HP: 4/20 (-2 per roll) Military Grade Partisan The next room had a large multifaceted window, not an entire empty space though some panes hadn't yet been put in before evacuations had prevented work. She took the time to move over and look out of it, pretending she was measuring their progress rather than catching her breath. The last room had taken a lot out of her, and several cuts still stung when she moved, but down below the crowds of trolls had gotten larger. They were counting on their heroes to save them. Lorata closed her eyes, took a deep breath as a breeze slipped through the window, and then turned to move on.
Lasers again. She remembered this obstacle and knew she had done well enough in bypassing it the last time. It would be no trouble. As she approached though, the pain of a wound made her leg give just slightly, just enough to trip her through the burning beams. She had to bite down on a scream and press through to keep it from being worse than it could have been.
Lorata does 6 damage and goes LEFT

Health: 9 Defensive B Trinket: 0/1 Support A Artefact: ACTIVE With the other redblood healed, Ephias gave her a curt nod and then split down the hallway. After a short ways he cut an 'X' into the wall with his shears. So far the space tower had proven to be labyrinthine in construction and he was sick of backtracking and getting lost. At least this way he would know where he came from. Rounding another corner, he came once more upon the lasers. This time, he had no one to look after however. Moving slowly and carefully, he wove through them, without so much as singing a hair. That was more like it. [ Ephias does 6 damage and is going LEFT. ] DraconicFeline Ephias heals Psykgi for 10! (I switched the in character order of the heal post and the navigation post since it seemed to flow better the other way.)

HP: 3/20 (-1 ongoing) These traps, again? Vulpin bit their lip in a frown. Doing all they knew to try and avoid the lasers, they at least tried to improve upon their last performance. Fewer singed hairs, no damage to the false horns... Vulpin sighed. Their jumpsuit continued to look worse and worse for wear. Eventually they'd have to shed it, probably. For the time being they'd keep it on as some kind of protection. Vulpin looked back at their fellow travelers. Sure, they were tired, and ready to turn back out of sheer disinterest in risking their life for this endeavor, but some of these trolls just looked like death. Even the kids, they noted. Second Wind (1/1) (Thank you Ephias *w*) The group was splitting again, advancing as best they could through the maze of the tower. It really reminded Psykgi of the swarm. It reminded her of the swarm a lot. How swarmlike were trolls, actually? It wasn't something she'd thought of. Either way, she felt much better than she had before. "Thanks, Degras!" she said, waving at him as he went with one of the splitting groups, "Good luck!" As she turned the corner, her attention was immediately caught by an electrical transfer box right over her head. Gosh, wouldn't that be good to shut down, right now? She hit it with her axe handle, and figured it could always be fixed later. That was how such things were, weren't they? She smashed an approaching robot for good measure, flinging it off to waiting companions as she looked ahead... Still a long ways to go, huh. Well, okay then. She could do this! She took a running reap and landed with a roll, feeling the lasers burn her suit - not bad, all told!

Reemus is going right!

Lasers. Lasers once again. The place was full of them! Reemus's previous rush seeped out of him. He kept going, but there was no end in sight. Every time, the lasers got to him. It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair. He sighed, forcing himself to go a little more. It was hard, though. He wanted to stop. He wanted to go back. There were too many lasers, and he wasn't good at fighting that. More robots or something...please...
Running out of energy, he tried to stay on the wall instead of the floor. His earlier ideas sure hadn't worked, but maybe this one? Reemus went along with it, sliding himself along, but inevitably hit some lasers. They weren't too bad, admittedly, but it was too much at that moment.
Reemus, freshly emerged from the laser field, crumpled to the ground. Naptime.

He curled up on the floor, but his spongeclots let voices filter in. The sounds of other trolls struggling with the lasers and everything else. Reemus wasn't sure that he cared at the moment. He was tired. He was angry. He didn't want to do this anymore! Couldn't he just rest? The chucklevoodoos might get him, but that was fine. He didn't know, he didn't care.
He drifted more, but the voices didn't stop. One of them, familiar, distant. Voscil? His eyes snapped open. Reemus sat up, looking around. No, she didn't seem to be there. But she was somewhere. Staying on the floor wouldn't help. Grumbling, he got back up.

