"Heh." Well, that might work well for Zevran, but that didn't mean it would work for him - not with Alyssa, at any rate.
"Oh, aim as high as you can," Abel offered with a nod, "because if you start high, they'll probably work you down to around where you want to be anyway. If you start where you want to be, they'll work you down to lower than what you want - or in this case, a higher price than what you wanted. So," he went on with a smirk to counter Zevran's, "take whatever percent off you'd like and add at least ten to it and start there, perhaps?"

"Ahhhh," Zevran grinned and poked Abel lightly in the side, "I knew there had to be a haggler in there somewhere. Let's see what we can do here...."
He'd started at eighty, flirting a bit and cajoling a lot, but in the end he had settled for sixty five and considered it quite a good job well done.
Brandishing the key he turned to Abel with a smirk. "Elevator to level six, just below the penthouse. Shall we go and see about that mini bar?"

Abel waved a dismissive hand at the poking. "Nonsense, I don't know what you're talking about."
A short while later Zevran acquired a wonderful price and a room key to show for it. While fifteen percent wasn't too much more, every little bit helped when the original price was so high. "That sounds perfect," Abel said, countering the shorter blond's smirk with his own as he turned to head to the elevator. "I bet the view from the balcony is great. I wonder how much of the city we can see from there? After we check out that mini bar, of course," he added. "Or maybe check it out while on the balcony?" So long as they didn't start leaning over the rail or anything, that would be fine, right?

"Of course you don't, silly me," Zevran said innocently as they ascended.
Their room was just across the corridor from the elevator and Zevran was quick to swipe the key and step inside, holding the door for Abel after him. Finally, some privacy! Not that he minded public displays himself but it was clear that Abel was not of the same mind.
Once both of them were inside and the door had swung shut Zevran leaned back against the wall and smirked up at Abel. "So, what do you want first?" he asked as he reached up to unfasten his jacket.

Once they were inside, Isaac hopped off of Abel's shoulders to eagerly explore the interior of the darkened room.
His trainer, on the other hand, immediately turned and leaned both arms against the wall on either side of Zevran. The other man would have enough room to finish unfastening his jacket, but just barely. "I'm still really interested in checking out that mini bar," he admitted in a softer voice as he leaned down to brush his lips against the other blond's neck, "in a minute."

Zevran made a soft noise of appreciation and tilted his head away to allow Abel to reach his neck better. "You are making up for teasing earlier I see," he murmured, sliding his jacket off and letting it drop to the ground before sliding his arms around Abel's waist and tugging him a little closer.

"Or maybe I'm just making it worse," he retorted quietly with a smirk the shorter blond wouldn't see as he traced a line of gentle kisses from the crook of his shoulder and worked his way up the side of his neck. When he reached his earlobe he lingered there for a few moments before leaning away a bit, just enough to bring his face close to Zevran's. "You know what I want to do first, but what about you?"

Oh he knew what he wanted to do but anticipation made it all the better in the end. Zevran leaned up to press his lips to Abel's for a few moments before drawing back again and pushing the taller man gently away. "Drinks on the balcony I think, we should enjoy those things before we get distracted," he chuckled.

He gladly returned the kiss until Zev pushed him away, so he offered him a grin and a gesture towards the interior of the room instead. "After you then," he said, though before following he took a moment to find and turn on some lights - or at least, the ones whose switches were near the door - so they'd actually be able to see.
Isaac had wandered past the mini bar and had sat in front of the balcony door, his forked tail curved around his paws and his nose shoved through the curtains so he could look outside.

Zevran paused by the door to pull off his sneakers and socks before heading into the room proper. It was indeed very nice, he wasn't sure what size the bed was other than 'big' but the detail didn't seem very important. The decor in general was sort of art deco, very pleasing to the eye, but what was even more pleasing was the cabinet set under the desk.
"Ah-ha!" Zevran opened it and turned to Abel with a triumphant grin and gestured to the promising contents. "Let's see here, we have; two bottles of imported beer, a half bottle of... prosecco? Yes, prosecco. Also two mini bottles of vodka with cans of fancy soda. I would say that's quite a good offering, at no additional cost. Where shall we start?" He fully intended to drink everything in the little fridge, or failing that to take it away with him in the morning.

