If you rolled a 3, you play a game of double dutch with a slowly moving laser, slipping up just enough to end up with criss-cross burns on your arms and shoulders. Take 4 damage.
Forera dealt 6 damage. Forera travels UP!
Forera heard a nervous chuckle slide out of her mouth, and the tealblood couldn't help but crack a hard smile. "You say that like I've actually done a crime of some sorts, kid." She murmured, shaking her head. To his knowledge, she'd simply changed her identity. He couldn't possibly know-- Or could he? Her eyes stayed rigid anyways, listening to his words as her lips curled with every one of his own. "Thanks, yer not too shabby yourself, considering you're wearing the same thing. All the time. And hey, didn't you know? Science is my passion." Maybe he was just permanently working there or something. She didn't know. And she didn't need to know.
The moment he offered their temporary truce, Forera's eyebrow lifted slightly, feeling like it might've been a trick. Oh well, she wasn't going to be around there much longer, considering the state of the tower in itself. And she could make herself sparse real quick and easy, depending. She extended her hand to shake his own, almost as if to seal the deal. "Done deal. My name's Perore, glad to work with ya." It was an indirect way of saying to keep his mouth shut, at least until later. After tonight, she'd be gone.
She felt a little sad about it by now, honestly.
Soon after came a familiar looking area, something that reminded her of the beginning zone-- Oh s**t, it was reusing its crap again?? Forera was so not up for this...! HP: 16 - 4 =12 HP Military Level Gauntlets Adept Agility Style B Artifact (1) Novice Offensive Style B Trinket (1) (cannot use)

