Your first change you were spared not only the traumatic physical changes (as you were left sporting only a "ruff" and "muffs") but also most of the pain that many of the other islanders spoke of.
This time, however... you are not quite so lucky in the pain department. Your back hurts. All day. Particularly your lower back near your tail bone. It seems to only get more intense as the day progresses until... suddenly, the dull aching seems to spike into a firey hot searing pain as you can hear the crack as your tailbone unfuses and then begins to grow. Quickly. And LONG. It stretches out, past your butt, past your
knees... and almost all the way to your feet! It starts out a long skin-covered bony appendage - thin and naked... but as it reaches its length, like watching grass growing on fast forward you can see and, eerily enough,
feel thick black fur sprouting up all around it. However, the fur growth is not just limited to your tail. It circles your ankles, growing up and up and up to your knees. Meanwhile, it also circles your wrists, growing to your elbows. Your ruff around your neck gets thicker and... a strange white streak manifests in your hair.
Finally, your feet hurt - particularly your toes as you watch them lenthen, goign past the front of your slip-on shoes.