When Zevran removed his footwear, Abel remembered his and he stooped down to follow suit. The carpeting beneath his feet felt squishy and expensive, and as he took a few moments to look around while Zevran hunted for their prize. It all looked so lavish and expensive - or at least looked it, even if it wasn't - and he felt a little out of place. For so long he had hardly any money to spend on basic groceries, forget about anything more than that, so to be standing in such an expensive hotel room like this... "I almost feel like I shouldn't be here," the taller blond mused aloud as he hooked his thumbs into his pockets and slowly crossed the plush carpeting to the balcony doors, then pushed one curtain aside to peek out at the darkness. "This place is so nice and classy, I kind of feel a little out of place almost. I feel like I'd fit in much better in the cheapest room they have. Not that I'm complaining or anything," he hastened to add, "this place is great and it's awesome you got such a great deal on it, I.. Ah, we should probably save the strong stuff for last, so maybe start with the beer?"

Zevran laughed merrily and Abel's comment and wrinkled his nose in mischievous delight. "Does it not feel as though we've broken into an expensive home somewhere while the owner is away? We are out of place, let us enjoy the experience! You do enjoy being naughty don't you? Soak up the stench of wealth and recline on its expensive furniture, or indeed do other things on its expensive furniture. Here," Zevran took the beers out of the fridge and deftly used the top of one to remove the top of the other, which he proffered to Abel, "beer we probably cannot pronounce." As he passed one beer to Abel he knocked the loosened top of the other off on the edge of the mini fridge, managing by some minor miracle not to leave a mark on it.

Broken into-- He couldn't help but laugh at the question. "It kind of does, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. And I wouldn't be here if I didn't," he replied with a smirk as he padded over to accept the beer. "Thank you. Now, let's see about this balcony, yeah?" He took a sip of his unpronounceable beer as he stepped back to the balcony, pushed the curtain fully aside, and unlocked the door. Once he slid it open, a gentle breeze blew the cool night air inside, bringing with it not the usual scents of a city but the scent of trees and flowers instead. "Y'know," he began as he stepped barefoot onto the balcony, flexing his toes and feeling the wood beneath his feet, soaking up the relaxing atmosphere and aromas of the forest the city was built into, "for the first time I think living here instead of in Camphoreon might be pretty nice. Maybe I'll just settle for vacationing here once in a while instead. What d'you think Isaac?"
The Espeon had trotted across the balcony to join his trainer, and made a pleased noise to agree. It was a beautiful night and the air felt deliciously cool but not too chilly just yet, and out here he couldn't hear any of the same obnoxious sounds that Camphoreon had; screeching cars, honking horns, the squawking of indignant humans... No, it seemed so quiet and peaceful out here, plus he knew full well how much his friends could use a vacation from - well, everything really.
"Yeah, I think I wouldn't mind vacationing here," the blond said before he took another sip of his beer, then leaned on the balcony's intricately patterned railing, "once I actually, y'know, have enough money to take a vacation."

Zevran nodded and padded silently after Abel out onto the balcony. There was a hammock out here, and a sort of swinging loveseat with a canopy over it. "I could get used to this," he admitted with a chuckle, taking in a deep breath of the fresh clean air. "Maybe one day when I have come into a lot of money I will get a little place here, somewhere to unwind away from the stresses of Camphoreon. You would be welcome any time of course, and Isaac and the others. A little home from home." It was fun to fantasise about such things and, who knew, it could even happen. When you didn't have a plan for life just about anything could be just around the corner from sudden violent death all the way up to sudden unexpected wealth, the world was a funny place like that.

"I think I'm already used to it," he joked with a wry smile, and watched his Espeon wander around the balcony for a bit before he paused underneath the hammock. "You want in the hammock bud?"
"Eon," Isaac replied eagerly, his ears perked as he stood up on his back legs to sniff at the bottom of the fancy cloth hammock.
Wordlessly Abel pushed himself away from the railing and crossed over to the hammock, scooped the psychic-type up in one arm, and deposited him into the hammock all the care and compassion of a rock: He simply dumped him into the hammock, and it bounced for a bit before settling. Isaac's head poked up from the depths of the hammock so that he could stick his tongue out at his trainer; Abel immediately responded in kind like the mature and no-nonsense adult he was. With his Espeon settled in the hammock for now, the taller blond turned around and headed towards the swinging seat to see how comfortable it was. "That sounds awesome," he admitted as he sat down and leaned back with a contented sigh, his colorful eyes sliding shut. A little home away from home... Except that home would be so much more comfortable and relaxing - and enjoyable - than his current home. But maybe not in the future; maybe in the future Alyssa would be gone, and he wouldn't have to worry about her or his lack of funds anymore... Maybe when he sprouted wings and began to fly. "A nice, quiet, peaceful little vacation home like this would be nice... Hell, I'd settle for just a hotel room again. We might have to do this again sometime," he suggested innocently before he took another sip of his fancy beer. It wasn't bad, but he wasn't about to complain about complimentary alcohol.
