"...You hacked my files.....Well then you know exactly why I'd rather lose my memory. Of course...there are several reasons that I still want it." He said scratching his ear. he looked over at Cid and made his hands into a sign. Instantly Cid's glasses were fixed.

"Its ok.....you may want to check Cids glasses." Kinnera said, knowing full well that his glasses were fixed. He petted Pyro, and Pyro bit his finger. "Ow...." He mumbled looking at Pyro. He put the hood on his jacket back on. "I better go. If you want to follow....i'll be in the music room." After saying that he jumped out of the tree, followed by Pyro. Then he walked back into the University.

Kana found herself wandering into the courtyard, yet again. There just didn't seem to be that much to do around here. She'd left Karin and Koichi, and everyone else behind at Ria... Her ears drooped slightly until she remembered something. Koichi told her not to be sad! So her ears perked up again as she looked around in determination for something to do. Seeing nothing really, she bound towards a tree and sprang into a lower branch, soon scrambling up even higher. She plopped down on a broad one, black tail curling around it, as her bright blue eyes surveyed the area. She didn't see anyone around at hte moment...
She let out a small sigh, but then shook her head rapidly side to side, even more hair falling out of her ponytail than before, not that she cared. Her clawed hands were lightly gripping the branch she sat upon, just in case she did somehow manage to fall, as she continued staring around, expression almost blank.

Joy sat under a tree, reading a book she had just obtained from the book store a couple miles down from the University. The Making of Intelligence, an analysis of how the human brain grew into maturity, stored information and how it differed from person to person, enabling them all to be intelligent or idiotic. A quite interesting piece of literature.
The girl raked a pale, small hand through her straight black hair, brushing the strands back from her face, revealing piercing sapphire eyes, resembling icicles, not just in color, but containing their sharp, hard and perfect qualities.
Vibrations around her suddenly moved, pressing against her sensitive skin. Joy looked up in annoyance and glared at the female who had chosen to jump into the tree above her. The rustling leaves refused to stop shaking, giving out wave after wave of unpleasentness. Joy twisted her babish face into a grimace, her icy eyes narrowing. Her features slowly changed back to a cool mask as she called up to the girl, her voice a velvety midtone, full of musical capacity, yet laced with annoyance and threat.
"It's quite rude to jump into a tree above a person and disturbing their peace--" Joy's sentence was cut off by a brown leaf that had landed on her head. She crossed her eyes to look at it, glaring at the harmless mass.

Kana's ears perked suddenly as she froze, her eyes going wide. Was someone... talking to her? She looked down, and when she did, looked quite stunned. Had that person been there the whole time? She listened silently, shocked, and then suddenly snapped out of it. She bowed her head low as she opened her mouth to beging a frantic apology, but stopped when the girl cut off. Uwah..? she thought quietly, opening her eyes again as she stared downwards. She just gazed at the leaf for a moment, not moving at all. But then she smiled broadly, laughing. "There's a leaf on your head!" she cried childishly, and then swung downwards, hanging upside down from the branch with her legs hooked over it, bent at the knee. One hand was kept busy holding her sleeveless black top in place, while the other reached down and delicately plucked the leaf from the girl's head. "There you go!" she said happily.

Joy grunted an insencere thanks, instead examining the girl. She seemed like quite a happy being, unfortunately, and not very interesting. The girl instead turned her eyes to the scenery. Everything was turning red, orange and brown. It was all dying.
At least there isn't snowJoy thought to herself.
Another leaf feel in her direction, the girl plucked it neatly from the air in mid-descent. She held it up to eye-level, turning it this way and that. This leaf had a base color of orange and a starburst like patch of red in the middle. Joy's mouth twitched in appreciation of the beauty of the dead leaf, dying things were always the prettiest.
The woman once more turned to the girl above her. She handed the girl the leaf. She wanted a second opinion. "What do you think of this leaf..." Joy trailed off, she had yet to know the girl's name. She wasn't wearing anything with her name on it, no back pack or binders, nothing to read off of. Joy let it go, figuring that with that girl's attitude, she'd tell her eventually.

