Santos frowned. "You're not fat, you're lean and beautiful," he protested. He made an effort to ease her down insted of letting her fall to the ground as she was in pain. "Right now?!" he wondered why she nudged so hard, he wasn't going anywhere. There was no way he was leaving her alone, he felt so guilty about leaving her alone the first time. He layed down near her head resting his jaw on her head reassuringly. "Don't worry, Love, I'll be here 'til the end."

Adia glanced up at Santos a more than thankful expression on her face. Moments later pain rippled through her lower abdomen and it stayed much longer than the one before. Again it disappated and it went on as such for another hour and a half as the contractions came closer and closer. After that hour and a half of pain Adia's instinct to push kicked in. She bore down immediately only stopping to take a breath. It was only moments after her second push a light pink cub landed in the dry grass behind her. Adia was immediately on the cub and cleaning it off. After she had it clean and at her side ready to nurse she looked at Santos and smiled. "Girl." She told him just before another contraction hit her.

Santos waited paitiently that whole hour and a half. He would nuzzle her reasurringly and tell her it woul only be a little while more and that she would be fine. As the first cub came he grinned happily. Her pink form looked so fragile. He licked the little girls cheek softly and watched her curl up into her mothers fur andbegin to suckle. How prescious she was..
He licked Adia's cheek as well and smiled. "Only a little more, Dear. Hang in there," her rested his head over hers, letting her's rest in the crook of his neck. Oh how much he loved her...

The next cub came much quicker than the little girl. It took little less than two minutes until she had pushed out a white cub. The flowers and vines coursing over his fur standing out well. Adia was quick to snatch him and clean him off. Halfway through her cleaning she stopped as another contraction hit and just as quickly as the white cub, a black cub marked with Adia's spots and stripes in red plopped onto the grass. Quickly she snatched him and cleaned both the white and black cub together before setting them to nurse. Moments later Adia let out a deep sigh only a dull pain left now. Looking up to Santos she smiled, an expression of relief on her face. "Two boys. All three beautiful and healthy." She managed to get out her words before collapsing onto Santos' shoulder giving a light nuzzle to him as she took deep and slow breaths.

Santos chuckled at his mate and nibbled on her ear, watching the two boys lovingly. The little black one was almost opposite of him, but with Adia's markings.. and The white one reminded him greatly of himself except all the black was now red and he had more flowers. The darling cubs.. His darling cubs... Their darling cubs. He smiled as all three nursed and stayed awake to watch the cubs and gaurd four of his loves.

Adia was asleep only after moments of laying her head upon Santos' shoulder. These three cubs had tormented her for so long now that they were out she was in heaven and getting a good nights sleep. It wouldn't be till later that the tormenting of the cubs outside the womb would begin for now they could nurse and sleep all they wanted and she would love every moment.

Naida hadn't missed Karounos's glance at Nomis, and in fact her youngest daughter hadn't been far from her thoughts as well, the only thing she seemed really happy about was the fact that Sienna seemed completely in her element with Aquos and Mikhail. She'd also noticed Nomis's "disappearances", but hadn't said a word about it mainly cause it seemed to keep her daughter happy, though her growing silence and possible lack of social skills she might develop from not interacting with other lions poked at her and made her wonder how good of a mother she truly was, but that worry was wiped away when she saw her and Arsenic talking together for a time.
She was, however worried about how slow her cubs were developing physically, but wondered if that had to deal more with breeding with a normal male...but then again, there were no water males, so that worry worked itself out too. Besides growing slowly, they were obviously healthy and happy (for the most part), what more could she ask for?
Coming back from wandering the pride borders, she wanted to spend some time talking to Adia, not only to relieve the other's boredom some, but to get some advice of her own, if she should try to have more cubs, or wait for her three little ones to grow a bit more. She worried that more cubs might make Yukio, Sienna and Nomis feel unloved and unwanted. She knew they were still small, but they were very smart, and largely able to take care of themselves, and in some ways acted older than they looked. Not only that, but there were so many pride members now to watch over them all, so safety wasn't a concern, but still...something told her to talk to Adia first.
Padding nearly silently into the cave, her head low and deep in thought, she only subconsciously noticed the scent of blood. The further she went in, the more it poked at her thoughts but she still didn't realize what it was till she was looking at the family. She stood there for a full minute before a smile spread and she realized the news....the cubs had been born. Without saying a word, she bowed her head to Santos and indicated she'd come back later. Walking out, she sat by the cave entrance and lay with her head on her paws, watching the clouds and not seeing them as she lost herself in her thoughts again.

