Looking to the past there were similiar Seizan veterans. Seizan veterans on a paarticular island who didn't seem all that keen on his appointment into the seat of kage and damn near made a mess of the peace talks then with an almost assassination. Yes there, was a tinge of is this boy a 'spy' a remnant from that group of neer' do well or did he speak the truth. The puzzlement which only revealed themselves in a sudden shift of a single eyebrow came and went as a core agent appeared next to the man and whispered something. A sigh followed by, "Well it seems I must deviate my attentions furthermore bloop."
With his cane did its end bleed out black ink. Two circles he would form and with a hand sign did suddenly these two puddles coalesce into clones of the man. "I see Mr.Asuhara is here in your accompaniment, if you've any questions Hajime please defer to my clone bloop but seeing as you've yet to leave perchance you've decided to stay with us bloop? If that is the case it will do its part well in bettering my current mood." The other clone seemed to depart rather quickly in a misty black blur headed for the village gates. A third clone one from earlier he'd dispatched to fetch Kagerou and organize proper procedures returned. It gave a nod of affirmation before vanishing in a cloud of black smoke. Turning his head back to the duo he'd reaffix his eyes back to Soraru. "As for you, well then, if you were once a jounin you are one no longer, as such as far as titles go you will reassume the title of genin. However, that seems a bit cruel no? bloop. I'd like to have a word with you and see to determining perchance if such a title I may consider reinstating based on what I bare witness bloop. Do meet me on the compounds field where drills are held. bloop. It should not be hard to miss what with the size of it. bloop."
The Arashikage would then turn heel ninety degrees and proceed walking towards a large pair of double doors to the left of the reception counter. Before he'd make his exit to what could be presumed the drill field he'd look momentarily to the brother and sister manning the counter and say. "Do cancel any further drills today for the time being." He'd turn his head back towards the door. "I'm certain the agents will appreciate a little free time today bloop." He'd steep out the door as if in an ominous manner. He gave Soraru no clues or context but there were indeed heavy implications of what seemed to be well...it seemed a fight. He had even gone so far as to disassociate momentarily by not even asking the familiar seeming individuals name. Right as he made his exit another fly wound make a path behind him and without so much as turning around the same occurrence that had happened earlier, happened again, the toothy tendril withdrew in peak time and point where the double doors closed giving Soraru a 'smile' slinking back as if it were a snake in the grass.

It didn't come as a large surprise that his return would come with some restrictions, but knowing that he'd been reduced to a genin once more had him biting his tongue. It was fair. He hadn't been of any use to the village in a long time, and there was no telling if his set of skills held up to the new standard for Jounin. Regardless of all the sense it made, he still detested it. It had nothing to do with pride or shame. The only thing that mattered in regards to his rank would be the missions he'd be allowed to take. Genin was no way for him to live anymore. If he had to prove himself once again in order to obtain a higher position, so be it. "Right. So I'm the one being tested then. I'm ready for this." He responded, letting Toso take the lead. Before following, he looked back at the orange-haired man who accompanied him. "I apologize for cutting our conversation short, Asuhara-san, but I can't take the Arashikage's time for granted. Should you ever feel tested or tried, remember your training. May the gods walk with you." For Soraru, all of his answers could be found through the sword, whether through bushido or the seven virtues of Reiken no Michi. While he cared not for the other swordsman, he hoped Hajime didn't stray too far off the path in whatever travels he meant to take.
He didn't waste any more time after that and set himself on following Toso. It was odd. Normally he'd expect the man to ask his name, maybe even inquire about his reasons for returning, but nothing like that happened. Instead, he only picked up an unsettling vibe from the kage. Soraru didn't question that there was an ulterior motive to their appointment on the drill field, but that motive was far beyond him. The fact that he was using his main body instead of his clones gave the impression that he didn't mean to just 'have words' with the samurai, but he expected that much from the beginning.
The toothed tendril made its reappearance, but he wasn't nearly as taken aback as he was the first time he witnessed it. Until it seemed to smile, just as the doors closed. When did I stop walking? Am I really letting him get to me? Perhaps it was the kage's "soured mood," or the other cues he'd picked up on, but Toso wasn't giving off the most inviting air to him. I'm being tested. That's it. Swallowing down the pessimism, he opened the door and continued on at a brisk pace until he'd catch up to Toso. From there, he'd either follow along in silence or engage in whatever conversation the Arashikage wanted to have.
