From her place down the table, Destiny smiled confidantely at the Captain.
I believe that you will get us out of this yet sir. Although I'm just the cook, I will do whatever you need. Switching veins, she asked " Would you like some roast sir? We have some mashed potatoes, with a few onions, or would you prefer broiled fish?
She presented both dishes with a flourish for his approval and selection.

-: "Bless your sweet heart, Destiny. I'll do my best, though it may take more than most of us are willing to sacrifice. As to that, if you are willing to sacrifice a good hunk of that roast & a spoonful of those potatoes, I'll be greatly obliged." Standing, Jack removed his coat and hangs it under his hat upon the far wall. Now in his shirtsleeves, he retook his chair and carefully took the steaming plate of food. It smelled delicious and would likely taste twice as good.
"But as to a safe haven when we land in Portsmouth... I know not. If we could miraculously escape from the harbour, through the city and make our way north through the countryside backroads and fields, we could always try to take refuge at my families old estates." Scratching his chin, he ran his fingers over his two day stubble. Taking a knife and fork in hand, he poised on the roll and then dove into his meal. It seemed ages since last he'd eaten and now was as good a time as any to gorge himself. :-

The smells of the fresh food had Made Reginald realize that he was quite hungry. However he sat there patiently with the intention of waiting until festivities were concluded before carrying out his assigned task. His stomack decieved his presence however as it let out a long gurgling moan.

Syn crouched in the corner, listening to the conversation carefully, her face drawn and nervous. The smell of the food taunted her nostrils, the small Purser shifting uncomfortably, resisting the urge to plug her nose so she wouldn't be tormented with memories of eating. She disliked how her reluctance to eat would give her an appearance of rudeness, but there wasn't much she could do about it. Instead, she tried to put her focus on her clothing, deciding what, if anything, should be done for it. The ragged jacket that hung on her shoulders had needed patching months before now but repairing it at the moment was not necessary. Come to think of it, her entire minuscule wardrobe needed repair, but there was the good chance she'd never even need a wardrobe again anyway. And thoughts of clothing were not enough to sway her attention from the food, so instead she began to hum a classic pirating tune, gray eye staring at the others and the food.

Leaning back in her chair and sipping the luke warm cup of tea that she had been holding for quite some time during the disscusion, she turned to the captain.
"And how are we to escape through the city dressed in our finest? It might be a bit obvious, esspecially around the dock."
Knitting her brows together she was trying to picture a plan that would end well for them but she was drawing a blank, and their time for thinking was quickly coming to the end while the enemy ship slowly drew closer with every passing breath.

-: Attempting to swallow his food and talk at the same time, Jack nearly choked, but cleared his throat and got it down before uttering any real words. "I've thought of that already. Though, I'll need everyone's co-operation when dealing in the matter. It's going to take some getting used to, but I think the crew will deal with the matter well enough."
Setting his fork aside, Kurisutofa sat back with his tankard in hand. Swilling the drink about in his mouth, he sat back thinking of how he'd pull this little masquerade off. It would take cunning. It would take bravery. It would take some very ill-placed judgment on part of the British Officers to get the Lady's crew ashore without notice.:-

Raising a dark eyebrow at the mysterious answer, she shifted in her chair. She felt uncomfortable, restless. Normally the sea could calm her wild spirit, but she felt caged. Rubbing her finger over the rim of her tea cup, she looking into murkey water.
"If you'll excuse me, Captain, I wish to return to your quarters so I may see all of my things stowed and in order."
Rising gracefully, she looked to him for his leave. She could feel her legs beging to itch with the movement and she wished to change into something more freeing, less constricting. She had forgotten how nice it was to wear loose fitting clothing.

-: Hearing Midnight's request through the loud din of his own thoughts, Jack placed aside his tankard and rose from his place at table. "Make it so, Miss Midnight. See that your things are stowed away daintfully and quite at home. We wouldn't want anything to go awry would we?"
Smiling at her as she stared at him with that quizical 'what-are-you-up-to' gaze, Jack nodded and half saluted her as she left the galley. He too would have to leave soon, for there was much to do and little time to do it in. The 'Boadicea' was likely to be just off their starboard quarter within the next few minutes, and he wanted to be ready when their Captain hailed the Brig.
Shoveling down the last of his supper, Jack washed it down with the remaining wine in his tankard and rose from his place only long enough to grab his pipe and tobacco. Stuffing his pipe and lighting it, Jack puffed a few smoke rings over the head of the table. "So, is everyone ready for absolute chaos, because that is what's going to happen the moment we step foot on deck..." :-

*She raised her eyes to the Captain and nodded slowly. Her pause and quieted demeanor simply showed she was deep in thought as she took up her glass to drink once more. Jaden was worried of what was to lie ahead, but she felt confident that their little ruse would suffice for the time being and give the crew time to iron out a plan of action for when they reached port.*

-: "Right then. Time and tide wait for no man. Particularly a man with a price on his head. Therefore, I want all Officers and Crewmen to their stations immediatley - dead and dying. If you know where you are supposed to be, then good. If not, then shame on your daft soul and listen up because I'm only going to say this once: Quote: [Tutorial]"Beat to Quarters" - Ceremonial & Battle Divisions - Quarterdeck:~-- Captain - 1st Lieutenant - 2nd Lieutenant - Sub-Lieutenant - Sailing Master - Master's Mate - Steward - Senior Midshipman - Quartermaster Maindeck:~-- Bosun - Bosun's Mate - Doctor - Doctor's Mate - Ship's Lawyer - Midshipmen - Purser - Topmen Foredeck:~-- Carpenter - Carpenter's Mate - Foremast Hands - Midshipman - Sailmaker - Sailmaker's Mate - Landsmen - Bowermen Any service rank left out, please address me immediatley. Battle Requirements - 'Responsibilities in Action' Lieutenants, Warrant Officers & Midshipmen - During an Engagement where the Guns are in use, an Officer is assigned to command a Guncrew. This Guncrew in turn is assigned to two guns: one located on the Port side and the other located exactly opposite on the Starboard side. In Battle, the tactical use of a Broadside requires that one side of the Ship be fought at a time, thus the Guncrew can fight one Gun against the Enemy, leaving the other Gun lashed to the Bulkhead until it is time to switch Guns.
An Officer only answers to those who rank above them; none other. In the case of the Ship taking an Enemy Vessel a Prize, an Officer will be assigned to the task of manning the Prize with a small crew and standing as Acting Commander of that Vessel until said Vessel is condemned as Lawful Prize by a Prize Court in a neutral port, reguardless of Nationality. Once the Prize is registered, that Officer is to Rendevous with his Captain at earliest convienence. Have you got all that? If not, ask the fellow next to you, because I'm sure as hell not going to repeat myself. Now, I'll be off to the Quarterdeck. If you'll excuse me - Oh, and Miss Ravenheart, thank you for the delightful meal." Standing, Jack extinguished his pipe on the heel of his boot and tapped the tobacco into his pocket. Grabbing his coat and hat off the hook behind him, he flung the coat about him and tapped the huge hat onto his head and saluted the crew that still sat at the table. "Good Luck, Ladies." Destiny stood up, and waved to the departing crew. She and Aeoess quickly cleared the tables of the remaining dishes, and placed them in the sinks for later cleaning. She threw more fat into the fire, and locked the stove, so there would be no chance of stray sparks escaping. She put the left over food into the cool chest, and then wiped her hands. She retied her braid back into the faded blue bandana that always wore, and dusted the flour from her trousers.
Turning to Aeoess, she said " I guess we had better make our way to our assigned stations. It has been a pleasure to work with you. See you when we get out of this."
