Gemstone My boyfriend has runes, no idea where he got them from though, and I don't think he knows how to use them, and they were done with paint, not blood eek
what are they made of? i've heard of people buying ceramic ones...
the idea of buying runes in general makes me kinda sad but since i currently have access to a ceramics studio maybe i should be exploiting the stupidity and consumerism of the masses..
that is what the purpose of life is, anyway.. right?

anyway I find all this stuff interesting, but I am Christian and don't believe in any of it, but I do find it neat 3nodding I think it'd be fun to have redings done

My runes are made of terracotta. . . or whatever. Don't know how well they work though. sweatdrop

meorria the better they are connected to YOU, the better they will work for YOU. not to say the better they'll work for you in a good luck sense, but in a truthful, detailed sense. but i trust that since you have experience with tarot, you know what i mean and i don't have to run around in circles trying to explain this 3nodding
lol. About half a year ago, I did a reading for my mom. I kept getting all these cards that were telling me about a home or living space. I just kind of stopped in the middle of the reading and asked my mom if she was thinking about a house. Sure enough. ^.^ She had just gone to a showhome while I was at school and had it on her mind. lol. I kinda freaked her out since I've never pinpointed anything like that before.
I think it's because I've had these cards for a while, we've got that whole synchronicity type thing going on. 3nodding

Seldaara Yep I know. ^.^ I do the same with them as I do with my tarot cards, and my cards work great (they're getting more and more accurate all the time. It is neat. XD ).

whee Hmm, they're made of wood, like a twig cut into slices that look like little pizza's. xd Thing is, I thought runes were supposed to be made from small, smooth, round, flat rocks. neutral But I really don't know much of anything about Tarot or Runes...

but it's harder to come by the tools needed to carve into stone, than it is to come by a knife or a wood burning tool. 3nodding
like all forms of divination, there is no ONE right way to do it, or to use it.
tarot decks are all different, different themes and pictures, but the symbols and concepts are generally the same. it works the same for runes, you can use any material, as long as the symbol/concept are the same.
it works the same way for the I Ching divination / oracle consulting...
you can use pennies or twigs or stones or whatever works.. some things just take longer to get an outcome.