As soon as Soraru would pass the double doors...an odd scene would unravel before him. There...was no field...in fact there was no sky, no grass, no ground. Nothing. A seemingly endless expanse of white that seemed to go one for miles. Endless white like a canvas as far as the eye could see. It was like an anime opening where the protagonist is just standing in the middle of nowhere atop a film of water. The doors closed behind Soraru and as they did so to did they vanish. They were alone. Then as if presenting a chocolate factory to an impressionable youth Toso, whose back was still turned toward Soraru would wave his hand and arm across the expanse in a presentation. "I would like to welcome you to Isekai-junsei bloop." He'd turn around with a spin of the heel in an about-face before click of the cane echoed what seemed throughout the empty expanse several times despite only having been tapped once.
"The core agents cannot reach us here, we are free of prying eyes and outside intervention bloop. No witnesses to what may transpire within this empty expanse." Eyes narrow and now the glint of his glasses obscuring them Soraru may have very well believed this to be a test. A genjutsu perhaps, one that was of no doubt high in its capabilities. There was after all no smells or sounds within these white walls and an uneasiness in his chakra wouldn't be found....However, if Soraru did make an attempt to kai under this belief he would find it utterly unsuccessful. No matter what rank of kai he used or was capable of, this 'place' was no illusion.
Although the next words said would likely continue to make this place all the more uncomfortable. "Suffice to say if someone were to DIE, in this place the body would likely never be found bloop." This was a bait, for if Toso did die so would this place, but if Soraru was believed to be assassin there would be no reason to pass up on the opportunity presented before them. Soraru, of course, knew he was no assassin but of course, the Arashikage didn't know this left still in speculation. "Ah but that's just a trifling thought, we're here simply to test if you've still the capability of bearing a jounin title. bloop." He'd say these words. Words which were meant to alleviate the air of tension that filled this place. Yet...they wouldn't. The mans tone of voice on unshifting facial expressions only served to add on to the pressure.
Black spikes began to rise. A loud almost metallic sound they began to rise in a manner that essentially seemed to be setting a perimeter but at the same time exhuming the air of 'no place to run'. The man hadn't used any visible handsigns or molded any chakra by the seem of things yet at the same time these spiked walls were so far and distant that it couldn't possibly be conveyed as an attack or direct threat. When the spikes ceased rising what could be a coliseum was produced. Then with one seemingly final word he'd place the cane to his side as both it and whatever armament he had on his other hip seemed to vanish. "Produce something of which I'd believe qualifiable for someone of Jounin level. Lets begin bloop." Then something completely out of left field. The kage had been weighing endless heavy tones and settings thus far and all of, all of it led to this moment. The Arashikage would raise his arms up into the air as if getting ready to prepare a spirit bomb but then he'd bring both his arms forward and punch the air all while exclaiming rather loudly. "OOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! Henshin! Takoooooooooo! Seeeeeeeen-TAI!"
A brooch on the mans suit would glint, the Arashikage was enveloped in a rainbow light which then started to vaguely 'shiiiiing' and assume shape and form. Where the kage once stood there was a man in spandex doing the 'come at me' and 'bring it on' hand motion. It was hard to believe that just moments ago the man before him was a dapper and deathly serious-sounding individual. Of course, it didn't all look fun and games, it carried its own set of intimidating when what sounded like the whir of metal sounded and silver-coated limbs released expanding as if stretching and firmly leaving divots in the white ground, Toso himself was shifting his feet like someone practiced in the art of wing chun back and forth. If anything right now...the Arashikage looked like a stereotypical B-list kung-fu sentai movie flunkey.
The T-series: 5Q1-D. One of the several armors Toso had in his arsenal, Inspired by his love of old cartoons, comic books, and sentai shows. A culmination of his technological knowledge melding with his artistic nature would be but one of perhaps many that Soraru might see. However, above all, Soraru had best not underestimate the man before him, he was the Arashikage after all and mayhaps the flood of unexpected actions he took was all part of leading him down the path of confusion. For his sake, he had better rationalize this quick for if he did nothing the Kage would take the first move and as much as it may have looked like one the Arashikage was not joking around. Hyōmen sukyan: {Surface Scan} Rank - [E] Description: Like a radars ping the lenses send out a wave of chakra which then returns as a screen revealing visual of shapes and forms within the lenses, these shapes and forms 'stained' by said chakra. The forms are then marked on a HUD within the lenses and can thus be aptly followed even if on the move. However, it does not provide any other specific details. Lasts roughly a minute per rank and extends up to a half-mile per rank. Can also mark superficial waypoints for oneself so as not to get lost.
