It was not long after Tax felt alone in the house that he rose from the tub and discovered a towel to dry himself with. He was unaware of how this particular basin was drained, so he sheepishly decidedly to leave it as it was and later apologize to Khnui for the mess. The Forester had been an amiable host to him, and not to mention had saved his life, so the lad wondered what could be done to express his gratitude. Perhaps the simple trade of a favor for favor would suffice...he would have to see. Slipping his trousers back on, with one arm he collected everything he had brought into the room while his other hand patted his hair with the towel. Returning to the place he had slept in, he meekly scanned over the possessions he considered to be his own. A tattered shirt and molding boots were not exactly great treasures of the world. But Tax was a simple man, and therefore would not have minded if he had no material gain. He set the salves back onto the endtable because although Riana had given them to him, Khnui might like their use in the future. Realizing that the porridge remained undrunk, Tax looked thoughtfully at it a moment before starting to gulp it down. He hadn't much of an appetite, in fact he was still vaguely ill, but he felt that forcing the stuff would be good for him as to have something in that tumultuous belly. Holding the empty dish between his teeth when he finished, Tax regained the twine for his hair and tied it back again. A gasp of air escaped his lips as he finished and he had to remove the bowl to his hand to let himself recompose. Steady, now. You can recover. Forget yesterday for now...as your future is still unfamiliar. With a stern look in his eyes he grabbed his disheveled clothing and left the room, pausing a moment to return the bowl to the kitchen where it seemed the other dirty dishes might go. Scoping around one last uncertain time, he confirmed that Khnui was vacant and set his barefeet downstairs and out the path of the door. Standing in the light of this new day his spirit lifted a bit, the yellow in his eyes creating a marvelous suncatcher. He decided to tie his shirt into a sort of sling and slipped his boots into it, then holding that casually with two fingers of his left hand behind his back. The bandages across his chest proved enough covering for a modest's glance, Tax was never humble in that fashion anyway. And the honest ground felt wonderful beneath his soles, like a wordless communication with nature, although it did not tell him where he was going. If nothing else was his, he was the owner of a wanderer's soul, and in such a fantastic setting he found himself in now...it would be uncouth to leave it be undiscovered. Starting a slow gait, he also pondered upon finding that Chrono...to see if he had also recovered from his wounds.

The walk to Riana’s was short and uncomfortably quiet. Blaise seemed distant and well concentrated on whatever she was thinking. When they got there Blaise peeked past Riana’s open door and gave it a knock.
“Ey, Riana! I’ve decided to train Rosette in the forest today instead. I figured we would take Chrono along too, so…”
She took a step in farther and glanced around the corner to see that Riana had a visitor.
“Hey, hey! Tyr, long time no see! How’ve you been?” she called to him.

"Oui! Chrono!" Rosette said, following after Blaise and into the house.
Chrono smiled fondly as Rosette entered, but looked cross as she began to loudly laugh at his appearance.
"You look like a girl!" Rosette teased, standing beside him and leaning on his his head. "You need help with your hair, right?"
"Yeah, if you'd be so kind..." Chrono replied through gritted teeth.
"Alright, then, shorty, take a seat and I'll fix you up!"
Chrono looked at her, a little surprised, but found a seat near the others none the less.
"Ugh, look at your bow! It's filthy! Wait here, I'll go clean it off." She said, taking his bow and disappeaing down the hall.
"Blaise..."Chrono said after Rosette had left. "Did something happen with Rosette, she isn't acting as happy as she normally does..."

Blaise looked Chrono and shrugged.
“It’s been a rough couple of days. She’s had to learn and accept many new things so very quickly. It’s difficult the first two days…I know it was for me.” She answered while peeking down the hall to Rosette, “Quite a soft creature isn’t she? I now see the emotion the Lieutenant was talking about. She’s going to be difficult to train I know it.”
She paused for a moment and looked back to Chrono. “I wonder who will be training you.” She said, “If the Lieutenant thinks it will do anything for Rosette he might just stick you with me as well. I’m pretty good with dual trainings. Won’t that be a treat?”

