Daegonna's eyes flashed dangerously. Then Iden spoke into her mind, and she relaxed a bit. .:.Why didn't you just speak to me yourself?.:. She replied, some of the irritation fading from her. .:.Oh right, you're....preoccupied. May I ask with what? Or whom?.:. Evidently not all of the cattiness and irritation had abated.

:: Preoccupied with not walking up and punching Sera for not keeping his little pet monsters on a leash. You KNOW how well I get along with his ilk. And I would have, but I hadn't FOUND you until just now. This IS a big place. ::

Daegonna sighed. .:.You may not like him, but I'm having fun. You had better have a damn good reason for interrupting. If not, I'm going back to what I was doing.:. She was already walking back towards the stall where Sera was, and her irritation prickled through her 'voice.' Something still seemed off about this mess. In spite of Iden's advice, Daegonna had both .45s loaded, with a round chambered in each. She had the safety on, at least.

:: Just follow the little ferret.... ::
And yes, Liela was now scrambling, leading the way. The healthy little ferret was making her way down the road, and turned off 'round a few stalls.
And there Iden stood. By the time Dae approached...it would perhaps be just a wee bit late to pull back, as an unseen presence was now behind her. O-Kuni was standing there, keeping himself clear, but his presence would not be hidden.
Iden, for one, was standing there, leaning against his scythe. Impaled on the blade was the body of Javos, still breathing and everything...and Iden didn't seem bothered. In fact, he seemed highly amused at the scene.
Heyo Dae. Got a bit of a proposition for you...

Daegonna sighed. Iden was going to be difficult. Liela didn't give her time to go back to let Sera know what was up. She made a mental note to apologize to him later, and perhaps make it up to him somehow. As she rounded a bend, she came face to face with a helluva shock. Javos, with the blade of Iden's scythe jutting from him like a bloody pennon. Already Daegonna could feel someone behind her, but that wasn't the most disturbing thing she felt. She could feel the corruption in Iden, it was like the way you can almost taste the stench of rotting meat. It was cloying, choking. It was the aura of an Abomination. She'd blundered right into a trap. "Iden, what have you done now?" She asked. She didn't sound angry, or even scared. Just....sad. Resigned. He'd told her, not long ago, not to jump to conclusions or do something stupid. 'No matter what it looks like' he'd said. Was this what he meant? Daegonna felt sick, and tired. Her hands were already on the .45s on her thighs. They were in perfect working order, and she had a stubborn set to her mouth as if she had already decided she'd shoot him if need be. And, knowing Daegonna, she had.

Aye, now that she was there, Liela was as she would seem. A disgusting, diseased corpse of a ferret. It had left a trail of flesh and fur as it moved, until it was curled around Iden's ankle.
Done? What have I done? Followed orders, kid...from a new boss. No...this is not what I meant when I left those toys with you...
Iden chuckled softly, as the area around them began to fade away into silence. It was as if somehow they were removed from the market, despite that they still stood just where they had originally been.
Go on, shoot me...I'd love to see the aftermath. But no...I have need of you for something you seem quite skilled with. You ARE still in touch with your magical shenanigans, right?

Daegonna's eyes flashed with fury. Predictable fury. "You betrayed us, didn't you?" She snarled. Her eyes flitted nervously from side to side as everything around them....faded, muted. Daegonna had already shifted into a loose fighting stance. She knew already that shooting him wouldn't work. If he was an Abomination, he could probably make them malfunction, and she didn't much wanna shoot herself by accident. She began building power behind the mask of her numerous heavy wards, and mentally prepping for a teleportation spell. If she didn't plan it right, she'd teleport herself into a brick wall, or worse. The places she might be safe right now were also impossible to teleport into because they were so safely and heavily warded. Where could she go? "No, Iden. I'm layin' off that stuff." She said sarcastically. "Too dangerous." Leave it to Daegonna to stall by mouthing off. She barked out a series of short syllables in a language that had been dead for many years, and cast her hands out, one in front and one behind her, directing an explosion of power at both Iden and O Kuni. Then she darted for the nearest alleyway as fast as she could move.

Iden was blown off his feet by the sudden flaring of power. He laughed as he did, and was on his feet quickly enough. But it wasn't him that Dae need worry about. O-Kuni manifested directly in her path, the daemon unscathed by her spells. Eldritch energies curled around his form, monstrous and threatening as Iden approached from behind.
C'mon, Dae, I haven't betrayed anybody. The rest of the family's on my side, too....

