When the realization that Iris and Ling had won their battle against Maria and Lilipup, Iris ran over to Ling just as Maria had done to her Lilpup. Ling had looked at Iris and collapsed in Iris' arms. The pokemon was exhausted from the battle. "You did it." Iris said softly, storking her Ducklett's head. "You deserve a nice long rest and healing." Iris smiled as she looked at her pokemon before she looked at Maria. "You girls were amazing. I couldn't ask for a better rival." Iris said to Maria, compliment her as Maria congratulated her. Her smile was bright as she looked at her friend. The referee was announcing her the winner but that didn't matter to Iris. Instead, she was looking at her roommate and friend before she was hugging the girl.
The best part of this battle wasn't the win.... It was the fact that she had a friend to celebrate it with. ------ X------
Iris was given a break to go heal her pokemon before the closing ceremony began. Iris was so excited that her small body was trying its hardest to keep all that excitement contained before it burst out of her. Beside her was Bebe finally getting some fresh air outside of the pokeball since she came out to be Ling's cheerleader. "Okay look a new game to play. " Iris said as she looked at the prizes. Her eyes widened at the sight of the plushies.
