KisaThe Beacon of Light
Kisa smiled still, and extended her hand out to help him stand up off the floor, standing up with him at the same time.
"You're welcome!" The angel-elf said, almost wanting to laugh again because he was having a hard time even muttering a straight up 'thank you'. He sure likes to dodge with his words a lot, doesn't he? Kisa thought, tucking a strand of hair behind her pointed ear.
She went back over to the table, and looked at Altair. "Please, get something to eat! We're going to have our group morning meeting in twenty-five minutes, and every new candidate confesses their sins to the group so we can get a better idea of how to tailor your redemption program." She took the opportunity to get a cinnamon roll and sat down to eat it, with a cup of tea. She glanced at Odstarva, curious about what he thought of the newest recruit. Could he tell if Altair was bad, or not?
Zuni wanted to ******** gag. No. Just... NO.
She hated hearing Josef say 'I love you'. Gross. She wanted to puke. The kitny didn't even look at him, she was still pissed at him for earlier. So she pretended she needed to get up to refill her plate full of fruit, and after she did it she sat back down, but this time next to Wynter. <******** creep. I hate him.

Altair (Wraith) Altair gave a small sigh under his mask. He decided just to get a plate and fill it up for later, since eating required his mask to be removed, and it would hopefully please Kisa. After all, it was rude to refuse food at all, right?
With a glance towards his axe, he stood up and left it for a moment to grab some a plate of some apple slices, two cinnamon rolls, and eggs. After that, he sat back down at his chair and leaned back in it.
"Sounds cool. Thanks." He replied to Kisa. So he had to confess right off the bat? Well, he couldn't really think of another way to be redeemed without confessing, so it made sense. Come to think of it, what sins was he down here for right now?
Not lust for damn sure, gross. Envy? I sorta envy people who had or have good lives... Sloth, well, sometimes I get lazy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Gluttony, well, I've had a few drinks, and I don't really overindulge with other things, so no..? Greed? Well, I don't like sharing things for sure, I don't really care about anyone honestly. Pride, not too bad, but sometimes I get carried away with my ability to kill... Oh, wrath is pretty bad, I've lost my cool on people a lot...
The masked demon was just thinking about why he was down here in hell. spacing out as he stared at the plate of food he had gotten. Wynter Wynter cringed as he patted her shoulder and left. She HATED HATED HATED how he did that. Although she couldn't find the will to tell him off about it, not after being called out on lying to him. She was already in a dangerous position, and she was LUCKY he had just walked away after she refused to apologize.
"You shouldn't be so feisty, ...."
That little comment had been said to her many times, in life and in death, but it never changed the fact how badly it irritated her. She hated when people told her that. HATED IT.
The silver eyed demon just resorted to giving her food the ugliest glare, suddenly not to hungry anymore. She didn't say anything to anyone else, just lost in her own little rage at the moment. She had done enough of shouting for the past two days, and honestly, she was sick of this already. It infuriated her that she now had no choice to do this redemption, dropping out wasn't an option anymore, not unless she valued her existence and didn't want to be doomed to an afterlife of endless suffering.
Wynter seemed to snap out of her inferno of bitter thoughts when Zuni sat down next to her. So she finally had enough of Josef, huh? Not that she had anything against Zuni sitting next to her, she was probably the one person she could really stand in this godforsaken place.

Josef
I am BORED. Bored. Bored BORED BORED BORED BORED.
"Miss Kisa, I have a question. Is there any sports or something that has exercise? I had the most sudden realization that I...."
The Archdemon pauses for a moment.
Haven't bathed in the blood of my enemies or slain the weaker imps of the underworld.
With the lick of his lips, and salivating is in full overdrive with that thought.
"Haven't gotten.... some sparring to let loose some steam. You see Kisa, us demons are... combat heavy. We LIVE an afterlife of just.... ceaseless combat and I was wondering if this facility offered.... Sparring or boxing or even controlled sword play. Maybe Fencing? Jousting? I have this insane urge to just.... get into combat and I would rather not... get on the pointy end of a sword with a ferocious, vengeful, burning with righteous fury Arch Angel glaring me down."
His gaze shoots immediately to Odstarva.
"I need to be physical in some sort of capacity and I think me leaving this facility to shed blood and come back would be frowned upon in any capacity."

