Gretel stared at the hunter again, she didn't think they are superheros at all. Everything comes a price, and they were changed in order to obtain the power to wield a special weapon. Her mind continued to drill deeper, stuck at what Deus might have done to their bodies. It was fortunate that her partner had spoken something that pulled her out. "Aquaman," she repeated after him without any emotion. "I'm not familiar with that, can you explain more and also tell me the reasons?" She nudged her frame gently, noticing her weapon had made a noise and perceived a picture of blue. Then she pondered if she shall give her answer as well for politeness. Luna was very much interested in the stories relating to the pods and was about to inquire more when she was suddenly whisked away into a new group. Speed dating was indeed about the speed part it seemed. Still it irritated her for a moment till the topic was revealed. She shot Lucky and Vasily both a look before quickly shaking her head at Vasily, "Wrong. Jean Grey, psychic extraordinaire please. The most over powered skill set in any comic. Flying? Levitate yourself. Fighting? Throw your enemies around like rag dolls with your mind. Espionage? Read the minds of people around you. I bet you don't even need to be invisible you just scramble someones brain a bit and they won't even realize you where actually there. It's almost too good of a power set." She turned back to Lucky, "And what about you?" She looked him up and down for a moment, "You look old enough to have read the original xmen in print maybe."

“Yeah, yeah. That’s the one!” He snapped his fingers, grinning broadly at the man. Zane wasn’t much of a reader himself and hadn’t really read the series so much as skimmed it. And watched the movies, though they clearly hadn’t struck that much of a cord with him if he couldn’t even remember the name of the series. “But it’d be neat to do it with a blink.” He thought about if he had it in him to dye his hair regularly like that. “I’d have to dye the beard too. Did he dye his brows too or nah?”

"Ah." Apparently, she hadn't been listening, she was so nervous. But! She could turn this around!
"So if green's your favorite color... that would be the main color of your outfit? Mine would be purple, and, ah--" Her cheeks colored. "... probably to be invisible, honestly. Either that, or... the ability to teleport anywhere I'd want, at any time."
Radley looked wistful when she said it.

Oh Kade definitely remembered this guy. Another distinctly unfriendly look was sent Nash's way as the neon green brat smoothed along the introductions and paired everyone up so neatly. He was going to seriously get even later! Happily reclined (for it was Oliver who had gotten moved around the room) the brunet raked a glance over his new dating partner. "I admit I wouldn't mind a Midas Touch. Only reason I'm on this ******** island is because I got in too deep on gambling debts and I guess I fit their recruitment criteria. Slavery, basically, but hey at least I'm not dead." He looked thoughtful for a second. "So maybe immortality, not gold-finger. What about you?"

Melvin had seen Kade around considering the group that was washed up on the 1 year island had not been massive. He just never really spoke directly to him.
"Living forever? That's interesting. Probably good you didn't pick a golden touch since Deus would just have you touching everything to get more funds here. Make them their cash cow." He pointed out.
Considering, he leaned a bit as he adjusted his seating on a large, pink cushion. "I suppose I'd want to have the ability to manipulate time. Pause. Rewind. Fast Forward. You could still be surprised by how life plays out, but you could always benefit from a do-over."
"So do you still find yourself gambling to this day?"

"Flying would be ******** sweet, but it would take all the fun out of climbing and s**t," Nick said, her eyes narrowing for a brief second when she realized this new dude had something tasty. And she didn't. ******** that. "Floating s**t would be neat too, but you can't rule out something like ******** super strength! Hell yeah!" Nick grinned roguishly. "Or breathing underwater, that could be a ton of fun too. Can you imagine the s**t you could do, all that space down there and you can just go ******** explore it all without any worries?"

"More than you got? Or did you not get that benefit?" Micah asked, interested. "I mean, it's not that big a boost but I can lift more than I used to be able to." He paused, clarified, "Super strength I mean. Not invisibility. That's impossible. Maybe."

Oliver heard his name from somewhere across the room, and scrambled over. How were they supposed to do these trust building meetings when there was practically no time to talk to the other hunters? "Ah, here!" He replied quickly, stumbling awkwardly over pillows to meet Seren near the middle of the room. "Oliver Keeley," he introduced rather needlessly. His smile was kind, but quite flustered. "Um... super powers..." Aria Starstone Hello, please take care of this shy kiddo!

Seren smiled and said "Seren Yong... It's a pleasure to meet you." She nodded to another pile of pillows, and moved to settle on it, peering at the young man. "Yes... Super powers. It's an interesting idea." She tilted her head, her braids flopping to one side as she thought. "There are many options, but if I had the ability to choose one... I think I'd go with intangibility." She considered it a little more, then smiled brighter. "Yes. No one can touch you to hurt you if you can choose to go intangible, and you can do so much interesting stuff." She refocused her blue eyes on Oliver. "What about you?"

She grabbed a pillow now that she was all settled and listened intently to what he had to say, her expression going from a little frown to confusion and then finally to more of an amused little smile when he managed to find an answer to the topic by the end of his spiel. With a giggle she leaned forward, smile just a bit wider.
"I've never thought that long and hard about it, to be honest, but I can see where you're coming from. For me, though, I'd want something like super speed like The Flash? But for the same reason. I'd be able to clean my house, your house, everyone's house that much faster and probably more effectively. And this would be every day."
The girl let out a giddy little squee before a thought hit her and she suddenly paused, her head tilting as she put her focus on him again.
"So if you could control super heroes would that mean you're okay with the villains running around doing all their villain-y things? Like...I dunno...killing everyone or taking over the world?"

Well. It was nice her new partner actually showed up, although this time she was partnered with a girl. Who seemed pretty nervous. Maybe she didn't have high stats in talking to others either. "Hi" Kammy reached for her hand, also forgetting the no touching rule, then pulled back when Lin did as well. "Jenna, but call me Kammy. Ooo superheroes? I don't follow marvel or DC that much but they're pretty cool. Have to say Iron man is the best. Or Thor. Or maybe Wolverine." She hummed out loud, glad to have a topic that was close enough to something she could relate to. "It's hard to choose."

"You've never heard of Aquaman?" Inoke raised a brow, not sure how that could be possible. "He's king of Atlantis? The one most people make fun of because he's not Superman?" He didn't really want to explain superheros to someone who had no interest in it. Inoke wasn't really sure she was even really listening to what he was saying. Delving into the who's and why's of superheros wasn't something you did with someone who didn't care.

Time moved a little too fast for her but this was called 'speed-dating' after all.
As she was shuffled along, she raised a brow at the older man that she had been paired up with. This was definitely gonna be an interesting one. There wasn't a chance in hell that she was going to be able to keep herself from smiling. Sonja rested her chin on her hand, elbow resting on her knee with a glint in her eyes.
"Well, ain't you a sight?"

For one of the few times in his life Kade could actually be considered naive. He had no idea how unhinged and borderline sadistic the higher-ups of Deus Ex could be so he didn't really think he'd end up as a cash cow. Worst case scenario? He'd barter his ability for comforts and privileges that he didn't have otherwise. It wasn't like he wanted to leave the island (yet). He just wanted more than he currently had. Melvin's question got a short answer. "Yeah but not with money; I haven't got any. Do-over seems like a really specific type of thing to want. Would you want the do-over for you or for someone else? What are the limits on the time powers? I am definitely intrigued." And had dropped his voice a bit to flirt in his own way.
