"MAAAAAAAAAARCOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Sol began calling at the top of his lungs, hoping both for a response, and that his voice would carry beyond the sound of the steam vents shooting off.

Starter Pokemon: Golett Name & Level: Umbra, Lv 4 [Temperament] Brave Bio: Shaped from clay and given life centuries ago, this Golett was created with a singular purpose: to serve the people of his homeland. In times of peace that meant simple feats of strength, hauling limber and iron. In times of war...acts far more grim in nature. His last images of a world long lost to the sands of time, were of his comrades and redness of flame. Then....darkness.
When he rose again it was to the shattered ruins of what once was, and the broken forms of other Golett. He wandered the remains of the castle for a time, but departed before long. There was no point in protecting a land which had been forgotten by the ages, and so he went in search of a new "purpose". It was this same search that would lead him to the tunnels beneath Roshan City. A veritable maze, the tunnels see frequent use by smugglers and those of less than legal enterprises. It was here that he encountered Sol, and where he found purpose once more. Dubbed "Umbra" by the boy, he once more found himself with a home and people to serve; but in his ticking "heart" he knew it was only a matter of time before he once more graced the battlefield.
It was a hard situation, they had finally managed to make Deino take a good chunk of damage. Now they could attack again..or something else. Trafalgar grabbed a Pokeball inside his paper bag, and tossed it at the Deino. He wanted to catch it in this moment if he could be so lucky. Basically, now or never, right?
[For future reference (in case this doesn't work out right now) what's Deino's catch rate at the moment?]

The Carbink stared down at the Cutiefly, unperturbed. Chittering little creatures were merely a part of life, whether they crawled or whether they flew. If this one wished to encroach on its territory, it would oblige. Besides, this one was a minion of the human, totally uninteresting. Humans were the alien figures here; if the Cutiefly wished to renounce his master, the Carbink would have let him by. Such calm the Carbink felt, it merely began to rotate mid-air. This wasn't a particularly speedy rotation; no, it was simple a minor attack to keep Deneb's outsides on the outside... instead of on Carbink's insides.
Flames would lick the Cryogonal's body, causing small bits to melt and slide away. Clearly it was time for it to get a little more serious about all this. Reaching into the snow with one of it's chains, it would take out a large Ice Shard and throw it at the Litleo.
Onyxia watched the move land. Part of her was excited, another was scared. "Okay Ordo, get back from the Cryogonal." She watched her friend move away as far as he could. She had a ball ready to catch the Cryogonal. "Let me catch you! You might not survive! PLEASE!" She was concerned for Ordo but also the Cryogonal. She didn't want such a powerful and beautiful creature to be hurt. "Please, if you go in you will survive to fight another day, to kill again."
The ball would sail through the air, hitting the Deino squarely in the stomach. As the ball opened, the dragon would only have time to snap at it before being pulled inside. Once the dragon was locked within it would shake violently from side to side as it struggled to escape, the red lit button blinking on and off until finally...the light would turn white, the ball emitting a soft 'tone'. Trafalgar had done it. He'd caught his first Pokemon!
One had to wonder if Onyxia's tombstone would read 'Here lays Onyxia, died trying to convince a Pokemon to join her while it was actively killing her'. It certainly had a nice ring too it. So persistent was the child's attempts she'd utter failed in providing her Litleo the aid it required. Not only would it lose hold of it's Fire Spin, but the Ice Shard would slice into it's shoulder. It wasn't a large wound, but this early into the journey they couldn't really afford this kind of damage.