KisaThe Beacon of Light
"Oh... umn...."
Kisa wasn't sure how to answer him. She had zero drive for combat, at all, period. So she definitely could not relate to such desires... especially because even friendly combat could encourage violent behavior.... but she couldn't very well just have them start fighting each other...
"W-Well, I did show everyone the gym... and the swimming pool... There's a lot of room in the gym, you might be able to have friendly sparring there... I can look into fencing for you, if you're interested in that.
But there's lots of ways to exercise without... umn... c-combat... You could use the gym to run a kilometer by running laps around the edge... And swimming is a great way to stay physically fit. The gym also has basketball and volleyball nets we can set up."
She would find a way to keep Josef..... occupied. Even if she had to allow fencing. Because that was a far better option than him starting a fight with someone in here. The entire hotel would probably go up in flames. She would really like to avoid that.
Zuni just stayed next to Wynter, glancing at her once. It looks like she ******** hates him almost as much as me. Good to know she wasn't the only one that wanted to get rid of him.
After breakfast, Prism, Kisa, Odstarva, and Thorival, all announced class would be starting, and met the demons in the classroom.
Pretty soon we'll be big enough to have multiple classes going at once! Kisa thought, excited but also nervous. The more demons showed up the more it felt like there was going to be fighting. They seemed to be used to doing it all day long outside of these walls....
"Alright, Mister Wraith, please introduce yourself to everyone, and confess your sins." Kisa smiled warmly at him, hoping this went smoother than Demitrious'. "And Miss Nifty can start right after."

Altair (Wraith) Leaving his plate behind, Altair grabbed his poleaxe, and with one quick motion put it back on his back. His gaze went to Josef again, before looking back ahead as he followed Kisa and the others to the classsroom.
Fencing, huh? That actually sounds kinda... cool. Maybe I could do that, I have to stay on my game for after I get kicked out, because let's face it, murderers probably won't be able to repay that debt and be redeemed. I'm gonna have so many demons on my a** for doing this redemption thing, but hey, I was sick of killing without a motive anyways. It was boring.
The masked demon snapped out of his train of thought as they arrived at the classroom, and he took a seat, once again propping his axe on the wall behind him before he did so. He looked to Kisa for a moment, and then to all the faces in the room before he began his "confession".
"Wraith is me, if that hadn't been made clear yet. I'm pretty sure I've only committed four of the seven sins. My biggest must be Wrath, I lose my temper pretty bad every once and a while. Oh, and I kill for a living, so that says pretty much all you need to know about that. Second biggest is most likely Pride, I take pride in my abilities, to the point where I will prove them if necessary. I don't take kindly to being pushed around verbally or physically. Third worst is Greed, I don't like sharing, and I could care less about what happens to anyone in this room, as long as I'm either benefited or unaffected. Envy is probably the lesser of all of them, I get jealous of people who have it easy. I think that's it.."
The masked demon pondered for just a few minutes before shaking his head. "Nope! That's all!"
I could have tried to bullshit my way through it, but they say justice always knows the truth, right? I wonder if someone would have called me out. Wynter Wynter decided she'd take a cinnamon roll for the trip, since her mind was gnawing at her again for some booze. Whatever kept her mind off it at this point. She plopped down in a chair, sinking back into it with the cinnamon roll in her mouth. Was this going to be another four hour session? She REALLY hoped not, because she wasn't sure if she'd be able to stay awake for it, Kisa was right, the meds made her even more tired than usual.
As she listened to Altair, she raised her eyebrow slightly. This kid couldn't be over seventeen at least, how had he done all that crap? He sounded young, his voice was too high to not be a teenager. What made this kid get tossed into this shithole? Prism Prism followed after, taking a seat and whipping out her notepad for Altair's and Nifty's confession. As she listened to him, her ears flattened. She shouldn't be surprised, Wynter said he was an assassin of sorts... but he sounded young. That... That was kinda sad. She knew a lot of demons were actually born down here, was that his case? Or did he do something bad when he was alive? And why..?
"Thank you for... confessing. Excuse me, this might be rude but... how old are you?"
Prism bit her bottom lip, it was a personal question, but maybe if he was young, they had more of a chance to correct him..? Altair seemed to go still for a minute as he thought about his answer to Prism's question. Why did she want to know? Nah, he wasn't going to answer that one honestly. No way, if people knew he was sixteen, they'd look down on him, or these angels would baby him. He hated how people did that, it was stupid.
"I'm nineteen." He finally replied.