▰ Keystone: Otherworld Imitation [ Isekai-Junsei ] | Rank X | Bloodline [ Hojo ] [Isekai-Junsei] is the cultivation of Toso's original technique [Tosō-inku] and using that knowledge combined with the knowledge of extra-dimensional spaces produced by fuuinjutsu allowed for the creation of truly amazing technique. [Isekai-Junsei] is essentially a pocket dimension that can be accessed or escaped into via drawing some form of entryway in the real world i.e a door or a hole. Upon opening or entering said space one of two things will occur. A blank white location that seems to extend for miles on end or essentially a mirrored world of the current thread is produced only in black and white. Drawing another entryway in the mirrored or blank world will create a similar entryway in the real world from which to exit. The exit method isn't particularly discreet unless per say the exit was made on something hiding it or is well hidden to begin with. The world inside of [Isekai-Junsei] can then be entirely manipulated by those inhabiting it. This involves its user and any individuals who may be inside. This manifests itself in the ability to create black and white structures and objects and things from sheer imagination as though the world itself was a blank canvas. Objects made with the intent to do harm require an amount of chakra to do so of an [X]-rank and will only last [1-post] thereof and will be treated as [Spiritual] for interactions. Anything made without this malicious intent otherwise will not impart a cost aside an activation but can be willed away just as easily unless a cost was paid. [Isekai-Junsei] can thusly emulate threads like a Dojo or Academy for appropriate reductions and also offer a place for individuals to compete without the threat of structural damage. [Isekai-Junsei] primarily functions as an excellent utility for tutelage, isolating problem targets, tactical bastion, and a safe haven. But above all else a place where creativity thrives.

The guards usually did not gesture for Kenshin to show identification but he always demanded that they follow protocol and treat him equally by doing so. He thought that by now they would not try to slack around him on the matter but he was always wrong. The police captain was immediately briefed when he entered with various files from his subordinate officers. They would offer him a summary and the new facts of his various open cases as he walked through the precinct. Since he just finished a confrontation with crooked officers from his own department they all seemed to be strangers wearing familiar faces to him. There was an unnerving uncertainty that he felt with each interaction. He only trusted Ada, Kojiro, Selina, and Kaito at this point because they were helping him stand against the corruption itself. As a result, he dismissed each officer he spoke with on the way to his office. He allowed Kojiro in but that would be it for the time being. Once he sat down in his conservatively decorated office he opened some new files. After several minutes of document reviewing he would make sure that Kojiro was filled in on the substantive details of the case. The internal investigation would involve all officers who worked directly with the Sandayu cultists. That would require a level of subtlety and surveillance that was not customary in the police department so he would have to rely on the ANBU wing. Kenshin grabbed more case files from his locked file cabinet, opened them, and place them in front of Kojiro on the other end of the desk. "The corrupt officers' case is linked to this new internal investigation obviously. However, when the first CORE Compound was destroyed many of our most dangerous inmates escaped because of the subtle weakening of the fuuinjutsu inside the prison even though all of the underground cells were intact. Rosewater and I managed to retrieve all of them except for one, but we don't know who it is because I suspect he's been using corrupt officers on the inside to expunge his records in the chaos. All the officers who worked on his case claim to remember is that he was a disturbing man with no fingerprints, no name, no background, no identity in the village whatsoever and yet clearly not foreign. Arrested only an hour before the Compound's destruction on charges of murder, arson, conspiracy, and organized crime, highly dangerous and unpredictable. What Evergreen says confirms that the long string of cases we've been on haven't been caused by Sandayu or even Jashin. No, there's a mortal element and this mystery man might be it." Kenshin would show him the cases of various local happenings in Arashi over the years that seemed coincidental but the more they learned about each case the more it seemed likely that there was more to the story. To say that the Arashikage was impressive was putting it lightly. The moment he laid eyes on the empty expanse, memories flooded of a night fighting alongside two old allies against a gigantic horror straight out of legend. Without words or gestures, the feeling of an overwhelming presence washed over him for the first time since then. His awe outweighed his fear, and he finally got a taste of what it meant to truly be up against a kage. One of his fondest memories was his first battle with Kaileer, but there was no question when it came to the gap in their strength. One was the mentor, the other the student, and he'd yet to find another way to gauge his strength after the departure of his teacher. Life without challenge was bleak, and there was none he considered a worthy replacement to the Raikage. The self-implemented roadblock created a lull in progress that led to him being tied down and married in the first place, but he knew. Somewhere in the hundreds of reasons he'd created to re-enlist, he knew that he'd find another spark somewhere. "The insinuation of your words escapes me, Toso Hojo, but I won't dishonor you by questioning this opportunity." He responded to the strange mentions of death and intervention, nowhere near on the same wave as the kage. All that mattered to him was that the leader of Arashigakure was taking the time out of his day to make sure a rusty Jounin was up to par. It was worthy of respect, not skepticism. He'd see through the test and prove his worth. Words alone wouldn't shake the swordsman.
