The axes in the hands of the soldiers quickly became unwieldy, as though they wanted to fly into the sky, as well.

As for Tetsujin, this little trick may not have been expected, but it was readily dealt with. The magnetized blades slammed together several feet away from Tetsujin as they stuck to one another. He led them along through the air like a conductor at an orchestra before throwing them behind his shoulder into the air... likely to fall into the ocean behind this arm of the Village.

"Is there not a swordsman amongst you? Are you all cowards? Begone, and you may yet live. Stay, and be slaughtered by my divine blade, the Fang of Seiryuu: Raiketsu."

Tetsujin descended to the ground, sweeping Raiketsu out before him as he landed behind the chasm. He looked from figure to figure listlessly... "Well? Come at me, then. You initiated the challenge."

A rather thick bolt of lightning shot down from his Thundercloud above, slamming into and through Tetsujin... negating both "winds" just as they struck. "I said swordsmen, not fancy-pants attacks. You sicken me, cowards."

Tetsujin sighed, and with his right hand rubbed at his closed eyes. He lifted his left hand and brought it cross-wise in relevance to the earth blade. An arc of lightning rose and fell, cutting through the attack without harming it... shifting the ley lines. The earth blade would collapse back into dust.

"For centuries, others have tried to defeat us with stone... rock... and earth. Do you think that trick is new? We've evolved, we know how to deal with your petty attempts to impede our will. Everything relies on the power of electricity, whether you know it or not. Now, are you ready to face me in bladed combat, or waste my time with further displays of uselessness?" The back of his nodachi tapped against his shoulder once... twice... thrice... and then exploded. The blade transformed, as though a second nodachi blade sprung from the back of the first.

This made it look more like a conventional Occidental greatsword... revealing a hollow bloodgroove. Tetsujin loaded a string of kunai into the bottom of the hilt and pointed the tip of the distanced blades down at his opponents. He fired the kunai in a circle, each thunking into the ground.

"Step past the ring of kunai, this will be our battleground."

Whatever the figure was made out of... there'd be two halves of it, now.

The blade tapped twice on his shoulder again... "I am not amused." The divine sword would not be denied, its edge sharpened ever-further by the rising will of its blood-possessor.

"I am the Chosen of Seiryuu. Do you not understand what I am saying? How dare you disrespect me so with your parlor tricks. Attack me!"

His sword never seemed to have moved... he never seemed to have shifted positions. But electricity crackled in the air, and dust was kicked up at low-levels on the ground. So he must have done something...

Tetsujin palmed his forehead and sighed deeply. "I said -attack- me, not stand there. You are the most brainless opponents I've ever faced. That is truly saying something."

He continued to await the attack.

And instantly they were struck down into the ground, blasted to shards that melted seconds later, crackling with electricity. Tetsujin blinked and looked towards the other figures. "Nan desu ka...? You two come in here, as well. I don't want anyone thinking I only took you all on one at a time. Come on now, inside the battle ring. We'll have ourselves a sword fight."

He waited for them to comply. "Or else your comrades will have less of a chance to survive..." He kicked the two halves of the dead man in front of him.