Thorival Reseria
As Thorival follows the demons into the classroom, he keeps his gaze upon Wraith's weapon. Noting how the Demon is keeping it on his person at all times.
I can't believe we never even asked about that.... I wonder why Mr. Odstarva hasn't either...
Making his way to the back of the classroom once everyone is settled in, he walks over to the weapon that is set on the wall and he clears his throat to get Altair's attention.
"I am sorry, but I am not sure this was said before as I expected it to be a given... but weapons from Demons are forbidden in the main public areas... You can keep them locked in your room and you're only allowed to use them in the armory/ practice room with the dummies. We cannot let Demon's infiltrate this hotel with dangerous weapons."
Thorival puts his hand on the weapon.
"I will be taking this to your assigned room and I will give you the key to the magic lock."

Nifty
Once Altair was finished, Nifty jumped up from her seat and stood on top of it, putting her hands on her hips as if she was about to declare her sins very officially.
"My sins are............................................................. I don't know!" She finally said, throwing her arms up into the air. "How do you know when you've sinned? Everyone always tells me I'm a bad bad girl and to go away, but no one ever tells me why soooooo I don't know what sins they are..." The tiefling trailed off into a small whimper, looking away nervously, which looked a bit off since up until this point everyone had only seen a huge grin on her face.
Kisa chimed in, "Oh that's okay, Nifty... Here, let me help you... Let's see...." She tore a piece of paper from her notebook and wrote out a list of the seven deadliest sins, and their definitions, and then pushed it across the table to her. "Here, will this help?"
Nifty sat back down in her chair and looked at the piece of paper, and then her eyes started to water.
Kisa squeaked, caught completely by surprise that the girl was starting to tear up.
"A-Aa! I-I'm sorry, please don't cry! What's wrong?" She asked worriedly, feeling really guilty. She had never made someone cry before! Or... almost cry?
"I-I...." She looked down shamefully, "C-Can't read...."
Kisa tried not to look surprised, and came over to her and knelt down to her level, and gently placed her hand over Nifty's.
"It's okay... I'll just read it for you, okay?" She pointed to the first thing on the list. "Wrath is extreme feelings of anger that when given into, makes a person lash out and often hurt others. Are you violent or angry all of the time?"
Nifty shook her head over and over really fast. Nope!
"Okay... Pride. Do you think you're better than everyone else, all the time?"
Head shake.
"Okay.. Umn..." Was Nifty going to say no to every single one? "Greed... do you take everything for yourself and take things from others? Do you feel entitled to everything you want?"
Head shake shake shake.
"Gluttony... Do you eat, drink, smoke, everything, to the point of hurting yourself or others?"
Shake shake.
This wasn't going very well.... "Okay... What about Sloth? Are you lazy? Do you mope around and complain a lot?"
Nifty thought for a moment, and then shook her head.
"Lust.... Do you have constant feelings of sexual desire, do sexual activities a lot of the time, or let your sex drive control your life, or anyone else's? Do you have sex outside of wedlock?" Kisa bit her lip, feeling bad asking that. She was only 16, so this one was hopefully a huge fat NO.
Nifty started nodding repeatedly. "Yeah! That one! Lust!"
Kisa looked horrified for a moment, and put her hand to her mouth in shock.
"Care to elaborate, Miss Nifty?" Odstarva chimed in. "How do you commit the sin of lust?"
"People ask me to do the lusty things. It makes people really really happy when I make them feel good, I want to make love with them so they will love me!" Then she just started looking down sadly again, "B-But then they tell me to go away afterwards, and leave me all alone... No one marries me... So it's out of wedlock... Nifty is a bad, bad girl..."
