"Sooooooo... Gonna tell me what you got planned?" Night asked She and Carlos found their Sharpie in the first twenty minutes, Carlos's wolf nose finding the marker quite easily (He had dragged Night through the forest, and she was covered in bruises and scrapes.) "I know you have something, or you would have suggested I make them my pets, like Carlos."

At his name, the werewolf looked up, and, seeing that she wasn't addressing him, lay back down on the floor.

Secretly, Night was worried. Kurama and Hiei had not eaten yesterday, and they had refused the food she had cooked for them. "You think they'll find something edible in the forest Kasai? Other than each other?" Night blinked. That sounded a bit...odd. "Or was that your intention?" She narowed(sp?) her eyes. Why hadn't Kasai told her, if this was her plan?

"Yes, Hiei, we are searching for a writing instument," he said, mildly amused by how he was acting, though his expression only allowed contentment to be seen. Even that was strange, considering the situation, but it was better than giggling like a crazy schoolgirl.

The last two comments made the demoness smirk a bit, but she didn't answer them. "If you must know what I'm up to, I'll tell you. But don't tell them. I'm sort of in the mood for a romance... if you understand, that is."

Yes, this wasn't quite a game, but a story in a way, or at least that's what she prefered to compare it to. Kasai loved to read, but got the feeling on occasion that she wasn't actually doing anything entertaining, so why not pull a few demons into a trap, torment them, and make them realize already existing feelings?

Once again, she watched the two, but this time held the orb out for Night to watch. The psychic rarely let her see, but why not let her in, now? It was like watching human television, but with the perks of knowing that they were the cause.

"Ohhhhhhhh. Well, I coulda told you that..." She looked into the orb at Hiei and Kurama, wondering why they were so surprised that they were looking for a Sharpie. Did she not tell the fox that they had to find the marker, or did he think she was speaking figurativly? Funny people, these boys.

"I'm sure there are many things you could've told me that I don't care to hear." Her tone had been more cruel, the woman not being able to stand niceness for any long period of time.

"I do think they'll be searching for quite a while... I'm sure even you and your werewolf couldn't find that Sharpie," she said, merely for conversational value. She wasn't going to say where she hid it, unless Night asked. It wasn't important.

"Of all the..." Hiei trailed off, muttering. If they ever got out of this, he was going to light that child on fire.

Having been walking for a while, the koorime forgot about their binding. He darted forward slightly, and was shocked when he was pinched hard. And on top of that, trying to get ahead so fast made the cuffs yank him back slightly, and he had tripped back on Kurama, nearly knocking both of them over. Releasing his surprised grip on the fox's clothing, the koorime got himself standing upright again. He did not look at the other, thoroughly embarrassed.

"They're gonna need food, if you hid it as well as you..." Shadow trailed off. the only way Carlos would have failed to find anything is if it was submerssed in water. "Did you put it at the bottom of the lake?!?" Night almost shouted. "They'll drown, or get hypothermia, or worse, stain their clothes!"

Gotta go! Be back by monday!

Kurama wasn't very embarrassed, mainly surprised, but very much so. Quick thinking was the only thing that had kept them from falling, and that might have been even more awkward.

And hadn't the hi-youkai just teased him for forgeting about their binds? But he wasn't going to be so cruel as to mention that, since he was already throughly embarrassed, and he was sure Hiei had even blushed.

Or maybe he was just hoping about that last part? That was a strong possibility. Having the Koorime fall against him hadn't been an unpleasant thing at all. Definitely not. But surely the other didn't think the same way?

As much as Hiei tried, he could not make the heat in his face die down. He had tightened his jaw in preparation for whatever tease Kurama was sure to throw at him. But when the fox said nothing, Hiei paid a quick glance and loosened slightly.

Giving a small tug, he continued forward and tried to focus on red things, which turned out very difficult. Currently his mind was put into a dizzy state of questioning. He wanted to kick himself when he nearly walked into a tree.

For the time being, the only red thing around was Kurama's fiery hair, and it had been that way for a while. They were fairly deep in the forest, in an area that hadn't been decorated, so there was nothing fancy. But it was still beautiful.

"Have you seen anything, yet?" the red-head asked, merely trying to help clear the other's mind, wanting to do him a favor. He could tell that something was nagging him. Actually, the fox had the same problem, but for a different reason, he guessed.

"No," Hiei said lowly, still feeling quite awkward. He had seen some red things a while back, but nothing they were looking for. He urged himself to scan the area carefully, but still... nothing. The youkai cursed under his breath and glared into the forest.

"How are we supposed to find a small pen in here?" he hissed.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 17, 2006 4:39 pm

That was a very good question. Such a thing would have little to no recognizable scent, wasn't easy to see, and had no aura of any sort.

"If I knew, I'm sure we would've found it by now," Kurama replied, sounding a bit more irritated than would be expected of him. Not knowing things bothered him greatly; he was used to always having answers. In only two days, the young demon females had tricked him numerous times.

He could only imagine how the half Koorime felt, since he usually seemed to tone down his anger when around the fox. Surely he already had planned those girls' deaths many times over by now.

A growl sounded in the koorime's throat and he gripped his katana for a moment. He would've liked to slice through every tree in this damn forest, but with Kurama attached he would not be able to without hurting someone.

Stopping and closing his eyes, Hiei inhaled slowly. When he opened his eyes again, he was looking up. He could tell it must be around noon or so by now. They'd probably have to sleep there. Hiei might not have minded. But sleeping cuffed to someone might turn out to be a delicate thing.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 17, 2006 5:17 pm

Hiei was not pleased; that much was horribly obvious. He might've suggested going back, since he had no doubt that Night had found her Sharpie, but he also was positive that the females wouldn't separate them. This was something that would put the fire demon in a yet more foul mood, and that wasn't a good idea.

On the bright side, Kasai and Night were nowhere around, so they wouldn't be bothered, nor tormented with food right in front of them, tempting them to eat the food that might've been tampered with. Though that thought didn't keep his mind off of eating, of course. Nor his stomach from growling, which was out of his control.

"What do you propose we do now? Wander aimlessly? Rest?" Scanning the area constantly got very boring after a few hours, even if the scenery was new.

"Rest," Hiei decided, taking in another soothing breath. "If I have to strain my eyes any more, I will set this forest on fire."

Knowing he could not rest in the branches like he wanted, the youkai sat against a tree, taking the fox with him of course. A part of him said they should keep looking, but for now he ignored it. He wanted time to relax and clear his mind. It seemed it would be good for Kurama too.

But, he had heard the faint growl, and his own stomach seemed to reply to Kurama's.