Ri is attacking and going UP
Lasers. So many freakin' lasers. Rianon took a little caution approaching the next room, trying to use her wits in order to avoid the darn things. "I think I got the pattern figured out, go right right left across the room-" Ri called out to Crowma, and the rest of the trolls in the little gaggle. Unfortunately some more panels opened up to reveal what now? More lasers! Ri's planning ahead didn't seem to save them much hassle. She cussed under her breath, "Sorry ya'll, didn't see those panels..." she mumbled to the older trolls.
HP: 16/40 (-1 till support) Support Artifact A 0/1 Damage: 4+4+1+3+3+5
If you rolled a 1, you attempt to army crawl under a laser, and a grid descends on your body. It roasts you like a beefdog, grill lines and all. Take 5 dmg.
Etsali should have been keeping her eyes on the floor, after that fall, but instead they were focused dead ahead on the rest of the group as she scrambled to keep up with them. As long as she stepped more or less where they had, it would be fine anyway. She didn't want to lose sight and slow down even more than she already was just because she was limping. So she'd seen some of the back and forth between Forera and the yellowblood and now she was curious. Was this something that would be a problem?
Caiden knowing them had been one thing, because she was sure he knew them by their disguise names (his yelling of them when he'd come to hug them had been evidence enough of that). But this was clearly not that. She mulled over it as she went, and then bundled the thought up and set it to the side as she saw the lasers ahead. She couldn't duck through them the way she had, not with her legs as messed up as they were, so she dropped to try and crawl under instead.
Unfortunately, the lasers dropped with her. She rolled out of the hallway and then stopped in the corridor, pressing her hands over her eyes and sobbing. Then, drawing in a shaky breath, she pushed to her feet and jogged back to the group, face caught in a grimace. She twisted that into a grin as she came alongside Forera, because she needed the distraction, and dropped her voice a bit because she didn't want too much of the attention that might come with it.
"So, who's your pal?" She nudged the tealblood with an elbow, teasing. "And what's Ardais gonna think, you flirting it up while she's right there?"
Mahmud HADILL SESHAT is fighting the HALF CONSTRUCTED TOWER, and is going LEFT
Rastin and Mahmud had long since parted ways, but the boy never regretted meeting the older teen. Neither did Harpommy it seemed, seeing as she cooed sadly when Rastin went out ahead. Somehow though, it didn't truly feel like the last time they would meet. Especially if they were both trying to navigate this death trap of a space elevator...
Speaking of death traps, after hopping back over the pile of robots he had ran into last time (who mustave tuckered themselves out), the room had gotten... different. Instead of disco hemo tiles of doom, there was nothing. Like sure, faint laser beams, but nothing serious like last time. What was the worst that could happen?
Burns. First degree burns was the worst that could happen. After the first laser seared him, Harpommy had the brilliant idea of flying straight through them with Mahmud on her back. No matter what, they weren't getting across without getting tasty and crispy. Might as well go faster, right?
Leeroi activated his belt, assuming the shield would hold up through this path of death. Charging in with typical reckless abandon, Leeroi was disappointed but not surprised when he heard Mera and Koko scream out for help. Without pause, he reached back to grab the two, scooping them both out from their precarious position.
Slinging one over each shoulder, Leeroi would have apologized for the carrying conditions if he wasn't still bitter from before. "Hold on!" He ordered, breaking into a run to make it to the end of the room before his shield expired. He'd protect these damsels in distress, even if one of them was a little ungrateful.
Akkira hadn't wanted to go charging in, knowing that the sounds of energy revving meant that there was something there that would be at least sort of painful, however tekemom insisted that if they didn't just power through they never would make it and charged right on ahead, burning her's and Akkira's bodies, akkira received less of the burn and got out with only singed clothes. Tekemom on the other hand was a lot more worse for the wear, the slimy layer that protected her body had been cut through and hit the creature's skin. If anyone stopped to smell, it probably gave off the hint of cooked fish and rotten meat.
"Tekemom! Are you okay?" Tekemom hummed in response to the young troll's worry. 'you see, that's what happens when we take things head on instead of avoiding it, minimal damage....'
If you rolled a 2, you decide to run straight through in the hopes that "it won't be so bad". It very much is, and at the end of the line your burns will very much linger. Take 3 damage, and 1 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
Hemera didn't have to be told twice to hold on. Not even once, really. Her fingers curled up tightly into the fabric of Leeroi's jumpsuit as soon as she discovered there was something to hold onto. She started icing up in the meantime, namely over the burn wounds. It hurt, it hurt, it hurt. Tears started to well in her eyes, with no mental block to stop them. The grill had burned right through the back of her jumpsuit. No one would have to tell her that; Mera sure could feel it on her own.
Leeroi felt Hemera's fingers curling tight around his jumpsuit. His throat constricted. Seeing these trolls in a moment of fragility hurt him. He was supposed to be their hero, he wanted to do more, but what else could he do? They had to keep moving, they had to shut down the machine...
No. Mera didn't think he cared— and this was an opportunity to prove her wrong. Setting them on their feet (as gently as Leeroi could muster with his faulty robot arm), Leeroi grabbed each of their wrists and spoke clearly. "Stay calm. Stay close, I'll keep you safe," He told them, then turned to Hemera directly.
"Keep your burn cold," He said, pulling an emergency roll of bandages from one of his suit's pockets. "You can split this amongst yourselves," He looked between the two of them. "You'll be alright." He insisted.
Leeroi's hold gave a little, tilting her towards the ground. Part of her didn't want what she knew what was coming. But she had to. Hemera wobbled on her feet once they were planted. She couldn't give herself time to breathe. Time to be strong. "Right- I-" she stopped, clenching her teeth. Moving didn't help the pain any. "I- I- just need a moment. Thank you." Mera took the bandages, but seemed content having something to clench in her hands. "Can someone check to make sure it's icing properly? I'm- trying my best to make the ice hold but I can't tell."
"Alright," Leeroi took the task without hesitation. It was unfair to make Koko do such a thing when she was badly hurt, too. Moving behind Hemera, he assessed the damage. Hemera's icing was by no means perfect, but she had done a very good job of covering the major parts of her wounds.
"Solid as a shell," Leeroi hummed a little laugh. "You wanna share some of that with Koko?" He said jokingly, but earnestly trying to get Hemera to help the little kid out. "I could bandage you up in the meantime," He offered, placing his hand over the tealblood's in an attempt to get her to release the bandages she was clutching so dearly.
"If Afryse was here..." She only knew one troll who could use ice on others versus their own self. Eerie that it was another healing situation, like a sweep or so ago. "Mmmm." Hemera looked at Koko. Children weren't supposed to get hurt; that's what lusii and older trolls were for. Failing to do so, twice, felt like Mera's own fault. She had to step it up.
Somehow.
"Kolako, are you able to keep going? One of us or your lusus could carry you..." Hemera winced as she tried to bend. The ice cracked. A painful job indeed. She elected to kneel instead. First, a bit of bandage was sacrificed to clean off the remaining blood on Koko's leg, before wrapping.
"I'm not sure what we would have done without the bandages," she murmured to Leeroi, handing them off before focusing ice on her hand to use on Koko's burns.
"Furore," she took a deep inhale so she could try to speak without her voice wavering too much. "The ice is cracking and I won't be able to cover it with another layer until I'm done with Kolako. Try to avoid touching it so it doesn't flake off prematurely. It's moody like that."