Kisa still had a look of complete horror inside of her pretty aqua eyes. That was.... AWFUL. Why was someone so young having sex? And with STRANGERS?! Was that NORMAL down here!? Her eyes watered a teeny bit, realizing people were completely taking advantage of her. She may have been sixteen, but she acted more like a child.... That was.... sick... Just.... sick.
She couldn't take hearing more about it right now or she was going to get upset. So she went to the last sin.
"Envy.... D-Do you constantly look at what others have, and want it? Do you want to take what they have? Do you always think what you have isn't enough and want more?"
Nifty nodded really fast again, not looking sad anymore and now distracted like a child with candy dangling in front of her face.
"YEEEEEEEEEES. I've always wanted a FAMILY! Everyone else gets one and I want one but I don't know where I came from I've been all alone orphaned ever since I can remember and every time I try to make someone love me no one will love me and I just really really REALLY REALLLLYYYY WANT A FAMILY" Nifty was drooling a tiny bit as she talked fast and excitedly about how she wants a family, her pupils resembling the shape of hearts as she rattled on, "so I'm making one cuz I don't really want to just take someone else's but I envy everyone that got to have a family they're so lucky, I'm making a family now though so it's okay and I don't have to envy anymores so maybe I already has redemption since I don't envy no more?"
Kisa blinked, trying to follow what Nifty just said because she was speaking so fast and excitedly. "O-Oh... Umn... Okay.... So.... Lust... and semi-Envy....?" She wrote in her notebook, trying to piece that together. Could she really only have like one sin and a half? That didn't seem Hell worthy....
What were they gunna do with her?
He's lying about his age. Worried we won't take him seriously. Interesting.
Odstarva looked to Thorival as he said he was attempting in confiscating Wraith's weapon. He hadn't spoke up about it before because he was testing something, but he had expected someone to say something.
Now how will he react? I wonder.

Altair (Wraith) Hearing Thorival clear his throat, he turned his head to look at the paladin. His eyes looked to his weapon, and then to him again. What was the big issue? He hadn't even used it. There was no way he was putting it away to where he could't access it immediately. Not a chance. That axe had not left his side from the moment he got it. It was his security, without it, he was totally helpless. NO FREAKING WAY WAS HE DOING THAT IN A ROOM OF DEMONS.
"I understand that, but I-"
The masked demon opened his mouth to politely try to compromise, but as soon as Thorival's hand touched it, his mind blanked out. He... was touching it. He was touching HIS axe. No one touched it besides him, EVER. For a brief moment he went dead silent, his hands trembling from his sudden urge to make sure the paladin NEVER touched it EVER AGAIN.
In a swift movement, he flew out of his chair, both grabbing the handle of his poleaxe and Thorival's wrist that was holding onto it, squeezing with just enough pressure to get his attention. Although you couldn't see the expression on his face, the dark aura around him said enough for how he felt about this confiscation. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.
"I.... Highly oppose... Kindly take your hand off MY weapon. If it is such a large issue... I will do it myself... Although I don't believe I have shown ANY ill-intent for anyone in this room, I would like to point out..." The masked demon's voice was trembling while he attempted to remain level headed about his axe being touched by someone other than himself.
This was almost in a way comparable to a child having his favorite toy taken away, and he was just barely managing to suppress his utter rage at Thorival.

