Relaxing at the Princess' words, she put down her weapons and watched the come. "They're here." Nodding. Seeing some pale faces arrive and walking slowly towards them. May the spirits protect us from evil.. Prayed the little girl. Staying close to Princess Soquili.

Kisoni The unmistakeable sound of gunfire run through Christien's bones like a sharp stab, and his head snapped towards a spot in the forest. "The spanish? " He asked softly... In a way he prayed it was true, his hand going to his chest were a rosery once would have been--and still would have, had his protestant aunt not taken it from him many months before. He gulped a little, and nodded, urging Ansel to continue following the Padre's mount. Ansel complied, respecting Arama's silence; he knew it wasn't personal, nor would it ever be. Work was work, after all. Like his 'master', his ears twitched towards the area the sound had come from. There was something foreboding in the air, and he didn't like it, a fact he expressed with a worried nicker and toss of his mane. "Shhh, Ansel," Christien soothed him, petting along the horse's withers before turning his attention back towards Miguel. "I did hear it... .... is there.. you could talk to them, if they are spani--" Just then he and the father rounded a slight bend in the game trail they'd been following. Christian's voice stopped immediatly as the sight of something through the trees began to plague his vision. "What.." The boy's voice died off, as he made out what seemed to be strange, triangular houses and dark skinned people with a whole herd of oddly coloured horses milling about. "Holy Mary, mother of god," He whispered, stopping short. (( rofl @ his reaction )) Princess Soquili blinked..and she saw a young boy that was dressed so strangely. She was more curious then afraid. "Look... there... " she said to the others..

Soquili Chamain Everything was so confusing. The question was: Attack or not? Everyone looked confused, and the settlers were probably coming towards them, any second they would arrive.Looking around for her mate, she couldn't see him. I hope he is not hurt... Then shaking her head again, she focussed on to the path the settler's smell was coming from. Princess Soquili could see so many were confused.. she was as well. "We shouldn't fight. These pale faces have dangerous fire sticks that could hurt us or even kill us. We must be peaceful. or more could end up like the chief if they are ignorant and do not listen..." *Chandrika stands, hear, and wait to see what she will need to do*

Aris Ravenstar Geoff was more than happy to keep on exploring and not cloud his mind with pointless worries, but that changed with the lone horn blast. That was as clear a sign as any that something was wrong. His head shot up as he quickly put up his journal and he inquired to no one in particular, "W-what was that?"
Lady was becoming nervous as well, but not from the horn. The air was filled with the scents of man and beast alike, but like nothing she had smelled before, and she was unsure what their intentions were towards her or her human. Her nervousness only grew as she picked up on the worry evident on Geoff's face. Still, she was far from any sort of officer's steed; as such, the concept of 'war' completely escaped her, and she was content to silence her butterflies.
But just then the sound of the musket shot pierced the air, destroying whatever calm the pair had maintained. Geoff winced as the loud 'bang!' resonated around him and he tried to steady Lady as she squealed with fright. Something definitely was not right. He furrowed his brows as he heard the Frenchman curse not too far off, and followed his gaze with a look of his own. "What in heaven..?"((Gack! ::trying to keep up:: xD;;; )) Princess Soquili could hear that more of the pale faces were near....

Randee spotted one of the pale-faces looking at her and the rest of them. She remained frozen, stuck in shock and awe.

"Hrrmm?" Astia snorted and looked at the pale face. Close up, he didn't look so dangerous. She walked up to them, and began sniffing the horse that stood with the Pale faced and haired boy. Why was that boy dressed so strangley? She didn't sniff him though..he looked like he could hurt her. Her brown and yelloe tail twitched nervously, and her whit spots seemed to dance.

Is them coming to our camp wise?" she began.Oathkeeper nodded in agreement.

Summer Jessamin swung down from branch to branch, trying to get closer to her people. She was feeling that being with them was better than safety away. Panic had seemed to die down in the village, and turn to the same curiousity that she herself was carrying like clouds heavy with rain.

Awnae watched her friend go. Eyes wide at what she was doing, she too went. Sniffing the horse and the boy. "They smell funny, and they smell like....like what we've been smelling these days."

Mesarthim ran over to the village after hearing loud bangs..she hoped no one was hurt. Then she saw a bunch of pale faced two leggers that had horses with strange blankets on them.. it looked painful. She gave a loud nicker and clicked her hooves on the ground.

Padre Miguel looked around at the strange new sights. Triangular structures...dark-skinned people, some with primitive weapons...and the most unusual horses he had ever seen. "Blessed Virgin, protect us..." He added, clutching at the rosary in his pocket until he realized this could probably be seen as carrying a weapon to those who had obviously never heard the good news before. Quickly he held up both hands in the air, though one hand was slightly lower than the other due to grasping the reins. Normally he'd be praying loudly for the souls of the heathens, but he had Christien to look after for the moment.
Now that they had stopped, Arama was extremely confused. So many strange sights, sounds, and smells. The horses didn't even have tack on them! And they were sniffing Ansel? "Ansel, what is this place?" she asked.