Nim just stared down at her pant leg pathetically, giving it a bit of a shake. She couldn't even complain; at least the creature hadn't ripped her leg off like she'd been expecting. Pokemon were too dangerous to trust! Ignoring the squeaking Eins (who was trying to brush the non-living mu(c)k off her trainer), Nim would continue hopping down the mountain.
[10/10]
Starter Pokemon: Mimikyu [F] Name & Level: Eins, Level 3 [Temperament] Lonely Bio: Eins spent most of her pre-capture time haunting a candy store and sneaking free lollipops into the pockets of screaming children. She'd have been content to stay that way but for the will of the cult. Indeed, she was actually caught by Nim's sponsor, and given to the girl in an attempt to give her a step up when it came to fighting. The sponsor also has a slightly better sense of humor than Nim-- giving a Mimikyu a Mimikyu! No one could count on Nim's dislike of Pokémon being quite as... intense as it was, for the girl can barely stand to look at her starter. Nim couldn't even name the creature properly, just giving it a number for a name. For her part, Eins isn't too fussed; humans are strange, and she'll melt her trainer's heart one way or another... possibly by giving it a heart attack, but still. Stats: HP:17/17/PP:18/ATK:12/DEF:9/SPD:11/SP-ATK:8/SP-DEF:12 - Icicle Cra - X-Scissor - Copycat - Curse EXP: 72/100 Pokemon held items: N/A

/PolooooooooooOOOOOH~/
The bright voice boomed over the steam fields, interrupting Sol's peace and quiet. A red-and-cream blur arched over the young trainer's head, having leapt from somewhere high above for her entrance. She'd land perfectly on her toes, spinning in a circle on one leg to face him. /Back off, degenerate!/ she crowed, waving her arms threatening. /The steam in these fields are to blow away stress, and I will not tolerate any forms of stress here! Like you degenerate outsiders! Waaaaaaaa-chaaaaaaaaaa~/ With that, she'd swing forward with a Dual Chop!
Onyxia could now tell it didn't care. She could attack it again but that could blow up on her, she doubted running, and a pokeball was the same. Confident though she threw another Pokeball towards the Pokémon. If was praying any harder the words might have escaped her lips. "Please work. Please work."
Despite this the little bug found purchase, latching on to the carbinks side and piercing one of its protruding gemstones. Unlike everything else he'd been made to suck on before this, Deneb found that whatever it was that flowed through the carbink was incredibly delicious. Maybe it was because it wasn't a living creature so the energy that flowed through it was pure and sweet, or maybe their shared fairy typing was appealing to his senses. Whatever the reason, Deneb got a little too carried away with his sapping, and before he knew it the carbink would drop straight to the ground, taking the bug with him.
Altair walked over and crouched in front of the body. He gave Deneb a little pat on the head with his finger and allowed the cutiefly to return to the inside of his collar before surveying the unconscious pokemon before him. It's fate was certainly better than that of the smoochum before it, this one was actually intact. The sparkling jeweled surface was enticing, and he hesitated briefly before putting his hand on the carbink and inspecting it for any valuable loose part he could take with him, hoping it wasn't going to spring back to life anytime soon.
Tiye screamed out the moment she was able to talk about. The fear had robbed her of her voice, and she had been soundlessly screaming all the way down. Her entire being was trembling...she had literally been pushed out of a helicopter that she swore was a flying wreck.
The bad thing ...she still wasn't sure what was worst, the fall or the flight. Either way, Tiye didn't walk out of the crash sight she was crawling ....as she found she didn't dare look up to see how far she had fallen.
"I am never going to do that again ...I don't give a flip, but I am not getting back on that death trap."
She declares to herself as she would finally think to call out her partner as she lay out on the ground. This place, her eyes were slightly closed didn't smell of civilizations but wilderness and it was dangerous to be in the wilderness alone.
Aida would appear in a flash of red and look at her trainer posed in such a way that was an shame, and not only that, but her hair and the expression on her face.
What the hell had happen?
Aida feared the worst, until she looked around.
Where was they?
"Snubbull?"
(Tiye?)
One thing she could say about her trainer, she seemed to be shining quite prettily.
Be it luck, fate, or the will of the Kyu, Nim would find herself coming down from the mountain and entering...
Sweltering Steam Field
Coming down from the mountain, you find yourself in a rather unusual setting. The ground before you is cracked yet thick with moisture, rocks piled high and caked with mud in the strangest shapes. A whistling hits your ears, and a moment later a jet of steam belts out from a hole in the rock. One after the steam vents itself into the open air, releasing a sweltering mist over the area. Best watch your step if you don't fancy learning what a steamed vegetable feels like, and one can only imagine what sort of Pokemon would willingly call this place home...