Kana watched the leaf she'd picked up, holding it carefully between two claws. Somehow, she manged not to tear it at all. And then her ears twitched and she looked down again, still hanging below the tree branch by her legs, one hand still holding her shirt in place. A silver locket was hanging upside down, twisted slightly so it rested against her cheek. "Kya..?" she murmured as she accepted the leaf carefully and turned it over a few times in front of her face. She blinked, turned it more, blinked again... and then finally smiled down at the girl. "It's really pretty!" she cried cheerfully. It really was too, to her. "It's different in the middle," she continued. "Than it is on the edges."
She began swinging slightly back and forth beneath the branch, acting as if the scraping of her bare skin against the bark didn't bother her, though really the insides of her knees were turning red. But she ignored this all, still staring at the leaf, silent for a moment, until a sudden thought occured to her. Her swinging stopped as she placed the arm that held the leaves over her stomach to hold her shirt, and extended her other hand down towards the girl. "I'm Kana Oshiru," she smiled.

Joy stared at the hand offered to her. It wasn't that there were claws on it, rather she wasn't sure how much she wanted to get to know this girl. With a sigh, Joy reluctantly raised her hand above her and engaged in a vertical handshake. "Joy Lullaby."
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad having a friend here, maybe she could show her around once in awhile. Besides, when she graduated her mom would whip her if she didn't have any friends.
"So.. Kana. Do you know where the library is?"
((Is there even a library here?? XP))

[Yes! There is a library. xD]
Kana shook the girl's hand happily, head bowed, though it looked sort of odd because of her position. "It's nice to meet you!" she said happily and then looked back at her, a large smile upon her face. She paused for a moment upon hearing the question. "Kya? Library?" For a moment she didn't move, and then she suddenly raised one arm, pointing off in a seemingly random direction. "It's that way!" she said grinned, and then added proudly, "I can smell the books from here."
She swung back and forth a couple times until she finally jerked forward, sitting herself upright on the branch before abruptly jumping down again, landing neatly on her feet. She was a cat, after all. She smoothed her shirt back down and then looked at Joy before holding out her hand to help the girl to her feet. Her other hand was still carefully holding the two leaves.

Joy's lips turned down at the edges, for most this would be a frown, but on the baby-faced Joy, it made her look bemused. The girl pointed at the leaves. "When we get to the library I'll show you how to press those, that way they'll stay flat and you can even frame them."
Joy then reached up to clasp the girl's wrist and pulled herself up. It was amusing to see how much shorter then the girl was, she had inherited her mother's shortness.
"Well then, off to the library" Joy headed off in the direction Kana had pointed, then stopped and turned her upperbody to look at Kana, waiting for her to catch up. It would be no good to get lost... although if she wanted she could map out the entire University easily, hopefully there would be some sort of plaque with the name of the building carved in to it. Since things gave out vibrations in a circular motion, it was impossible to tell what a painted sign said... without using her eyes that is.

Kana's eyes darted back to the leaves she held, and she was suddenly glad she hadn't let them go yet. "Ok," she nodded, still smiling as if she hadn't a care in the world. She helped Joy stand and then stared at her for a moment, her eyes actually shining in sudden happiness. Someone... someone was shorter than her! She stood at five feet, five inches, which wasn't that bad, but everyone she'd known at Ria seemed to be six feet or taller. So this was, strangely, very exciting for her. She definitely didn't say so aloud though.
Then Kana realized Joy had started ahead of her, and she quickly darted over, falling into step beside her. She had one leaf in each hand now, and was turning the one Joy had given her over and over in front of her face, as if thoroughly examining it. It really was pretty... She made no sound at all as she walked, bare feet stepping lightly over the grass.