The black spikes rose from the ground, and Soraru spent the next few moments wondering on whether he should utilize common bukijutsu or put his power completely on display with his Reiken techniques. Snapping him out of his thoughts was an...interesting display, but one that got his blood pumping despite how odd it was. The suit was absolutely ridiculous, and reminded him of his days lazing about in the Raikage's office reading comics or old manga, doing whatever he could to pass the time until Kaileer woke up from one of his frequent naps. If he could pick up anything from the suit, it was that only someone with real passion could wear it so unabashedly. "You're an incredibly honest person, aren't you? I don't have anything so flashy, but allow me to return the favor." With both arms extended and hands opened, an almost ethereal sword would appear in each one. Katana and wakizashi in a daisho stance, both of them having a reverse-blade. His already light blue eyes would glow even brighter, and a visible aura would appear around him in the blank, white expanse. "Soraru Hiraite, weapons specialist. I'm ready to begin." Knowing that he'd already made the kage wait long enough with his little display, Soraru didn't waste time in starting his assault. He shook off his haori and removed the quiver on his back. The moment the last object hit the floor, he was off in a blink.
While no slouch in his speed, he was certain it wasn't anything Toso hadn't seen before. Faster. He thought, knowing that he couldn't settle on anything. If he wanted to prove himself to be jounin material, he couldn't slouch in any department. In. Out. In. Out. The moment his breathing changed, so did his entire demeanor. Moving low, He spread his arms outwards to extend both weapon and lunged forwards. The gap between them was cleared almost immediately after that as Soraru completed his motion. The weapons exploded with lightning chakra and he put all of his body into a series of attacks and somersaults, the swiftness of the technique giving his very form the appearance of his element. In the event of a collision of any sort, the sound of thunder would boom in the empty expanse and the kage would need to think quickly if he wanted to keep his footing.

Rank E | Simple The user releases their worldly attachment to life and accepts death as an old friend. This enlightened state is the first of many which allow the user's body to gain moderate [3] increases in strength, speed, and reflex. During this enlightened state, the user's eyes glow slightly brighter than usual and a faint glow is often annotated around their body that is no wider than a sliver of thread. The first virtue state does not require an activation but does require an initial E-Rank stamina cost plus an E-Rank upkeep per post for two posts. This state has a maximum duration of three posts. Every slash with the spirit sword is followed by an after image but of an ancient samurai energy blade. Up to a B-Rank amount of chakra can be applied to the after image representing the ethereal sword of the warrior spirit for no activation cost once per post.
▰ Coiled Slash Modified: Storm [ Kansen: Arashi ] | Rank X | Complex The user leaps forward to close the distance between them and an opponent, gaining a slight increase to speed per rank of the technique. As they near the foe they preform a violent somersault series with their sword slash following the pattern. The user's figure becomes that of a lightning wheel as they slash into their target, cleaving lesser ranked techniques and continuing by paying the encountered technique's cost for no activation. The user's lightning wheel like form expands five feet in length per rank of the technique.
Passive Combat Benefits: Fluid Movement Rank: E :: Training Description: Techniques used for a blocking, countering or evasive action have their cost reduced by 5 stamina per rank of the technique and must pay no less than 5 stamina. Whirlpool Walking Rank: C :: Training Description: The user is now more adept at using circular footwork and can use it against multiple attackers, usually weaving between them, keeping them bumping into each other or simply getting in each others way, taking away any numerical advantage. In the deflecting stance, the user can deflect a technique of their body rank or lower once every three posts for no activation, still requiring the stamina/chakra cost paid. Move as Water Rank: A :: Training Description: The user has dealt with so many situations being outnumbered that their ability to move in tight and confined spaces is greatly increased. The user’s blade work is tighter, relying on their body and footwork to generate force. The user’s footwork is so fluid that they are able to turn on a dime, making a combination of strikes go into multiple directions without interrupting the combination. Techniques that target multiple opponents may now have additional reserves paid in order to strengthen the effectiveness of the individual attack to the next highest rank.These can be paid individually, not requiring chakra or stamina to be paid for every split technique. • Crashing Thunder : Augments all of the users bukijutsu, even those outside of the Raiu bloodline, with a basic amount of lightning chakra. By applying this chakra collisions result in a pressure wave similar to a thunderclap. For each rank of the technique, the pressure wave throws the opponent back five feet unless the Act of surface Walking is used at equal rank and potency to the user's parent technique. • Ionic Blade The user's bukijutsu and basic combat weapon strikes may be made complex to add their lightning element to the attacks. This causes tiered paralysis on contact equal to the rank of the technique it is paired with. • Clan Members have a genetic affinity to the lightning element. • Clan members gain descriptive increases in the same manner as any standard Taijutsu or Bukijutsu. • Complex techniques performed gain the same bonuses as simple techniques. • Lightning based techniques may be used in the same manner as Mystic Hero allows. If the user is of Mystic Hero discipline, the user's Lightning/Buki Korabo is decreased to once every two posts.
