"Obviously. And you can trust me because I'm your friend, I'm a member of the Dicio Coven, and as long as I've been 'evil' I havent killed one innocent. Plus theres the fact that Shadow put me in control of an army larger than Katana's and I havent ordered them to attack you."

"That doesn't mean s**t." he said as he looked at him. "How do I know you weren't planning an attacking." he replied. "As far as i'm concerned I'M the only member of the Dicio Coven." he said not taking his eyes off of Matt's.

Matt almost wanted to smack Dan, but he knew that it would do more bad than good. He had been planning this for so long, and now a fellow coven member could actually be the one that allowed Shadow to live. "Listen, I dont understand why this is so hard to believe. If I wanted to kill you, I could of done so by now. I was even ordered to do so shortly after Shadow astral-projected himself here. I want to kill Shadow, you want to kill Shadow, 'nuff said." He calmed himself down. "Listen, I cant do this without you, but you've got to put your stubbornness aside if we want to have any chance of destroying Shadow." He tried hard to help Dan understand.
"And as far as you being the only coven member," a reassuring smile flashed across his face, and he continued with a soft, low voice, "I am and always will be a member of the Dicio Coven, and so will Jen." He knew of course that she was dead, he had even tried to stop it from happening. What he meant here was once you were a coven member, you stayed a coven member, whether in life or death.

"NO your not." he said as he looked at Matt. "You are not a Dicio coven member. If you were you wouldn't have been turned evil so ******** easily." he replied. "You the god damn stubburn one because you were blinded by Katana." he replied. "You said the amulet is only activated by an ancestor of the light witch. That would be me so give me the amulet and maybe then i'll be able to trust you." he replied.

"Havent you been listening to a word I've said?! I never turned evil! Katana never 'blinded' me. I let her think I was evil so I could get close to Shadow! Dont you understand?" He was now upset. They couldnt waste any more time. Shadow would be able to sense that Dan was still alive, which would make him want to kill Matt for not executing his orders.
"And although its not going to help you trust me, I cant give you this amulet. The power consumed the the last witch who unleashed it, and it was HER power. I already know I can handle the fire spirit, which is the hardest to control, but I also know that this will be even more powerful, and harder to control. Dan, I dont want you risking your life, whether it makes you trust me or not."

Brook decided to go and let them talk. Dan had been right. She wasn't a member of the coven, nor would she ever be. Those were her own words when she started working for Shadow. She handed Dan the spell in the hand that was not bleeding. "Good Luck." She told him, although she knew he wouldn't be paying attention to her, his attention would be on Matt. She didn't know what he was play at, but she wasn't all that interested. He was right, if he'd wanted to kill Dan he could have.

He gave a sigh of relief. "Just grab the amulet, and let your blood seep into it." He stopped himself. "Oh, yeah, and stand back once its been activated. It could get pretty bright."
((I was actually expecting Dan not to give in, so I was planing this big 'if you wont save the world, I will' speech... oh well. This works better I guess. mrgreen ))

"How do I know you won't try something?" he asked as he reluctantly grabbed the amulet. The blood seeping into the amulet and it gradually got brighter. "I take it, you were right." he said.

"I guess you'll just have to trust me." He smiled as the amulet lifted him off the ground.
((I'll write out the ending tomorrow. I'm exhausted, and I dont think I'd be able to write anything very understandable. Night!))

He wasn't phased by the light for some reason. He was just waiting for something to happen.

((Sorry its taken me so long to post. I've been SOOO busy lately, and I've been too exhausted when I got home to do anything.))
Matt rose high above the world. He looked down to see the planet as a big black marble, covered in ash and darkness. He stretched out his hand as the amulet levitated in the air, Dan's blood running in and out of it, purifying each ounce of power that flowed through it. Matt focused, and from his hand a beam of light shot out and struck the earth, healing everything it touched.
Shadow, fueled by rage, flew forth from the earth's surface, and rocketed to Matt, propelled by the sheer force of his shadows. He struck out his own hand to emit a darkness that was too dense, too evil to be contained. But Shadow contained it. He focused it towards Matt and blasted away with all he had.
Writhing in pain, Matt prayed that the others would use the spell they had wrote, so that Shadow could be weakened enough to be killed. Still, he had to fight back. He focused his beam of light at Shadow's darkness, fighting back power to power.
From the surface you could see the battle in the sky. Two beams, one dark and gloomy that carried a sense of fear just by looking at it, and the other a beam of pure light, which inspired hope by its presence. The two where hitting each other with unmeasurable force, and there was no clear way to tell who was winning.
Jon, sensing his brother's pain, and with his eyes transfixed upon the sky, instinctively began chanting the spell he had in his hand. He had only read it a few times, but each word seemed to magically appear into his head just as he was about to say it.

Brook followed along with Jon, chanting the spell not that she actually had planned on actually helping Matt with anything.

Dan started the chant of the spell. He was looking up at Matt and Shadow fighting while we was continuing to chant the spell hoping it would work.

((I'm likin the new rocker look. lol))
Shadow was strained under the pressure. He could feel himself about to explode from the coven's spell, but had no energy left to expend to kill them. He had to focus all he had on Matt. His hatred continued to fuel an axtra boost to fight back, but the spell was taking too much of an effect on him.
Matt was using all he had to fight back. The light energy was now flying forth from his entire body, especially from the amulet and the blood coursing through it.
There was a moment when Matt felt all struggle go away. Pain was nonexistant. Fear rushed through his entire being. It was a good few minutes before he realized that the cause of this lack of feeling was due to the sight in front of him. He looked foreward to see....nothing. Shadow was gone.
He expected to black out due to all the power that had just rushed through him, but lowered to the earth instead. The battle was over, and the amulet was destroyed. "I...I cant belive he's gone. Its over!"