Odstarva
Odstarva instantly stood up as soon as Thorival accosted Alstair and put his hand on his weapon, firmly placing his hand at his belt side in case he needed to draw his own weapon. He had, in fact, not already told Alstair this rule, for a few reasons. The main reason was, he had not gotten a single trace of murderous intent from the boy, he genuinely seemed to want redemption somehow. Second, her sensed a weird.... attachment, to the object, like he needed the weapon to breathe, it kept him level headed. Three, he was also curious how long it would take one of his fellow angels to say something. Kisa and Prism had both horribly failed to bring it up sooner. Thorival had taken a little longer than hoped for, but it was close enough. Kisa honestly shouldn't have even allowed him inside of the door with that huge thing on. But Odstarva only let this play out because he was completely confident this kid didn't mean any harm.
Until Thorival tried to take it, anyway. Now Odstarva had to be serious. He drew his sword, that seemed to come from absolutely nowhere, but he made a motion as if he was pulling it out of a hilt on his belt. With shimmering holy light, a long sword appeared and it was about a centimeter from Alstair's throat. He had no intention of actually striking the demon kid, but he wanted to be uncomfortably and threateningly close, close enough to shave hair from his skin.
"Remove your hand from Sir Thorival immediately. Sir Thorival, let go."
Assuming both of the males did as he commanded, he then lowered his blade but kept it at the ready. Odstarva was sure this wasn't necessary though. He merely wanted a show of force, since Josef the Demonlord of the 7th Hell was the real problem child around here. But this way, everyone was in the same room to see that while his counterparts were a bit more.... reserved, he was in fact not afraid to fight when needed. He could easily put a dog in his place if he disobeyed.
"Now... Normally, Thorival is correct. We normally do not allow weapons on demons for any reason except sparring with supervision." He looked Altair dead in the eye with his steel orbs, not scared at all, but he could sense the demonic aura radiating off of him. He then looked to Thorival. "However... I do not sense any ill intent from this demon. He has some kind of anxiety attachment to his weapon. Part of his redemption will probably include learning to wean himself off being dependent on it for his... sanity. I will allow him to keep it. He locked eyes back on Altair. "But, Wraith, if you draw this weapon and use it for any reason against Angels, or if you use it against demons for any other reason other than self defense, or sparring, you will force my hand and I will have to not just take it away....
but destroy it. Agreed?"
Odstarva didn't mind bending the rules a little, for the right reasons. Wraith, for some reason, didn't strike him as a threat, unless they ******** with that weapon. So why not humor it, just a little? They were trying to redeem these souls, were they not?

Thorival Reseria
With wide eyes, Thorival was about to use holy smite on the demon in his face until he instantly stood still when Odstarva moved at the ready. With attention on Odstarva himself and watching what he would do and awaiting orders.
"Yes milord."
Thorival withdraws his hand from the weapon and backs away, taking his hand away from the hilt of his own sword and with his full attention at both Odstarva and Altair, he stands as if he was a statue, unthinking, waiting for the next order. That was all that mattered, awaiting the next order. Be the machine, be the soldier, be the paladin, be the force waiting for the command.
Wait.
Wait....
Wait....
Josef
With a shine in his eye as he watches the confrontation unfold, he lets out a very small sound.
"Oooooh"
His attention is fully on what the Arch Angel and the others are doing now, the scuffle over the weapon.
Interesting, this is proving to be a learning experience. Leverage against this guy is going to be the weapon. I believe sparring against him will involve disarming him and watching him rampage. There must be some sort of power to the weapon or the weak, cowards way of the attachment. Either way that is a weakness that I will...
The demon licks his lips.
Thoroughly enjoy exploiting. Soon this Hotel will be mine.... and I will become the new adjudicator judging the worthy. Fixing the system, the flawed system will be fixed and I will head that change.
"Bravo."
The demon begins a very slow, deliberate clap.
"That was entertaining. Looks like another sin you have is...Pride. You can't let go of the weapon I feel. Or it could be lust, a lust for power. Greed maybe? Wrath... based on your reaction. Maybe Sloth because you don't do anything without the weapon? Envy is clearly out of the question, same with Gluttony."
With a smile, he leans back in his chair, clearly amused.
"This is going to be an interesting class for sure."