Toso would take notice of the boys sword manifestations. Blades reversed. One who does not slay man would only have made such a choice. "Hoho. This brings me memories of Rurouni Kensho. Bloop." The lenses of the armor would glint as he discerned and made the assumption that what was to come he would not be quick enough to evade, seeing as the boy was charging in. However, misdirection was a key component in combat. He'd produced the illusion he'd be fighting with hands but in that last instant did the man raise his arm before him in a similar rainbow streak to match the boys own streak of lightning and in one clear collision did his strike land true...but not on its intended target. Hidoi kuro, [Baleful Black]. Soraru made the claim of being a weapon specialist but he'd bare first hand just how many the kage himself had in his arsenal. Soraru would quite literally ride this shield in a full summersault. He would move this large shield-like childs play revealing that the Kage despite his appearance was no weakling that indeed under his frame he was YOKED. The impact cause a thunderous sound to resonate as Toso's legs would dig into the ground from the impact. Impressive, but not enough as he'd disperse the force with flood of chakra to his lower limbs.
Soraru would indeed at this point wind up behind the Kage who would rest his shield arm having guided the boys momentum. There was an art of mastery to a practitioner of the shield and that was deviating the strength of a blow. Many taijutsu and bukijutsu users would conserve their energy and rely on their strength and speed alone to carry their blows rather than exhume the additional effort...this was something the shield punished...and this one in particular. "You held back young warrior. That is going to cost you bloop." Toso would say ominously if not also with a bit of cheese quoting a line from Rurouni Kensho with an additional bloop. Despite initial assumptions, Soraru would regret thinking this a simple friendly bout of analysis, he was still under the suspicion of being an assassin and the Arashikage wasn't taking any chances.
A loud gurgling groan would echo throughout the white expanse drowning out the thunderous clap from earlier. This groan would wrack the ears of Soraru as he'd soon feel awashed by something sucking the very life out of him. The squid emblazoned upon the shield eyes glowing red as if he had angered some unseen eldritch god. "Now it is my turn bloop." The Arashikage would turn heel on a dime and in a rather unflashy execution attempt to molly whop the suddenly drained Soraru. The attack seemed simple enough but should it have made contact the boy would have been sent flying as the blow would emit the aura of a conquerors ambition overwhelming to such a degree it would undoubtedly send the unprepared flying a number of feet, although the shields face was used so as to only induce a hearty sum of blunt injury as oppose to the shield pointed end. Something completely unexpected of something designed for defending. If it did land and should Soraru recover from an undoubted wind knocked out of him he'd find his chakra uncooperative leaving him to only the simplest of his attacks and his virtuous aura shaky but holding on. If Toso had succeeded in this and if Soraru happened to be on the ground from it he'd simply walk up and look down at him his face obscured by the suit he wore it gave an unflinching air of superiority. He'd offer a hand to help the lad up in this case. Otherwise the squid man would maintain his guard and Soraru would likely have attained the new knowledge to be wary of the Arashikage's...shield.

It was true. Holding back was certainly his downfall. He knew how rare it was to get the opportunity to battle with a kage and he still grew overconfident in assuming that Toso didn't have a weapon. Still, even if his attack was defended with little effort and he was flung about, he at least had an idea of what level of prowess the Arashikage was looking for. He's stronger than you. He's stronger and you're the only one here to hold him off. Stop trying to strive and just survive. He thought to himself, beating the process into his own head mentally. Just as his own thoughts finished, something muddled in his mind. It felt like he'd just been struck by a level of exhaustion multitudes higher than the effort he'd put in so far.
Don't strive. He noticed the glowing eyes on the shield but couldn't wholly focus on the Arashikage's voice. Honestly, he just assumed it was another flashy quip punctuated by yet another bloop. It didn't matter. He was in danger. It seemed like a million options were flying by in his mind in the instance it was taking for Toso to turn, but in reality it was his own instincts taking over his overly-pensive mind.
Survive.
He moved forwards to meet Toso halfway, the bright aura surrounding him growing exponentially. It had gotten to the point where his eyes were so brightened that it was impossible to see any trace of blue anymore. He put everything into swinging his blade upwards at the right time, deflecting the shield strike to put himself out of harms way. Rather than pivot or run, he drew back on his katana and de-materialized his wakizashi, lunging forwards in an obvious stab. He aimed for the inner part of Toso's shield arm, fully expecting it to be defended against and quickly dispersed the weapon after the collision or lack thereof. The weapon re-materialized in a sheathe almost immediately at his hip after and he wasted no time in grabbing it to continue his assault. The motion of drawing the katana in a single slice and then re-sheathing it was well-practiced by the Arashikage's challenger. The appearance of the chakra wave was almost immediate. While its slashing power was obviously weakened due to the non-lethal blades, it's ability to break through defenses hopefully wouldn't suffer. He'd find a way around that shield, one way or another.
