i got my nickname one band class when some of the other percussionists took down a school clock, attached it to some string and hung it around my neck...i was hence forth called...Flava Flav... xp

my low team has very strange nicknames. this kid james is the vaccuum. and the rest is our names backwards because it sounds funny.

It all started with our trumpet player, Graham-terd... then Mall-terd, Jeff-terd, Rev-terd XD;;
(I refuse to call my BD Sir-terd though!!)

I don't personally have a nickname, but out band director's one is J La. His real name is Jason Landes, so...... biggrin biggrin

I don't really have a nickname, but my jazz name freshman year was Dyslexic Mango. Does that count?

Ooh. Other people have good names though.
Domidick the trumpet and his sidekick Tomidick.
Mousetrap plays percussion.
And all of us saxes have names.
I'm just Lisa Simpson, which is boring. (My name is Lisa).
Then we have Ryan "I play sports" Suhy, Vincenzo a.k.a. "Killer", and Adam "Hair club for men" Harkey.

My director has the best names, though. His name is Witczak, pronounced Wit-Sack.
So he goes by Papa Sack, the Sackmaster, Woodsack, Marty, the Jew, and once I heard the other director calling him the Jewish Princess.

There's Tuba Dave, Little Levi, Blueberry('Cause his saxophone is blue, but the BD calls him Jimmy James) Fry, Bannana Boy, Desirey (ac big, bulky guy actually named Carry) and....ummm....I don't really have one, but they did call me flinch--once. It wasn't my fault that my extremely tall section leader walked in fornt of me when I was at attention (and hence looking up), lowered his sunglasses and revealed eyelids-turned-inside-out. I couldn't NOT scream. sweatdrop

I "adopted" one of the saxaphones in my band...she's a freshman, I just finished my senior year, so I called her my "pet froshie"...so she decided to call me "Raycheelay" for no apparent reason...
...but freshman year I suppose I had a nickname...kinda...
There was this girl in my class named Jada. She was about 6 1/2 feet tall, really loud, and I'm not sure she was entirely sane, but she was the nicest person ever. I was just starting to play trumpet and, well...I wasn't very good at it, so in one song we didn't have enough percussionists and my teacher demoted me from third trumpet to crash cymbals.
Well, Jada had decided she was sick of playing her flute and took up the bass drum (only the bass drum, no other percussion) instead, so she was standing there with me for three months learning the percussion part and she called me at intrevals "Crash" and "Blowah" (I'm really not sure where the second one came from...she just kinda threw it on me on like the third day of school...)

My teacher calls everyone in the class either "Doof" or "Nerd"...I usually end up being "Nerd" to him...(I really am a nerd...) that or he calls me and my friends "Japanimation freaks" (Me: IT'S CALLED ANIME! NOT JAPANIMATION!)

We seriously have a Jesus and a Moses in out band. They look JUST like them. They're real names are Dan and Josh though. sad