Few people took the time to notice or care much of the peculiar, shirtless wanderer as they had seen newcomers before and had places to be. The ones whose eyes did drift to meet his were complemented by a smile and a polite nod of the head when Tax's own were not circling all over the place to suck in the atmosphere. A bustling, rustic utopic that he had not come across yet and brought many questions to his mind. How did this all really come to be? What was their plan to overthrow the Monarchy? ....Who was in charge? Trying to calm his growing excitement, the lad settled upon deciding to ask a passerby about the first matter that had concerned him: Chrono. Briskly stepping to the side of a young lady, he cordially grinned.
"My dear woman, could you help me? I was just brought here last night and am seeking the one I was rescued with to see if he is all right. I believe he is with, Riana? She seems to be your secretive nurse around here."
The girl laughed, relating to how Riana did seem to pop up out of nowhere at times and heal people. Nodding, she agreed to point directions to her house with several hand gestures. Being in too much of a hurry to chat, she turned on her heel after the instructions with a parting wave. Tax returned the wave graciously.
"Thank you for your assistance!"
Looking back to the way that the maiden had gesticulated he advanced, and hoped that he had understood her right. If not, it was just a matter of wandering over to someone else for help....

"I understand, but to make things perfectly clear, I will not fight Rosette." Chrono said flatly. "I appreciate all you have done, but what I will do in return my only go as far. I could never harm her, even if it was accidental."
"There! " Rosette said, coming back in the room and acting just as bouncy as before. "And I found a brush!"
Chrono smiled politely as if his conversation with Blaise had never happened, and sat straught and still as she began to braid his hair, reminding him, "Now don't move!"
"I won't."

Blaise shot Chrono a questioning look. It was not the fact that he seemed protective over Rosette that startled her. It was that he seemed to think that he would be fighting her. He must not have found out much from Riana about the existence of the Fugitive Foresters. They do not fight each other because they can, the point is to train with a ‘master’, if you will, until they have earned the privilege of sparring with another. It’s also the student’s choice who they want to sparr with in the first place.
Blaise leaned against the door-frame in a causal way watching as Rosette braided Chrono’s hair. He was a strange lad, she had to admit. He had an air about him that was unusual for those who were just recently rescued and his eyes and hair were of the most unusual color, but it wasn’t her place to pry. So she kept her mouth shut.
“How old are you, Chrono?” Blaise asked with small interest to make the question seem trivial.

He walked out of the training while he ignored all the protests. He just simply did not care at the moment since they basically got away scotch free in his mind. He remembered when he disrespected his Tkhanskh. He had to go without food for a week and had to travel the highlands to gather enough firewood to keep his father's forge hot for a month. And forges take up a whole lot of fire wood in oder to keep going. So he just kept walking until he got to the edge of the forest. He then suddenly stopped. He wanted to go..... He had to go. But something was telling not to. Something within the deepest core of his being. He had done this for many years without fail or a single thought against it. He didn't know why it was happening now.

Chrono gave Blaise a surprised glance, and chuckled mildly.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afarid I don't really know. I've forgotten quite a few things about my life."
"I found him in this old cavern near where I used to live. I reckon he was out there and fell through the ground like I did. Probably hit his head and forgot."Rosette added.
"Yes, she's right, I'm sorry I cannot give you a straight answer."

Blaise smiled knowing well what he meant.
“Yes, that is quite a common answer among Foresters, do not be sorry. I myself don’t know when my true birth date is. I just mark my age by letting it advance with every New Year.”
Blaise glanced outside and to the bits of grey sky that could be seen through the trees. She could feel the slight beginnings of winter coming on, marking holidays in the forest. She smiled knowing that the forest would in a couple days time be lightly touched with snow. Their particular spot in the forest would protect them from blizzards and blights only giving them pleasant winter days. She looked back to Chrono and Rosette briefly.
“I suggest I show you around a bit.” She said, “Seeing as how I probably won’t be able to train you much until I do.”