Rank B | Simple The follower of the way of the spirit sword faces their dishonorable flaws and defeats them achieving a status of absolute honor. This grants the warrior access to the fourth virtue state allowing the user's body to supremely [6] increase in strength, speed, and reflex. The user's eyes glow much brighter than usual and a bright aura surrounds the body. The color of the eyes and the aura is identical to that of the Reiken (spirit sword). This fourth virtue state does not cost an activation but does require an initial B-Rank stamina cost plus a B-Rank upkeep per post for two posts. This state has a maximum duration of three posts. Having followed quickly to the CORE Compound behind Kenshin, Kojiro would take sight of rest of the team who would as usual attempt to let Kenshin pass by without pause. A mistake Kojiro thought they had done intentionally for years, if nothing more than to irritate him mildly. The two moved through the masses of other officers as they made it to his rather plain office space. Kenshin would pour over the files, examining each one individually with hopes to find clues. ' Not connected to the Jashinist cult...or Sandayu... escaped....records expo-' A thought occurred. " Sir. If the records have been expunged and our only source of information are those who worked in his capture prior....it stands to reason that each of them needs questioned individually. They would be the most likely have prolonged contact with the suspect and opportunity to form partnerships."He looked up to Kenshin and sighed. " This also means that if one or more of them are involved, the information to his past crimes could be a misdirection to keep us from finding the real facts on the suspect. Personal Attributes • Chidori Specialist | Grants [3] custom techniques to be used as variants of Chidori, these custom jutsu are considered a Chidori Variant. The user may also apply clan Augment techniques to Chidori, Chidori Variant and Raikiri Jutsu. In addition, the user's chidori techniques bypass all armor entirely. Raikiri is considered a Chidori Variant technique. Only techniques with the name [Chidori] or [Raikiri] are effected by this PA. • Hatake Fury | Bloodline and Raiton techniques have their chakra cost reduced by five per rank of the technique and gain an additional 4 Ninjutsu slots for raiton techniques. The overwhelming trait only applies to a single element at D rank, increasing to two at B rank and three at S rank regardless of the number of elements the ninja has. Your ninjutsu are not mirrored per element, but you gain an additional 3 Ninjutsu per rank up. Also allows for one handed seals. {The Overwhelming Trait does not apply to anything above S} • Mystic Hero [ Bukijutsu ] | The user has become adept at blending their ninjutsu and bukijutsu. The user is able to cast ninjutsu from their weapon without the use of hand signs by simply pointing the tip or blade in the direction desired to launch the technique. This requires the same amount of time as the forming of hand signs to cast ninjutsu. They are also able to Korabo 1 ninjutsu and 1 bukijutsu at their body rank and below for a single activation every 3 posts. The user also gains an additional 3 ninjutsu slots each body rank. • Ninjutsu-Bukijutsu | Allows the user to gain +2 ninjutsu per rank. When Kagerou and the other guards finally came back in, the green haired Medical Nin' would be witness to a dirty, messy, puffy eyed girl behind bars. But, per usual, her look of helplessness dispersed as she put on a flat, emotionless expression. Staring right at the lady. She knew she could help her, but she did not know Kagerou. So she would not give her the opportunity to see her real side until she deemed her worthy. "Hello, Kagerou-San." Her tone was flat, head turning to watch Toso leave the room. Maeko Waited for instructions from Kagerou and the guards. Her cell still firmly closed.
Dance of the Larch: Absolute Defense [ A ] This is a supplemental technique. The user first prepares themselves by channeling chakra throughout all of their bones. Then, when the user is struck with a tai or bukijutsu technique, the user is able to have a plate of bones first protect the area which was struck equal rank to the strike provided. Then, the user launches a counter attack, which converts the opponent’s strength stat which they used the technique into the speed of which the bone blades rise out of the user to impale the target. Can only be used up to the rank the user has access to. Cost one activation to block the strike, and another to launch the counter strike. If the user only has one activation left, then the block will occur, but not the counter attack. If the user has no activations left, then this ability does not work. This stance last for 6 post. "I wish to apologize for my lack of respect I showed you last time we spoke in private. I also wish to renege on my resignation papers. I...I have found a reason to stay, even if it doesn't turn out how I see wish. But I still need to leave the village for a time. I don't want to waste it all training, so I wanted to know if you have any missions I could take up with just myself. I could also form a squad if you so wish, Lord 'Kage." All of this came out from the hot headed redhead while bowing. He rose and said, "I need to visit with my old Mentor Belamos and I still have to pursue my Sage Training."

I dunno where my on going techniques went but the Hydra is still attacking the puppets, and his lightning strike armor is still equiped. chakra has been taking out for both's upkeep.
