The messengers wasted no time in getting their tasks completed.
The docotrs more or less ran into Yami on their way over, and not wasiting any time they just scooped her up and took off at a pace that was faster then a horse at a dead run.
Tolly regained consciousness and looked at Mimi with a wink from his right eye he smiled. "See even kings can be defeated by nothing more then the common cold. However while we wait, Tell me a little bit about yourself Mimi. how did you come to hang out with Yami.

The fight was going poorly. Vrinn was obviously outmatched, he and Nera together was what it took to keep the hunter on his toes, and even that didn't help much. Kail wasn't doing much either. The hunter kept counterspelling what he cast, and his options were limited due to the crowd the fight had attracted. Vrinn took another strike with the hunter's sword, this time to his left shoulder.
Damn, this can't go on for any longer. Where's help when you need it? he thought to himself.
"You done yet?"
"Not yet."
"Good, this is too fun to end now."
Nera charged in from behind while Vrinn attacked from the front, he held his sword as if he were going to strike from above, but swung to the side at the last second, while Nera thrusted striaght, making sure to keep as much distance as possible. The hunter swung his sword around, knocking Nera's sword to the side, and guiding hers to hit Vrinn's, making it only graze him.
"Nice try.""Nice block."

Mimi stared at him for a moment and tilted her head "Toki said kings were very very strong...so how...how can they be defeated by such a small thing." she paused and smiled cutely "There isn't much to tell. My parents were killed because of the fact they joined together and had a half-demon child, me. I used to be a servant girl for a human man up until the day he died...and that's when Toki found me; or so he has told me. He's taken care of me since. We came here because Toki wanted to meet you and Yami....and he managed to talk her into helping us out. She's really nice."

Maikon charged in while Tairon jogged in, readying spells to huck at this new opponent. Maikon put on a burst of speed, slashing with her katana. It was parried by the man, as she had hoped, as this was about the time that Tairon's first spell went off. Random stones started attacking the man, magically propelled. The two hoped it was a good distraction.
Tairon knew that a pure magic attack would be useless, this man would absorb the used mana, but the weaker, outside source-dependant spells should work. After pelting the mysterious man with rocks for a while, Tairon transformed into his demonic form, rushing in and rapidly swiping.
Again, a ploy. Maikon thrust, using flames to extend and enhance the attack. This one hit home, but barely, the man absorbed the used mana, then mostly dodged the attack, barely getting grazed by the powerful thrust. "Dammit!" She said, frustrated that the man was this good, and that she forgot what her brother told her, she shouldn't use her flames to attack or defend. "Hey, Vrinn! Can this guy get overloaded with magic? And take any opportunity you can! We're giving you openings here!" She smiled at him with the last part, showing that she meant it in a lighthearted way.

"Intresting considering much of your begining matches that of Yami, you both have something in common, and she would help the devil across the road if he said please and thank you afterwards with a innocent smile. However, I fell in love with a half demon as well, and any being who wishes her harm from her bloodlines will answer to me first."

Mimi stared at him and tilted her head slightly "People wish her harm? How strange...she seems to kind for anyone to have the heart to be even a little bit mean to her. But she and I are very diffrent. I can tell. She doesn't hurt people by accident I bet with her powers. People will randomly be frozen by mine if I use them to much.."

Oh occasionally she'll get upset and something singes a bit, nothing like you describe happening with yours, but everyone has a moment when they just are so emotional their powers get out of hand. luckly for you I can teach you something of control to prevent them from randomly freezing objects. However that is best left for when i better, right now I'm very ill.

Tolly smiled: "I'm afraid they too shall be disappointed in me, but they have been the trouble all along with this disease. You see, i let it overtake me for the sole reason that my own personal evaluations and experimention do not corolate with what they put in the archives. I'm glad someone innocent as yourself can see a new step in our evolution. However I forestalled it to assure you, and to ask you not to cry. I want you to tell them when they come that I wish for vermillion to stay were he is until I return. When I pass, the drawer above my head will unseal, in it is letter to yami explaining everything. Make sure she alone sees it, i'm counting on you Mimi, and I'm sorry for what's next."
Tolly smiled as the light in his eyes dimmed, he reached up and caressed the cheek of Mimi, and he leaned back and closed his eyes slowly his hand fell tot he floor.

The door burst open as the doctors set yami down near the door. They moved tolly from behind the desk and set him flat on the floor forcing him back to his true form. They worked their magic to no avail, and after a full hour they finally quit. They looked at yami with a sad look. "I'm sorry my lady, but the king has died."

Mimi was far to young to fully understand what was going on, in fact death wasn't completely within her grasp of understanding, she just understood taht it meant the person it was describing wasn't going to be coming back. Part of her felt like crying, for reasons she couldn't understnad, and then part of her understood she had something she was suppose to be doing.
Yami was not taking the news well, somewhere between a full blown metldown, and locking her emotions up permanently. She stared at the doctors almost coldly, none of them would probably understand the wrath that could surge from a half demon when angry. Mimi however tugged her sleeve gentally and whispeared something in her ear, something that for the moment calmed her down.
Mimi now, feeling her job had been completed spoke softly "He can come back now can't he?" yami froze and stared at Mimi shaking her head softly. Mimi dind't understnad, but an overwhemling sadness overcame her and she ran out of the room, her ice powers nearing the point where they'd be out of control.
(Alright that last part was for you nave....now that I am crying....please tell me that letter isn't gonna make me cry)

Kura walked down a hall, lost, when some big dragons ran down the hall. He got out of the way, then stayed there, while he wondered what the fuss was about. About an hour later, he seaw a girl not much younger than he was run out of there, crying. Kura noticed that she seemed to be slowly covering with ice, so he rushed up to her, the ice going away. "Hey, you ok? You can calm down now, you'll be ok." He said comfortingly. He stroked her hair like his mom used to do with him when he was upset. He stepped away enough to get a good look at her. She was kinda cute, but he pushed those thoughts away into the back of his head. He held out his hand and said, "My name's Kura, what's yours?"

Yami sighed and looked at the doctors, walking to Tolly's desk "Won't you please leave a widow to say her final farewells to her husband?" she asked of them quietly, slipping demonic malice into her tone to scare them off.

Mimi stared at him for a few moments quietly before taking his hand and shook it polietly, as Toki had taught her to do. "My name is Mimi, it's very nice to meet you Kura. I'm sorry.....please forgive me....I did not mean to interupt if you were doing something important. I'll be alright."

Kura smiled while he shook his head, "Hahaha, nah, I'm here to see some of the great heroes who fought against Laos. Nothing more important than getting lost, I'm afraid. You look like you need someone to talk to, and I need someone to talk to...other than myself, so, do you wanna talk?"