Altair (Wraith) Altair went stiff as he felt Odstarva's sword VERY close to his throat. He was fighting between going batshit on both him an Thorival, or letting go and calming himself. Luckily, the sword on his throat was some sort of "encouragement" to go with the latter option, which was to calm the ******** down.
Slowly, he released his grip on Thorival's wrist, bringing his hand to his side as he stared directly at Odstarva while he spoke. He released a long breath that he had been holding when he lowered his sword. The boy seemed, for the most part, completely alright now. His body was still a bit tensed, but he didn't move at all as he listened to the archangel. Not an inch. Although his thought were simply INFURIATED at all this.
That angel ******** touched it. MY WEAPON. I want him DEAD DEAD DEAD. I cant not have it. I'll be defenseless. Weak. I-I can't be that. Not now, not EVER AGAIN. Don't touch me, don't touch my axe, I'LL KILL ANY OF YOU IF YOU DO. The masked demon's thoughts bounced back and forth from raging anger to panicked helplessness. Especially when Odstarva threatened to destroy his axe if he used it against anyone here. He started to grind his teeth at agreeing to that, but his rational thinking seemed to make it's way back into him. His shoulder relaxed, and he held the axe loosely.
"...Fine..."
Altair's gaze suddenly snapped to Josef in an instant, and even though his angry thoughts had just settled, they were right back again.
You don't know me. SHUT UP. I don't care WHO YOU ARE! Demon lord or not, I don't give a damn... I'll treat you like I do everyone else who pisses me off...
"Glad to be of service to your entertainment." He snapped in a sarcastic tone, before walking over to his chair, this time leaning the axe directly next to his chair. he crossed his arms like some pouting child, slouching in his chair. His thoughts went back to calm, or calmer at least. Wynter Wynter watched all this unravel, her silver eyes bouncing from face to face in the room. Now THIS was her kind of morning, not this cheerful happy bullshit. It was a little funny to her, watching the demon kid freak out like someone took his stuffed bear away. So wrath was his biggest? Maybe pride, he was holding his axe like Thorival shattered it. Come to think of it, why did he need it so much? Reassurance? Defense?
And... Josef was once again being a douche about it. NO surprise there, if anyone was going o start a fight around here, it was him. Prism Prism was hiding in her chair slightly, her notebook covering her face in case things didn't end well...
It also horrified her what sins Nifty had, as she was expecting NONE from her! ESPECIALLY LUST! That was... so sick and so awful... She was sixteen for heaven's sake!
Things seemed to calm down after the masked demon kid had resumed to sit down, so she sat up a little straighter in her seat. She gave a glance to Kisa before looking to everyone around the room. How did this place change from calm to chaos in a span of five seconds??

KisaThe Beacon of Light
Kisa wanted to crawl under the table and hide. How could Odstarva be SO CALM? These demons were scary when they were mad, and Josef taunting was no help either... She really just wanted to hide and not come out until everyone was calm. The entire room felt on edge...
She bit her lip a tiny bit, waiting in silence for a few moments, as she was hesitant to begin this conversation that she had planned ahead of time... it was ironic.. the timing was too perfect...
"Umn... s-so... that brings us to today's group discussion.... The Sin of... Wrath... eh heh...." Kisa made a small awkward, timid laugh at the end of her sentence, a tiny drop of sweat running down her cheek. Her hands were shaking a tiny bit at her sides, trying to keep her courage together.
"E-Everyone think about.... what makes you angry... and we'll go around the room, sharing our thoughts, both demons and angels. I-I'll start...." Kisa took in a deep breath, "It upsets me when I see innocent people being attacked, seeing a child suffer e-especially makes me angry..."
That was the only time she had ever really honestly dealt with anger. She couldn't really relate to that emotion otherwise.
Kisa then looked to Prism smiling sheepishly, "What about you, Prism? What makes you angry?"