"Ohho?" He sounded pleased, the sound of metal clashing against metal as sparks flew. "Thatta boy." Toso would say rather playfully as his arm was comically flung backwards and a echo of force dispersed, his arm would suffer a fair bit of soreness from this later no doubt. The same thunderous force from earlier. What seemed like a moment of slow motion where in the man would have undoubtedly lost his footing and been exposed occurred...but then a pulsation of grey chakra enveloped the man in an aura as he regained his footing as if the world warped. Like a man made of elastic did he snap back into position. Bringing the shield inward once but something was far different. Soraru would unleash the first half of his offense only for it to be met with resistance once more...the shield would glow. He'd likely think he'd made it more difficult to defend against the subsequent attack, but as he released the second it to would be met with resistance and the clanging of steel on steel. Again the shield would glow. If Soraru panicked at this point to unleash the blinding prowess of his aura that too, would fail, kage unphased and begging the question how. Of course he may have been far too focused with following through. Finally would come his final assault and like that the shield would once again be the unmovable stone in his path. Several strikes, several clangs of metal on metal responding to the sound of slashing. It was only one attack but made the echoes of hundreds if not thousands. Thunder boomed with each strike magnifying the impact and still the kage stood unphased.
With each of those strikes did the shield glow, it glowed in abject defiance. It glowed as if mockingly taunting the swordsman. An immovable object in the way of an unstoppable force. Then when that storm which came in an instant calmed Soraru would see the stalwart Arashikage still standing and soon...did sigil upon sigil start to manifest. Not unlike in that film involving avengers and a purple alien, circular runic sigils stacked one next to the other. This divisive oh s**t moment, if there was one, would occur here. Then to add insult to injury Soraru again would hear the same gurgling sound from before which was tied to a feeling from the first time he'd clashed with this seemingly impenetrable defense yet...he wouldn't feel anything drained from him a nice surprise...and then BWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAOM! A massive projection would erupt forward causing the entire white expanse to tremble. Had the boy been caught up in it he'd have been swept away and be sent hurtling into the black wall of spikes as the force would have continued to pile atop him.
However, once the technique would end after going off the shield would disappear in a rainbow light as the Arashikage would shake his earlier injured wrist. The boys deflection earlier mixed with the recoil from the overwhelming attack definitely made the pain a bit more prominent. Soraru had succeeded in injuring the Arashikage if even just slightly and with the help of his own rashness. Still its not as if the Arashikage hadn't noticed. Soraru continued to use reversed blades even in the moment he was most exposed. Perhaps if he wanted to continue...if he could continue. He'd start taking things a bit easier.
▰ Reality Bending A The user coats their body in chakra, preventing status effects and poisons from having influence over their body. Additional effects of ninjutsu ( concussive, burning, ect. ) are prevented on techniques up to the rank of this ability. Remains active for three posts. 80+ ▰ Archaic Offensive Blast | Rank S+ | Spiritual -320 Description: The user holds their shield before them, guarding from any of their opponent's attacks that may come at them for one post. While they charge this offensive blast, the user may pay the rank of any technique used against them to defend it. During their next post several arcane circles appear just before the user's shield. All chakra that was charged during the prior post is released in one concussive beam that takes the outline of the user's shield and travels for fifty hundred feet as it mulches anything in it's path. Anything within a twenty five foot span of either side of this blast is forced off the ground and sent flying. This technique has the ability to even deflect a bijuudama when clashing directly with it.

Kagerou eyed the girl, an unreadable smile gently gracing her face. Her red eyes traced across the puffy outline of the other's eyes. The evidence of crying was all too clear and, obviously, that she was being charged of some crime. However, not once had she ever felt any ill intent from this girl, not here or before. Overeagerness leading to a misunderstanding, an explosion of emotion gone awry. Now, that was something Kagerou was more liable to believe.
"Hello Maeko-san," the woman gently echoed the greeting. Green hair and red eyes, these were the signature physical traits of the surgeon general. However, she certainly appeared quite young for someone who had responsibility for an entire hospital. She looked perhaps 18 at most despite the mature elegance she held herself with? Turning to one of the guards, Kagerou politely requested, "Please, unlock the cell."
"I got this," one of the guards motioned the other to step as he fished the keys off of his belt and unlocked the cell door.
Kagerou walked into the cell herself after noticing that Maeko wouldn't be moving a muscle without orders. She'd smile gently at the girl as she took her hand. Her orders were strictly to diagnose. However, as a medic, she was here to help this child. Clearly, Maeko being the open book she was, Kagerou could tell she was reflecting, and reflecting hard. The poor child was probably scared.