Daegonna skidded to a stop in front of O Kuni, then backed away. Her heart skipped a beat when Iden spoke. "Traitor!" Daegonna whirled around to face Iden. Rage glittered in her eyes. There was nothing for it now. The girl's wards broke like dams, and two rivers of violet flame rushed for Iden. She felt bad about Javos being there, but if Iden had corrupted the rest of the clan, it was kind of too late for trying to protect the remains of them. It rather looked like Javos might appreciate being killed right about now anyway, transfixed like a bloody fur coat on a peg as he was.

Iden sighed, and held his arms before his body, shielding himself from the flames. Fortitude invoked, his skin turning resistant. Dark energies wreathed his form, the scythe humming behind him.
The flames washed over him. His skin was blackened, charred, and began to flake off, but he still stood. As for O-Kuni...the flames simply dispelled before his form, and he returned the favor.
Deep indigo energies rippled out from his form, mirrored by Iden's. They were forming a barrier, caging and entrapping Dae as best as it could.

Daegonna realized she was wasting her energy, and that Iden would not be moved. The flood of flames stopped, and she began chanting, her hands moving quickly in deft arcane passes. She was casting quickly, but, as with most battles of spells, it was a matter of who started first. Dark energy rippled outwards from Iden and O Kuni, the tendrils twining about Daegonna, caging her and disrupting her casting. She cursed, lashing out at the power, and if he would come close enough, Iden. She wasn't getting anywhere but refused to give up her struggles. As a last resort, Daegonna reached out with her mind, fumbling through the hundreds of other consciousnesses in the market as she sought Seraphim. It was a little easier because she was familiar with him, but Daegonna had no real psychic ability. Would he feel the panicked flutter of her mind against his? Daegonna doubted it.

Iden leaned in towards Dae as she struggled to get to him. He was smiling, and held out his hand to accept hers. He planted a quick kiss on the back of her hand, and stepped back.
Now...if you would be so kind...?
The tendrils of power were lashing around her limbs, folding upon her person. It FELT like he was trying to drag her into his waiting arms, properly restrained.
Let's go for a trip...

Daegonna gasped, shuddered, and tried to jerk away as Iden caught her hand in his, and lifted it to his cold lips. The indigo tendrils were tightening around her body, binding her and her power so her struggles would soon be little more than futile squirming. She let out a scream that was half earsplitting noise and half power, the sort of combination that could strip flesh from bone. It was like a Word of Power, without the word. She couldn't think of one. Burning him hadn't moved him, and she doubted bludgeoning or cutting him would. The energy was aimed to simply flense his flesh from his bones so his insides spilled out. That'd be satisfying, and, usually, innards spilling out of the body ends fights. Would it in this case? It was unlikely. Within moments she was bound, and drawn into his arms, still writhing and trying to escape.

Iden was pulverized, his chest cavity blossoming in an exquisite spray of gore. He staggered backwards, though...the damage was not quite so potent as it should have been. The vital viscera that should have been properly mulched was still intact, and pulling into his chest once again.
Now that was not nice...
The energies winding around Dae's figure sharpened violently, and wracked her body with pain. Iden was grimacing in irritation, and barely contained rage. His hand grasped at his scythe, and Dae pulled into his open arms. The robes about his person furled outwards, wreathing them both. Then the dark clothing rolled in upon itself, drawing them both into the void. He made his way away, taking Dae and Javos with.

*Seraphim yawned as he casually browsed along the lines of shirts and material inside the coevered stall he'd found. Silver embroidery sparkled over silk and lace, the Cainite's delicate fingers appreciative of quality as he nosed along.
Finally settling on a beautiful indigo spill of material that barely covered him where necessary, he shrugged into the new shirt and settled it over his shoulders. He purred as he let his fingers play over the tattoos that showed through, ears jingling as he pulled his hair out, then wandered back out into the sunlight. Lighting a cigarette, the Diablerist breathed out slowly, a dragon of smoke curling upwards as he glanced up at the sky, nose and ear tips twitching as his eyes scanned casually across the crowds*
.: Like a butterfly to sugar... you fall into these things so easily sweetness. :.
*He yawned again. He knew where Dae was, who she was with... everything. How was currently unclear. He didnt seem too concerned as he mentally spoke to her, but ANY who saw his face would know how angered he really was - Iden had made a BIG mistake. He had stolen Sera's woman away while he was on a date. This was WORSE than just about anything else Iden could have done, and it would NOT be tolerated*
.: Still, I suppose its not your fault... want me to come save you yet, my little damsel in distress? I wanna show you my new shirt. :.
