.
I'm 18 and studying 3D Computer Animation. I wonder whether I should be studying languages instead, since I've been topld I have a flair for them, but that is neither here nor there. However, if I did study a language, I'd study Russian or Japanese (in fact, I'm taking as beginners' evening class in Japanese, so that's got to count for something hehe).
I used to write and draw a lot, but over the past few years I've not had as much time, or rather, I've had more persistant, less dodge-worthy homework.
I like anime and manga a lot smile 'Nuff said.
I suppose I'm a casual gamer. I dip into a few games at a time, but I never seem to get to the level of some hardcore gamers. I'll obsess over a game for weeks at a time, then get bored and move onto something else, making my way through my collection of games (sometimes adding more) before I inevitably work my way back to the first game that piqued my interest. Maybe one day I'll make my way up to a higher rank of gamer (read: beat more people) but until then I'm happy dotting about.
That's all I can think of for now ^_^ That and I'm partially sighted so I can do this *waves white cane at you*

I'm a fifteen year old high school student. I was actually kind of honoured to get an ivitation to this guild and as you can see, I have promptly joined.
I'm a horrible speller (I actually spelt November wrong on my Science project last night) but besides that, I'm just an average teenager girl with slightly nerdy tendancies.
I play video games for around an hour every night, which to my friends, makes me a gamer. But I'm really not. The only game I've ever beat is Super Mario Sunshine and Final Fantasy II for SNES. I say FFII, but I've actually only gotten to the very last level and I can't beat it for the life of me.
In school I've taken up Graphic Communications and I quite enjoy that. You know, drafting, screen printing and such. I've been in two school musical's (chorus only) and I take a drama and multimedia softwares class too.
My friends think I'm a nerd because I "know" stuff. Like, knowing the diatomic molecules off by heart is not nerdy. It's simple.
Now I've droned on and on so I'll shut my yap and explore the rest of the guild.

Im new here. Its amazing, guilds are much diferent than the rest of gaia. I can relate to everyone here, but there aren't as many people to reply to your posts... i guess thats benificial in some ways.
I'm 13 and in 8th grade. I study biology and im facinated by animals. I live on the computer and games. If i didn't have internet i would die of boredom. I've been writing a book for a year now and i love anime and manga.

Moushi Moushi.......I don't even know if that's how you spell it. Ne wayz. I am a freshmen and I'm kind of excited the I was invited to a guild. I love techno,glowsticks,manga,anime,J-POP,J-ROCK. Pretty much anything asian. Well, I am kinda new to Gaia, and I luv going into forums to give my opinion and read others as well.......................... rofl

Yes, you are not a gamer... :] A true gamer would have beaten atleast 50+ games and know over a thousand, also they would know everything about the next gen consoles and probably have very good computer skills, especially in hardware. I swear, im not a dork. biggrin
Anyway, the diatomic molecule thing is kind of nerdy =P Maybe you can explain it to me so I can increase my nerd factor.
