Fact: Popcorn is actually a special type of corn in that it's the only variety that pops! There's a tiny little drop of water in the hull of the kernel, and that's what makes it pop when it's heated--the water turns into steam, and the pressure leads to your favorite movie snack.

Fact: Tanuki are almost as strong in magic and folklore in Japan as the famous Lucky Cat. The over sized scrotum is an exaggerated feature, that represents money, not something sexual like one might think. In illustrations, this feature is often drawn as an actual money bag. Business owners, will even display Tanuki statues with the enlarged area, for the promise of money. So THIS is why that weird Ghibli anime, Pom Poko, all the Tanuki have ridiculously large scrotums! rofl rofl rofl The more you know...

Fact: Azurill is the only Pokemon that can change it's gender when evolving. When evolving into Marill, Azurill has a 1 in 4 chance of switching genders. Fans have debated whether this is because some amphibians are able to change gender, or that it may have embryonic qualities that mean it hasn't fully formed into a gender yet.