Prism Prism's ears perked up at Kiss's question. She thought for a moment about what made her personally angry or upset. She'd never really been an... angry person, neither in her life or in heaven. So it was hard for her to come up with an answer. She just decided to answer with what might make her upset, or what has made her upset in the past.
"Oh, um, when I'm not listened to makes me upset sometimes, or when someone takes advantage of other people..." The neko answered, fidgeting with her tail once again. It was a hard one for her, and she assumed Kisa didn't have much either. Both of them just weren't angry people...
Although she was very curious to see what everyone else answered, since they had some pretty angry people in the room, not to mention the masked demon was just now cooling down from his... outburst. Nifty didn't seem like she got mad very often either...

Josef
Standing up Josef clears his throat and puts his hand on his chest and takes a deep breath.
"An example of Wrath that I consistently show is the fact that weak individuals hold power over others and try to flaunt it. Not weak in terms of physical prowess or mental prowess but weak willed, cowardly insignificant souls that don't know their place attain power not right to them and then they hold it over others. That is what causes me to be wrathful and that is why I almost destroyed the entirety of the 7th Hell. I made EVERYONE there either swear their fealty to me, or just be erased."
With a smile he turns his gaze upon Altair.
"Weakness is attachment to physical objects in the form of an obsession."
His eyes narrow.
"I find that weak. I am feeling wrath well up in me now."
Individuals who pretend they are strong with borrowed powers are NOTHING. You make the power YOU and you use that power as a part of you. Should you lose it YOU SHOULD STILL BE STRONG. Tying yourself to the shackles of mastery and finesse is idiotic and should be apart of a criteria to be purged. I do not understand why weaklings pretend they are with borrowed power.
Josef then turns his eyes to Kisa.
"Is that good enough from me?"
He then looks at the new demon.
"Lose that attachment to that weapon, or you will be in a world of hurt, one way or another. It may be from the angels or it could be another demon. Who knows but it WONT end well."

Altair (Wraith) Altair stared silently at Josef, his irritation with the arch demon only growing by the second. God, he was glad he hadn't met this guy until now, and he almost wished he hadn't met him at all. He was such an a**, and for what? Just to make him feel weak and to scare him? That was pretty ******** annoying.
"I'll take your advice into... consideration. How nice you are for giving me your personal opinion that I didn't even ask for." He drummed his fingers I'm his lap, his gaze not moving from Josef. Yeah, he wasn't going to pick a fight, but he wasn't getting walked on either. The guy might be a demon lord, but technically he didn't answer to anyone besides himself. It was none of the guy's business what his axe was to him.
"You know? I'm feeling truthful today. I feel wrath when my space is violated. I feel wrath when people, who have no business with me, decide to tell me what I am. It's very frustrating, you see. Being told who you're "supposed to be" or what you'll never be. Last I checked, I can decide for myself what I'll be. Whether that be some weakling who gives up his power to be even more weak, or someone who decides "hey, I'm not going to be a b***h for every demon in this godfosaken place". The real weakling or coward is the one who accepts what he is and doesn't bother to be something more. I think that's all I have to say about wrath and mister demon lord's opinion."
I have a GREAT feeling I'm going to want to bash this guy's head into a wall in the near future. I can understand some of what he's saying, but does he seriously expect us lower demons to want to crawl at the more powerful's feet, begging for scraps? HELL NO. It's more pathetic than being someone you're not. We aren't ******** dogs at your disposal, some of us decide that we are satisfied with that life, but most of us ******** despise it and wish to be something more. If you just accept your fate, you're already dead. You have to pick yourself up, brush all the bullshit off, and keep going. You want respect? YOU GOTTA EARN IT. I abandoned that life a long ******** time ago, not gonna drop everything I worked for just to appease some demon lord's ******** hate towards it. Not how things work, buddy.
His hands were trembling again due to his wish to just lose it, but somehow being passive aggressive was more... satisfying. To him at least.