Nomis padded back to the pride, fur still dripping from her swim. After emerging from the water, she had spent no time waiting to return to the pride. Something compelled her to return, and she had run the entire way home. "Mom?" She spotted her mother at the entrance, and sat down near her. The water ran from her coat, making a small puddle beneath her. "What's going on?" The scent of blood was faded, but still evident.

Naida smiled to see her youngest daughter approaching and stood up to walk closer and nuzzled her in greeting before responding. "The Rose family has now three new cubs added to the pride...Adia is sleeping, but I'm sure Santos will let you see the cubs if you wish."

Aquos approched as he heard Naida's words about Adia new cubs. He had been out playing with Sienna and Mikhail, of course. "Really?" he asked Naida, as he hadn't been around newborns before, and was quiet curious about them.

Nomis smiled slightly, her show of excitement at her mother's words, "Really?" She debated asking Aquos to come see them with her... but just waited a moment before padding softly into the den, trying to make as little sound as possible. She had never seen newborn cubs, and was excited, to say the least.

Santos knew that others would want to see the cubs eventually, and when Nomis stepped into the cave he smiled and bowed his head to her. As always his ice blue eyes almost glowed in the dark as her watched over every little thing with great care. He was going to be paranoid for the next few moments.
The black kit squirmed, slipping his way out of a pile of him and his siblings. He sort of scooted across the cave floor closer to his mother's front paw, ignoring a concerned grunt from his father. He mewled softly up at his sleeping mother and rested his head on her furry paw.

Adia immediately awoke to one of her new sons mewling and picked him up by the scruff of the neck and placed him up against the front of her chest between her front legs. Once she situated him so she could put her head down next to him she layed her head down next to him and went back to sleep.
Daveigh stood at the edge of her prides lands. Zeeza the ever watchful guardian had informed her of the incoming birth. Lately she had been staying around Anu's pride enjoying her loves company and his family. For today however she was back to check up on her mother and await the birth of her new siblings. She trotted across the prides lands heading for the pride caves. As she trotted Zeeza flew down upon her in a flurry of feathers. She was completely out of breath as she practically crash landed on Daveigh's back. "Zeeza?" The princess asked in alarm. "The cubs princess. They've been born." It took her a few good breaths to get this out as Daveigh's eyes widened and she bolted for the caves. Zeeza tumbled from Daveigh's back in the rush and landed hard on the grass. Daveigh didn't care though as she ran for the prde caves. She came to a complete hault at the entrance sending dust everywhere. When the dust settled she sniiffed hard catching the remants of the scent of blood. She noted Naida and Aquos at the entrance and nodded to them as she entered. Inside she spotted Nomis standing at the entrance to her parents part of the caverns. Slowly she came up beside Nomis, peeked in and entered without waiting for her fathers permission. It was her mother after all and worry had over come her manners.

Nomis entered slowly avter Daveigh, not making a sound, even to Santos. She gave a little bow, and peeked at the cubs. Nothing much to see, except the small bundles of fur in their mother's paws. Nothing like what she had expected... With a small nod to the sleeping family, she turned and bowed to Santos, giving him a congradulatory look (though not saying anyhting, so as not to wake them), and padded back out to her mother.

Naida nudged Aquos towards the entrance as Sienna trotted up behind him. "Why don't you two go have a look-see? Seems the news is spreading fast." She bowed her head to Daveigh with a smile, hiding a small pang from her heart, looking quickly away once more to the cubs. "Just be quiet, they're sleeping."
Sienna, excited as always, merely said "Yes, Mama" before trotting in as Nomis walked out. "Hey, Nomis! Aw, you saw them already?" Without waiting for an answer, she trotted quickly inside, curious to see what the newborns looked like. Coming to the entrance, she peeked around the corner at the adults as she waited for Aquos to catch up, before approaching the king and queen. She cocked her head at the sight of the little fur balls and gave them a curious look, as if she couldn't believe how small they were. She wanted to walk over and nudge one with her nose to see what it'd do, but after glancing at Santos, decided keeping her distance would be a better choice for the moment.
