misunderstood101 I'm going to say the trumpets in our band. They are THE most cocky, obnixous, annoying, loud, spiteful, mean, horrible, and down right jack @$$e$ in our band!!!! ONE RANDOMLY CALLED ME FAT & I STARTED CRYING AND THEN EVERYONE IN THE BAND ALMOST JUMPED HIM!!!!!! I AM NOT FAT!!!! scream I WEAR MEDIUM SIZED BIBBERS AND THEY'RE HUGE ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!! scream sorry... because of the trumpets in my band... i have come to dislike all trumpets until proven otherwise!!! gonk So our school isn't the only one with stuck up and cocky trumpets. That's good to know that we're not alone. But yeah, I don't get why they like being so mean, or is it they don't know they're being mean and don't know how to be nice?

i hate our trumpet section. they either play too loud or dont play at all. But really i think its the people i like, not the instruments.

lets see in my band...i don't like the bassoon player but i guess the first clarenets kus they think thir soooooooooooooooo better then everyone else and just becuse i'm a third claranet...they can walk all over me stressed GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR evil I just wannna! twisted anyhoe lol

Unfortunately, we only have one nice trumpet. She quit band because of sports. We have no nice trumpets out of a total of nearly 20.
One of the female trumpets is so mean, she like encourages her section to be hostile toward other sections and likes to pick on us. So annoying, I'm glad she's graduating.

Flutes, because the ones I know aren't too nice. And oboes have to use their music occasionally, and it's annoying. mad
And saxes, they are uber cocky.
These are based pretty much only on the people I know though.
So nothing against those instruments in particular.
And to those of you that hate the sound of an oboe, it's because you haven't heard a good oboist, listen to a good instrumental soundtrack of a movie and you'll love the oboe.
It pwns.

I don't really hate an instrument in our band. And for all of you that said you hate the trumpet you suck unless you were talking about people who play it then nevermind. The trumpet has the best sound and is the most interesting instrument in the band.I mean how come everyone who plays another instrument always asks "hey can i hold your trumpet?" or "can i play your trumpet pleeeeze?"

I've never said that. Most of the woodwinds I know will never say that. We don't like them because they have no control over their sound and overblast, covering the woodwind sound, even though we're playing the loudest we can.
Not to mention the fact that some of our trumpetists can't produce that "best" sound you say they have.
And I don't find it interesting at all. I find it interesting how some people like to be annoying and buttheads and blast. Why on earth is that so fun?

Oh wow...didn't realize how much my section was hated, lol I am a trumpet, proudly so for 5 years, and I used to be a clarinet for 4 years. I'm sorry everyone seems to hate us trumpets, but the ones in my band are pretty nice, with the exception of one jerk that we kicked out for being so uncooperative with everyone else. The only section that our band seems to zero in on when it comes to disliking is the flutes..not the instrument, but the people that play them. Our bass drums get picked on a bit because they are horrible, but the rest of us get along just dandy.

it's always the baritone horns screwing up. stare we almost always have to keep wasting our time that our band teacher has to keep teaching them over and over again, but they just NEVER LISTEN! stressed

In our band, our trumpet section is despised because they suck.
But when we go to all-region and things, the flutes drive me up a wall. I just don't like the instrument. It's too high pitched.
