Mine's a wolf blaugh
I remember once when I was around 10, I opened the front door and my cat ran outside. It was dark out so my parents wouldn't let me go look for her.... The next day I started looking for her and I couldn't find her. I was about to give up when a beautiful, big, gray dog with yellow eyes came up to me. It stared at me for a long time and then started to walk away. I followed it for about 5 minutes, then it finally stopped. There was a long road and in the middle of it, my cat was laying there.... I ran up to her and she was badly injured... I picked her up as gently as I could and started going home, and I noticed the dog wasn't there...
P.S. She died at the vets office that day
crying Rest In Peace Gizmo!!!!
...Wow, that was long whee

I did a guided meditation for my oldest son tonight so he could find his totem animal. He said it was a white tiger. So now I told him that he has to research the qualities of tigers to find out what it means (to him) to have that animal as his totem.

A long time ago my totem was a tiger and then it shifted about 2 years ago into a dog in particular a greyhound. Basically what it tells me as that I once was solitary and now I like to travel in packs, and what I've read is that I love unconditionally, I would be a good teacher and that I'm creative and being a greyhound especially I'm lazy yet eccentric and when I get a good Idea I go for it!

Mine is a panther, but I've a close affiliation for dragons too. I found out by doing a guided meditation too. I loved the beginning of it so much it's what I use to begin all of my meditation and relaxing.

I've had several at different times...
My first, and the one I still associate the most with, is Raven. He's beautiful, charming, clever, and helps me understand the truths behind death.
I had Panther come to me before, as well as Butterfly and Wolf.

I never knew what an animal totem was until know. And I never really thought about which animal I have a connection to the most until now either. I've loved dragons for as long as I can remember, I'm not sure why theres just something appealing about them... mabey it's their strength and knowledge. I have a dragon staue collection, three dragon soft toy and the dragonology book... so yeah... i love dragons whee So could the dragon be my animal totem? They are alowed to be mythical right?

also keep in mind that a power or totem animal(especially your main one) may not even be one that you actually know about or have a specific love for...my reiki teacher's husband did a meditation to find his and it turned out to be an otter(which embarrassed/surprised him-not manly enough I guess XP XD)....and mine was a Kirin, which I hadn't known existed before that point....that doesn't mean that a dragon is not one of them, but don't assume it is your main one(generally the one you are born with) since so many end up not believing what they see when they find them...but the meanings of tat animal may surprise you and fit better than you would have previously thought 3nodding

Close My Eyes && Scream
" I just recently discovered my baby. <33
On the night of the Lunar eclipse, actually! =o
Anyway, I was in pretty deep sleep and the dream I had let me know.
I was in.. Well, it was sorta a Walmart store. And there was a Cougar walking around. Just sorta wandering.
I saw it, but I didn't really acknowledge it's existance for a while. We were at the checkout and I wandered away from Grandma. I stopped dead in my tracks, facing the most beautiful creature I've ever seen, real or imagined.
It slapped me down to the ground, which freaked me out. I was so terrified. And she began sniffing me. I turned over on my stomach and I remember my thought being 'If it can't see my neck it won't bite it.'.
After it was done it walked outside, and I followed.
Somehow our positions got mixed, though. x-x
Store || Cougar || Me Where as, the Cougar and I should've been switched. x-O
Anyway, it was snowy and foresty, but warm. It was so warm. The Cougar layed down and was rolling around all cute, and purring. I know technically Cougars physically can't purr, but she was.
Yeah. And I felt totally at ease after that. I pet her and stuff.
As soon as I touched her I knew she was a female. And I'm very, very connected to her now. "
Do You Even Hear Me

actually(assuming scientists haven't changed their minds since I read this) Cougars are the biggests cats that can purrso you got her pegged there
as for me....I recently had a Reiki treatment from Colleen(a local master/ celebrity in the reiki world) and we descovered two more "animal" guides of mine....one....is a HUGE Spider!...it surprised me because I had never felt a true affinitey for them but I do find myself talking to them when they show up and they do tend to be VERY attracted to me o__O;;;;......I learned later that she is my very powerful protector(apparently threatened to kick the a**(direct quote) of anyone that tried to mess with me ^^;;;; ) and that her name was Kiowa ( the bringer of light in spider mythology)...it was very funny because I never thought I would be so close to something that would generally freak me out....but we were connected instantly and I actually really enjoy her company........also.....my mom's dog Holland is now one of my guides as well...I call her my Spirit companion XD...so yeah...oh...and during this same session....she took into the fairie realm for me to be healed and she said(and I saw it too) that I was swarmed by them and they produced tons of little glowing lights....and she said it was the first time she had ever seen so many attracted to one person before o.o;...noth that I mind...just found it all very interesting 3nodding

I have to say my totem guide would be a Bengal Tiger. Ever since I was little I was drawn to cat's , something about their eyes used to draw me in. As I got older and faced a few hardships, I started seeing glimpses of my totem animal. When I was about seven or eight years old I used to imagine my animal with me when ever I was alone, and it usually made me feel better. Since then Tigers have been one of my most favorite animals. My parents found it great that I was into them and started buying me figurines and shirts. My friend Kyle even drew me a few pictures and gave me a set of Tiger playing cards >.<
As I got older I kept collecting and envisioning my totem animal. For my eight grade graduation | Gosh it was only a year ago| My older sister bought me my first book on Wicca. I read it front to cover and I was surprised that I had already known one of the 'spells' ( it was in that category not quite sure what to call it ) I do not know it word from word because you can not recite it but it said that when you were upset/alone/or needed guidance that you should envision and thank the animal that you choose to protect/guide you. No where in the book did it cover animal totems but I found it quite interesting.