"Austri!" She misjudged the first laser's height and she was burned straight down her leg. Howling from the injury, the greenblood's name escaped her more as a profanity rather than a call. Nursing her leg, and her pride, Scorpa continued through the rest of the lasers more carefully. Fine, she'd learned her lesson.

She wasn't going to mess this up again. She'd been burned pretty badly earlier and Eostre didn't like to make the same mistake twice. She leapt and tumbled through, using her athletic and parkour skills to make it through the lasers almost entirely unharmed. She was breathing heavily and knew there'd be more bruises on her already marked body. She took a knee, feeling her energy completely drained. She needed to keep going, but she wasn't sure she could. Her whole body was aching, as though she had been in training for hours, or gotten her a** kicked by a good opponent. Which, she supposed was what happened.
Eostre dealt 6 damage to the Defense AI
She is going UP!

She clenched her fists. Eostre wasn't going to just give up, lay down on the ground and die like a pathetic worm. She took a deep breath and stood with a grin. She was going to finish this, no matter what. She was strong, and clever, and agile. She could take on any challenge presented to her. Eostre was a member of the Queen's own favored group, fast-tracked in the military and to become her own personal spy. A bomb threat? This was nothing!
She continued on down the hall, feeling powerful and refreshed. She wouldn't allow this to slow her down or stop her.
Eostre heals for 10 HP.

Flydra Dromen HP: 4/40 (lusus) Damage: 2 Direction: Left 1 damage each roll after until a support power is used on you. More lasers, more trouble. Flydra kept close to her lusus this time, feeling kind of singed and tired from their prior accidents in the tower. The other sirens were looking to be in better shape than herself- or at least better spirits. The tealblood felt guilty for being the weak link in their squad. Once they made it out of here, she would have to start training.
"Watch out, girls, I'm going to try to dismantle one." Inching along the wall, Flydra decided to be brave and try something risky in order to impress her girls. Austri and Scorpa had been in the front lines doing all the cool stuff and Lorata was being the best leader they could ask for. Flydra needed to step up her game in order to prove she was good enough to run with this pack.
Pulling a multitool out of her bag, she began fiddling with one of the sources of the lasers embedded in the wall. Hmm, this was looking trickier than she'd thought. Her fingers slipped and got nicked in the light and Flydra let out a yelp of pain, sucking on the now bleeding fingertips in order to stop the bloodflow.
Well if that was how it was going to be. Flydra pulled back her arm and smashed the metal tool into the base of the beam, shattering it and causing the beam to die out. It would be impossible to do this with the rest of them simply due to time constraints but she'd had to get out her frustrations before moving forward and violence was usually a pretty good outlet for that.
Silently, she continued on to reconnect with the other sirens.

Austri is moving LEFT. Austri was a little distraught from having failed so bad, before, and feeling kind of anxious, the greenblood followed behind Lorata, knowing she was still okay, they were still doing fine. It was abrupt, however, when from in front and behind, lasers suddenly came to life. Austri, startled, tripped and fell, being caught by a clumsy Staglebro, whom similarly clumsily pulled her through the beams, injuring her either way but saving her somehow.
Her fingers merely curled in his fur-feathers.
HP: 11 - 1 - 5 = 5 HP

Maybe it would be better if she tried to be careful. She peered down the wall, looking at where all the lasers were. She could probably pick her way through if she could see them all with ease. Angel would barrel through without regard for herself, because she was strong and big. Gnash went forward, only to trip again on a tile. She scrambled along the side of the wall, trying to find purchase but metal on metal had no grip.
Clumsy now? How will you survive a true trial if you land on your hideous face at the slightest provocation? How can you hope to be anything of value if you cannot stand on your own two feet?
Natash dealt 2 damage to the Defense AI.

"Here, I'll go first." Nucleo knelt down and began to crawl. This way, if his weight or motion triggered anything, Amonee would know to look for another way. He lucked out and nothing else happened so Nucleo continued on through until he reached the end. Only then did he smell the scent of burnt hair and freaked out to check his bun in case it'd been lasered off!
