Syaoran instantly blushed dark pink and furiously shook his head. "N-no!!" He covered his "name" with his arms. "I'm fine! I've got it written down!"

About to address the class to put their name tags up, Mokona looked over to a small discussion and a flustered Syaoran. His face was an awfully dark color...was he sick?

"Is Li-san okay? Mokona thinks something is wrong..." he commented.

Syaoran's cheeks just turned darker as he gritted his teeth in embarrassment. If he lied and didn't ask for help, eventually the whole class would see his name and know that it was spelt wrong. To him, that would b e much more embarrassing, so... "U-uh... M-Mokona-sensei," He felt pretty weird talking to a... well... whatever he was. "I don't think I spelt my name right," he muttered, hoping the rest of the class wouldn't hear.

He had to...write his name...in english...
Watanuki stared absent-mindedly at the blank paper before him. He rarely wrote in english, and found it extremely hard to do. What was with all those...crazy lines and things? Letters? Come on, kanji is so much easier to understand. He frowned and picked the pen up and began to slowly and deliberatly write his name.
W-a-t-a-...
Watanuki clenched his teeth and stared at the paper. This was always the hard one. He could never remember if it was the letter with two or one arches.
-n-u- he could remember the n because the u looks just like it, only upside down. -k-i!
Watanuki!
"Heh." He said, staring down at the name he had written. That was definetly his name.
K-i-
"Not one arch..."
m-i
"N with a stick..."
h-i-
"Half of an n..."
r-o!
Watanuki Kimihiro!
He slapped his pen down on his desk and folded his arms over his chest with an accomplished look on his face.
If you had looked at his paper, you could have sworn he was born an American!

Sakura blushed, she didn't mean to put Syaoran on the spot like that. "Gomen ne, Li-kun..." she whispered to him. "Do you want me to help you though?" she asked, listening to Watanuki's shouts of glee across the room with a smile.

((Oh my God, I love Watanuki. heart ))

Yamazaki started. Had he been staring at her? "Sorry," he apologized, "I didn't mean t-"

As he spoke, the white fluffy teacher in front of him began to write her name. Watching curiously and slightly entranced, he was impressed to see that the creature had excellent penmanship. (sp?)

"Oh yea," he said suddenly, remembering where he was. Picking up his pencil, he bit his tongue as he tried to write his name down in romanji, ignoring the satisfied sounds coming from Watanuki. "Um..." Argh, why did his name have to have a "za" in it? He never knew if he was supposed to use an s or a z...

"Ya...ya, ya, ya, is that with this thing?" he mused as he drew what looked to him to be a stick waving its arms around. "I think so..." Muttering to himself the entire time, he managed to write out "Yanasakee Takachee" before setting his pencil down and studying it with a frown.

"I don't think this is right," he said uncertainly.

((you play him really well! very kawaii... as wata is to me!))

Chiharu thanked Mokona-sensei, then gaped a little. Is that what English looked like? "It's a bunch of sribbles," she whispered to Yamazaki, "it's harder than learning hiragana and katakana in first grade!" Watanuki had just completed his work and she snuck over to look. "Uwa... jouzuu ne..."(sp?) she said, looking at his perfect penmanship.

Sakura noticed that one of The Syaoran's and Watanuki had written their name so perfect and glanced down at her own sign. It was just written in Romanji, which was sort of like English, right? She hoped that her name was the same in both languages, then it would be as if she wrote it perfect.

She looked over at Tomoyo and smiled a bit. "Tomoyo-san, how's your name look?" She asked, wondering if Tomoyo would know how to write it already.

Li only blushed more and shook his head to answer Sakura's question. "N-no... I... um..." This was so embarrassing... Looking around the room, it appeared that most of the students already knew how to write their names in english. However, Mokona was helping out some of them. He became a little bit less embarrassed and shrugged his shoulders. "Actually... If you know how to spell it, I wouldn't mind the help."

Mokona waddled on over to Li to look over his work. But before he could do anything, the teacher found that another student was already helping him.

"Li-kun sort of has the idea but Li-kun also needs to give thanks..." he smiled.

Upon hearing that Yamazaki was also having trouble, the pork bun bounded on over to the other desk to take another look. He had gotten his name a little closer than Syaoran, but was a bit off.

"Mokona sees a few mistakes!" he said, stating the obvious before flipping the paper over and writing it correctly. "But that is why Mokona is here! Mokona will help!"

Realizing that she had wandered off a bit in her daydreaming, Himawari snapped back to reality in time to see what everyone else was doing.

Happy with herself for forcing her mom to teach her how to write her name in English to impress the teacher, the pigtailed girl took out a small sheet of paper and neatly wrote her name "Kunogi Himawari". Not realizing that her family name wasn't supposed to go first, the girl sat there pleased with herself.

Sakura nodded, picked up her pen and began to write out "Li Syaoran" in swirly letters. "There!" she exclaimed exictedly and capped her pen. "Here," she said, handing Syaoran his nametag with a smile and a light blushe

Tomoyo gave Sakura a smile of her own before holding up her sheet of paper. On it in was written in loopy, fine cursive "Tomoyo Daidouji".

"Can I see yours?" she asked curiously, already imagining the way Sakura's name would be spelled out in her mind. Still, she was quite curious to see the girl's handwriting.

Yamazaki watched as Mokona rewrote his name for him. As the foreign letters were written out on his paper, he realized that he had mixed some things up.

"Yamazaki Takashi," he mused outloud after the teacher had finished. "Oooh...so the "shi" sound is written with an s, not a, um, curvy side half circle thing..."

He glanced at the teacher, a question coming to mind. "Does it matter if we write our surnames before our first?"

Mokona gave a small giggle at Yamazaki's explanation for English letters before answering his question.

"First names are usually written first in English, unlike what we usually do. It doesn't matter too much this year, but if Yamazaki takes English next year it will!" he explained.

Seeing as most of the class had already finished, the teacher gave one last nod to Yamazaki before heading back towards the front of the classroom.

"Okay students! Because no one usually learns much on the first day of school, Mokona wants to answer any questions students may have! So please ask," he smiled.
