Hi. I'm Treble.

Hi, I'm choco_snow_123! My name is choco_snow_123, because choco means chocolate and snow means snow. The 123 part means 123 or numbers. I joined the guild, because I was more interested in the mathematics part, not the physics part.

LegoMyth

Hey there, I'm LegoMyth, Lego for short.
I'm going into my freshman year of university as a Physics major, with hopes of highlighting in quantum physics. I've carried a love affair with wave-particle duality since reading "In Search of Schrodinger's Cat" ten years ago, and have taken as many physics classes as I could since.
I attended Sir Roger Penrose's lecture on Thermodynamics and Cosmology in the fall, and since then have also realized a fascination with astrophysics and cosmology, and the eventual future of the universe.

I dream of going into Space one day, even hopefully as one of the first Mars Exploration teams (With Phoenix's success, I suspect I'll be EXACTLY the right age when they pick the teams for the missions), but I figure that I'll be happy as long as I can work with Physics or Astronomy somehow.

Howdies all, I'm Tiki_boy, but tiki works just as well. I'm a senior in high school and I will be taking AP Calc. BC and (hopefully, if my teach allows it) Calc. 3 and differential eqautions. I love math and it's applications, especially fluid mechanics and quantum mechanics, Fluid mechanics caught my eye because I inheriated my Granpa's hydrodynamics book, old copy from the 1930's and is one of the original Sir Horace Lamb written copies. And as far as we can tell, Sir Horcae lamb is one of my great second uncles or something.
I plan to major in applied mathematics, and then get a PhD in applied math, then settle down somewhere as a proffesor and do all the research I want studying about math and physics.
I'm also currently working on a paper for the Siemens scholarship competition. It's sort of number theory-esq and is coming along fairly well.
It's about the calculation of lowest prime numbers of the form (2^n)+1, and as it turns out, numbers of such a form are divisble by either one or a Fermat number...It's an interesting pattern and I do a have a series for it so far, I just need to relate one last variable and I should be done...
Anywho, that's me. mrgreen

Hi my name is Saskia. I'm studying to be a chemical engineer at the University of Edinburgh (it's in Scotland). I'm going to be a sophomore this year because I skipped two grades in high school.

I never really expected myself to become a chemical engineer considering my eighth grade math teacher told me I was too stupid to learn math and I wasn't worth her time. She laughed at me as I walked out of the room silently. I got a math tutor and brought my math grade up from an f to a c within two weeks. After that tutor, I became obsessed with math.

My chemistry teacher was insane and she passed that onto to me with her passion for chemistry. She swore I would find the next element.

Any questions? Feel free to P.M. me. I love talking to people.

I'm Andy. I'm 17 and I study Computer Science... and I also skipped 2 years of high school xP
But actually Math is my life. And Physics is fun.

My username is saphria_eragon. I am a freshman majoring in engineering physics and thinking about getting a minor in chemistry and mathmatics. I love calculus, but I do not like trigonometry. Physics is fun too. I plan to get a Phd in physics and maybe a bachelor's in chemistry.

I are Abstract Nonsense.

I are first semester Math Major.

I go to Purdue.

My favorite branch of math I've messed around with is topology.

I am not food.

I'm Vires Per Ordo.

That's Latin for "Strength Through Order".

But onto the math, I do like physics, but math is much more pure much more enjoyable. Especially probability and game theory. Mmmmm....strategy...tasty...

I plan on a career in computer sciences, and am actually in the Army Reserves as an IT Specialist. Not quite the same, but I'll work my way up. =P

I'm actually drawn because of the "mathematics" portion of the guild title, haha.

But hi. I'm Essie. :bows:

Hi, everyone! Some of you I recognize from the Sci&Tech, some of you not so much, but it's good to see all of you new faces here, especially since whenever I hit "accept" on the requests page I keep getting that stupid permissions error message.
"Permission totally denied!"

Hi! I'm a Sophomore in high school who is currently enrolled in both Geometry and Algebra 2. Although I have a bit more of an interest in Biology, Physics is still cool! I have had a interest in quantum mechanics for a while so I'm hoping with all the math I'm taking I'll be able to understand it better. I thought this guild was cool because it gave me a good chance to learn and talk about things that are probably a bit past my level. wink

Hello eveyone! All of you may call me anything you wish, but Jill is actually the preferred one.
I joined this guild for a few reasons. One is that in college next year I plan on majoring in chemical engineering. I have an extremeley large passion for chemistry physicsa and mathematics. I've read through The Elegant Universe, scribbling many littles side notes and then going through and answeing my previous uestions while adding new ones. I am largely against the concept of the big bangsimply because it says that that is the beginning and nothing about before the big bang. I have many problems with infinite in many senses of the word, don't ask why. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell, I'm a senior this year and am very excited to be here.