Holding her hand as gently as the smile she just gave, the green-haired doctor led Maeko out of the cell, a light, refreshing scent of pine needles wafting off of her as she stepped forwards, and each motion accompanied by the ringing of bells. Once the metal cage had been left behind, Kagerou paused only long enough for the guards to close and lock the cell then get ready to follow after her. She would rather they stay behind to give Maeko a chance to de-frazzle her nerves, but orders from the Arashikage were not orders Kagerou could contest.
Therefore, as soon as the guards were ready, Kagerou took Maeko to the prison's medical examination rooms without further ado or any words. It was only after they entered the (relative) privacy of the room and left the guards at the door that Kagerou said her second sentence to Maeko, "It's okay to relax. I won't hurt you unless you mean to hurt me." With a swish of green, the kunoichi turned to look over her shoulder at the white-haired girl that had been following her before the rest of her body followed and the two were facing each other. Their hands were still held together, Kagerou's index finger inconspicuously on the pulse point of Maeko's wrist.
The sigils managed to be dazzling even in the all white expanse. Without realizing it, his hands began shaking around the hilt of his weapon. What would have been a moment of weakness turned into redemption when a voice boomed in his heart, telling him to steel himself. He could try his hardest to dodge it and keep going. Surely he could have launched himself into the air via his blade using Form Manipulation or tumbled out by the skin of his teeth, but there was nothing special about any of that. It'd be just another maneuver, and in the final moments leading to the climax of Toso's counterattack would Soraru decide that sending a message was more important to him than beating on the same wall repeatedly. His sword dispersed, but he remained defiant even in his unarmed state. As if he could send out a power that could even pale scarcely against the onslaught of chakra being sent his way, the swordsman extended his arms outwards to challenge the attack, hands open.
There was no pain from the technique itself. The chakra was dispersed along with his gloves, but it took all of his strength to keep himself standing as he was shoved back from the force of the counter. By the end of it, his hands had minor burns despite the gloves doing their job, and Soraru felt a sharp pain at his back. The black spikes of Toso's makeshift coliseum had made a mess out of the back of his kimono, but it was nothing his haori wouldn't cover up until he could get a change of clothes. The blood, on the other hand, would be a bit of a problem. The spikes hadn't gotten so deep that it would impede his fighting, but there were certainly a few scratches. He knew that had Toso been launching more of an offensive, he'd likely be one with the spiked wall before long. "Tch." He exclaimed, stepping forwards and relinquishing his back from its new spiky friends.
"I didn't expect much when I came here today, Arashikage-dono." He raised a hand up in a universal sign for "stop," showing that he wanted to have a moment to talk. There was already no chance for him to beat the Arashikage, surely there wouldn't be harm in a pause. "It's been a long time since I met anyone as strong as you. What I acknowledge more than that power is the gap between us. I could ignore it, but I'm going to accept it instead." For a beast of pride such as him, it was easy to go on through life ignoring the strengths of others. It'd be nothing but a dishonor to do that to the kage who took the time to test him. Especially after experiencing such a powerful display first hand. His body felt an ever worse drain on it than earlier, which meant that the technique must have been much stronger by comparison. "I trust in your ability, so you won't get any complaints from wherever you decide to place me. I'll fight for Arashigakure."
Those final words would carry a weight to them, much more than the standard promise. It was impossible to break. Normally he'd wait before giving his loyalty, but there was something about the scene in front of him. Toso was so far away in all meainings of the word, and it was the first time in years that he felt like there was real progression in the road ahead. Rather than call his spirit blade back to his hand, Soraru drew his katana from its sheathe. It was a normal thing with no custom modifications, but it had been with him through a lot. When it boiled down to it, it was infinitely more familiar than the blade granted to him through his Reiken training. The blade came alive in his hands with the wind stemming from his chakra. Fuuton. Before a son of the Raiu and before a practitioner of Reiken no Michi, he was a product of the Iron Country.
"I'll be relying on Tetsu no Ryu for the remainder of this test. These blades are lethal, so please steel yourself. You can come at me, or I'll come to you." Tetsu no Ryu was a style much weaker that lacked both stances and the power of spiritual blades. Using it with anything but his own weapons felt like a betrayal to his history. The wakizashi he drew crackled with fuuton chakra just as the first blade did, and he wasted no time in entering the Primary Stance of Kazekiri to make of for Tetsu's lack of one.

The user's eyes glow much brighter than usual and a bright aura surrounds the body. The color of the eyes and the aura is identical to that of the Reiken (spirit sword). This fourth virtue state does not cost an activation but does require an initial B-Rank stamina cost plus a B-Rank upkeep per post for two posts. This state has a maximum duration of three posts. In this state, the Reiken glows so brightly that an A-Rank amount of chakra introduced to the Reiken once and only once to apply third level blindness
