1st one: Funny. It really defined who Jack Sparrow was. This one's my fave.
2nd one: Introduced bergaining to the series. Had it's funny points.
3rd one: Lots of bargaining, some sword fighting, not enough funny. And the plot is just nuts (in a good and bad way).

With a kid? Nah, main characters having a child usually kills the series.
But... it's freakin' Pirates of the Caribbean. As long as there's a buck or two to be made, there'll be a sequel. Maybe.