Cerpin Sugall HP: 12/40 (lusus) Damage: 4 Direction: Up 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you
"I hate this ******** place. If we make it out of here, we're going on a vacation." He rubbed at his aching joints. Cerpin was in a foul mood after all the pain and tears from this adventure. Blossmom was basically thinkpan damaged for the next week and Scuttle was a burden. Next up on their tour of pain was- a laser hallway. Hooray!
"Last time it was a mistake to go fast. This time I'm going to crawl slowly where it can't get me. Be careful, Vee." He had a strategy this time, he couldn't go wrong! Crawling on his hands and knees, Cerpin made slow but steady progress through the eerily dark and creepy tunnel. The faint laser lines made him nervous but did nothing to dampen the huge amount of frustration fueling his proud determination to reach the end of this thing. They were going to put a stop to this weird threat and save Chittentown. He was not going to lose another home in this city that he loved.
He was going to, however, lose his cool. A grid of pure hot light descended on his oblivious body and pancaked him pretty solidly. Letting out a scream of pain and rage, he writhed under it until he broke free and ran the rest of the way yelling profanities too extreme to write out.

Tevini Euruft HP: 12/40 (lusus) (1 ongoing until support is used from now on) Damage: 4 Direction: Up If you rolled a 4, a quick assessment of the lasers gives you an idea of how to proceed. Unfortunately emergency protocols in the hallway mean that the more time you take thinking, the more lasers pop up. You're not able to avoid much of the damage. Take 4 dmg and deal +1 damage.
"If we make it out of here we should go to a hospital." Tevini admitted. His dream of a vacation was nice but first they needed to get treated for all of these burns and other injuries. Her legs still hurt from that fall. She'd opted to ride Scuttle for a bit, after reattaching his rollerskates, in order to rest. Cerpin had been invited to join but she couldn't tell if the walking was helping him stay pumped up. He was a proud one and didn't like to admit when he'd been licked. It was admirable to see him fight with such determination, she just wished she could get him to recover! Then again, the bomb wouldn't wait for them to catch their breath. They had to keep pressing on.
"Okay." The redblood nodded, letting Cerpin go first again. Their recent history pointed out this might not be working out but it was too late- he was already crawling. And then he was screaming- cussing as he ran. If their lives weren't in danger, she would've laughed at the ridiculous profanities escaping him right now. Nudging Scuttle to hurry after, the two of them managed to avoid a few lasers after watching Cerpin's path but it wasn't long before Scuttle was yelping in pain too. But at least he had skates!

ROUND 8
"Hello, hello? This is Dr. Casini. I've patched in through the intercom and have access to the power room security cameras..." You can hear her taking a shaky breath.
"Now, don't panic or anything, but there may be some kind of large black box with a timer on it in there, and it's not ours. It seems to be counting down, rapidly. I'm sending up additional forces, but... You know, do what you gotta do to stay safe!" Her voice shudders. "We have to save this project!"

Boss Attack
A horde of dormant builder droids lie in a crumpled pile before you. It looks like they'll remain inactive (and out of their defensive protocols) if you're quiet, but as soon as you step by there's the ominous sound of buzzing that reaches your spongeclots.
If you rolled a 1, the pile rustles, then scatters. Small blue LEDs in their beady eyes turn red as they lock onto you, and begin to pursue you with villainous intent. One may be easy to fend off, but these roach-like bots with their tiny grippers and saws can do heavy damage quickly in numbers! Take 3 dmg, and 2 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 2, you pass by a droid that grabs you by the ankle. It releases a terrible high pitched shriek, and suddenly the rest of the group is up in the air, buzzing near your head with deadly razor blades bared. Take 3 damage, and 1 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 3, a welding droid zaps you right in the rump! It pursues you relentlessly! Take 2 damage, and 1 damage each roll until a support power is used on you.
If you rolled a 4, the bots don't seem to awaken fully until you're half-way past them. Unfortunately, you manage to step right on top of one, which buzzes pathetically and alerts its mates. Take 4 dmg and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 5, you slip past carefully, and the only droids that take flight are sluggish in their movements, eyes yellow. When you get them in a secluded area you beat them into submission! Take 3 damage and deal +2 damage.
If you rolled a 6, you alert the bots but manage to fend them off valiantly for your team! Breaking off the sounding alarm of one of them seems to jam their systems, and as they buzz around in violent confusion you bat some of them out of the air. Take 2 dmg. Your attack does double damage.
