::the hand holding the blue box in place tightens as she grits her teeth, fighting the impulse to jump down out of the tree and lunge at the jerk that had dared case all this to happen... but she didn't. she'd been told often before that she was reckless, impulsive, troublesome, and fearless, not in a good way, but she had never been called an idiot.... at least not to her face::

Rivers eyes were wide as he stared at where the alien died... more death... he couldn't handle more death! Now instead of aliens he could see the accident that stole his dad from him... forcing him into this situation. He didn't want to save the world! He didn't know how and the one.. creature who could help them was now dead!! They were doomed... and they somehow had to get away from this area without those.. yeerks? knowing they were here.

::presses her hand to her mouth to keep from crying out and swallows hard, her nails diggin harder into the wood. what were they supposed to do? they couldn't run. They'd catch them. And there was also another thing weighing on her mind. The main reason she stayed rooted to the spot, staring at the ship::

All traces of what has happened are gone, save for a scattered group of very frightened kids::
