((Baaaack...that took too long sweatdrop ))
Oga was thankful for the young leopard cub for saving her. She was so exhausted that she had not run away after the cubs had let go of her. She came to her senses and saw that the cubs were going to fight the leopard that had saved her life. She had to do something about it. She would rather be prey than to see someone who has saved her life, die. She decided she was going to do something.

Usiku felt rather than saw the eland behind her move and turned her head, chancing taking her eyes off of the male leopard. "I told him you wouldn't hurt him if he....ah!" Taking her eyes off of the attacker had cost her, as she felt Mizaku's body slam into hers. His fangs almost grazed her neck, although she quickly turned at the last moment and hit her shoulder instead.
The panther could feel her own blood starting to trickle over her fur from the small wounds inflicted already and winced at the pain she had just begun to realize. "Is your pride so inflated that you feel the need to fight me?" She hated fighting, especially another leopard, but now she would never give up.
With a second to find the lion cub, she was immensley grateful that at least he was undecided as to whether he wanted to help his friend or not. If it were the both of them, she knew she would be done for.
Usiku shoved her forepaws into the body of Mizaku, intending to push him back, away from her.
((Hodari is so cute! Too bad there isn't inter species mating. *wink wink*))

Kasida's ear flicked as she slept in the tree. Something or someone was making a lot of noise. It was no use, she couldn't sleep now; Curiosity was bubbling up inside her. Letting out a large yawn, the leopard cub sniffed. A smell was on the breeze.. it was.. blood! She imminently jumped to her feet, almost losing her balance. Clinging to the branch, she sniffed again. Her gut was telling her it was unsafe to follow the smell, there could be an adult lion out! But.. her stomach said otherwise. She was hungry. Quickly glancing around, she leaped to a branch, following the smell..

(( xD *imagines a little leopard/lion* omfg. hybrids! *kicked* lol.))
::Hodari took in a sharp breath, backing up a little more.. His heart had slowed down quite a bit now, his hunger subsiding a little. He was still hungry but.. not as hungry as before. He just.. felt sick now..::The lion cub stared at Mizaku for a short while, glancing at the eland and then the black leopard before taking off quickly...::
::The look on the cubs face had been far more sad than it had been before. His eyes almost closed, his head had been bowed very low.. His tail had been between his legs... As he had turned to dash away there appered to be a slight 'sparkle' in his eyes.. But, it could only be seen for a brief moment as he ran away from the group of animals.::

Jumping to another tree, Kasida looked down to see a little lion cub. The leopard lifted her head and sniffed. The blood did not seem to be coming from this pride-cat. She normally didn't associate with lions, but this one seemed to be running from something. She wanted to know what was going on! "Hey, you!" She called out the little cub. Kasida was nervous, but he couldn't hurt her up here.. "W-what's going on? I smell blood.."

::Hodari stopped running, head still lowered towards the ground..:: "Just..... some hunting..." ::He murmured, looking towards the leopard in the tree.:: "Nothing.. out of the ordinary..." ::The lion cub started walking, keeping a pace.. Running would just tire him out...::

Kasida watched Hodari slowly walked away. Something seemed to be bothering the lion.. She shook her head, flattening her spotted ears back. Why should she care about lions? The leopard cub turned back towards the smell. It was getting stronger, she was definitely getting closer! And if it was a hunt, like that pride-cat said, perhaps she could pick off whatever was left! Filled with glee and hunger, she began to make her way towards the fight, a little faster this time.

::Hodari had continued down his path, stumbling a little every now and then before collapsing upon his stomach, a sigh being emitted from his mouth.::His greyish tail cureled up around him as he placed his head upon his paws, lying there on the ground, lost within his thoughts...He.. was hoping Mizaku wouldn't be angry with him for having run off....::

Mizaku was pushed back, but he didn't want to stop here. His hunger was driving him insane now, the more energy he lost the hungrier he got...and the more he wanted to sink his teeth into fresh meat. Scarlet drops of blood slid off his chin as he snapped at Usiku again, then slashed with his right paw. His tail whipped around him furiously. In this rage, he hadn't even noticed that Hadori had left. He glanced to where the lion use to sit, and then back at Usiku for another attack.

Oga seeing that her life saver was in trouble she decided to join in on the fight. She had nothing to loose, while the leopard cub did...the rest of its life. Oga was old and had seen the better days, and knowing that she had abandoned her herd she was expecting her death to come soon. Horns lowered towards the ground, she charged towards the cub.

Usiku growled and snarled in pain, her shoulder acking more than anything. Having succesfully pushed him off of her, the leopard regained her barings and tensed her muscles, ready for the next attack he was going to launch. Before she had even time to plan her next move, she saw Oga launch herself towards the male leopard. She knew that this was bad.
"No!" All she could do was try and rush towards the creature and hope to push it off its corse.

Mizaku's eyes widened as he watched the charging eland. He narrowed them again, and jumped as high as he could. He landed on her head, in between her horns. He knew something vital was around here somewhere...her bit deep into her skin, just behind head where it met her neck. He dug his claws into the fur and hoped for the best...

Usiku stared in shock as the cub jumped and landed on the eland's head, right between the only things that could have hurt him. Feeling her heart beating in her chest, Usiku stopped running before reaching the pair of them and watched, transfixed by horror, as the heat was taken off of her and placed on the eland.
A small part of her was glad for this. She was not a trained hunter or fighter and had been suprised she had lasted this long. What would happen if the leopard killed the eland....would he come after her next?
Usiku, fearing for her own life now, back up and crouched low on the ground, keeping as out of site as possible for the time being.