"Right!" Chrono said with a cheery smile. Rosette was preoccupied with tying the end of his braid, and had yet to hear her.
"Oui, what was that?" She asked, loking up a bit later. She wore Chrono's hair grew twice as fast as he ever could.
"She's going to show us around." Chrono replied.
"Brilliant! It couldn't get a good view in the dark last n-" Rosette paused, glancing at Chrono as his stomach growled. Loudly.
"Eh... heh heh... sorry. Haven't eaten much today." he said sheepishly.

((Sorry I've been awhile! Between school, soccer and work I'm beat!!))
Tyr had perked up at Blaise's entrance and made a show of his flashy smile. "Oy to you Blaise. You have been hard to find sitting still these days. Busy is your middle name!" Standing and stretching in his laid back way, one half opened eye peeping quickly at a fumming Riana, he said, "I was just stopping bye to say helo and ask Riana to meet me later at the sparring grounds. As far as I know she hasn't eaten dirt in a while." As he said this he leaned over and patted her cheek. Rearing out of her seat Riana opened her mouth angrily, a snappy retort quick on her lips but she found his hand pressed firmly over her mouth. With a laugh and a light jump he was out the door and gone before one frustertad syllable was out of her lips.
Grumbling to herself Riana glared at Orik as the dog followed Tyr out and then sat poking holes in her sandwich. She listened vaugely to the conversation and watced chrono's messy mop transform into a neat braid. How odd. Finally she got up from her seat and joined in.
"I for one would love to forget my past, though perhaps then I might not be as dedicated as I am." With a small shrug she turned and gathered up a few extra knives and things out of a cabnet, tucking htem into various holders about her person. "Anyways, I've seen this place from top to bottom, so you go have fun with that tour. I'm off to make a mud pie for a dear friend of mine." With a sneaky grin and a small wink she was off, as suddenly as Tyr before her.

((Ah, no problem))
Blaise smiled at Tyr’s quick exit and waved goodbye to Riana as she followed behind him. “Ah, we’ll stop by my house to get you a small bite while I’m showing you around. It shouldn’t take too long to get you to know this place, there’s only four basic parts really.” She said as she stepped out the door and waved for Rosette and Chrono to follow. As she looked around she could see a shirtless man wandering towards them. He looked a bit familiar, then she realized that he was rescued along with Chrono.
“Oi, Chrono. Isn’t he the kid that was in your cell with you when Khnui rescued you? What was his name?” she said looking back to Chrono and pointing to Tax.

Luckily, his given directions were in fact straightforward and he found himself before the house that had to have been Riana's. He even thought he saw her running off after another fellow as he approached, but the true smile came to his lips as the strong blonde of yesternight opened her door and beckoned for two figures inside to follow her. Catching a glimpse of violet, he guessed one was Chrono. Blaise saw Tax and he did not falter, in fact when her neck was turned to inquire of his identity he was given ample opportunity to slide beside her and slightly bow- so his eyes could be level with hers. The suddeness of his voice might have given her a start, but was the tone of a perfect gentleman's.
"My name is Tax, my lady."

"So... is it typical for guys to walk around here with their shirts off?" Rosette pointed out bluntly as Tax approached them.
"TAx!" Chrono said with a grin. "Glad to see your on your feet as well. Feeling better I trust?"
"You know him?"
"In a sense, I helped defend him from our captors, that's how I was stabbed."
"This guy is the reason for that?!"
"Well..."
Rosette had already rounded on Tax and was looking him right in the eye.
"You..." She began, "You..."
Then sudden;y, she put her hand on her head and ruffled it would a good laugh, like she was greeting an old friend.
"You are a lucky one that Chrono here was around to save your butt! Tax was it? You are a lucky boy!"
