Meaning of (name): Khonvoum, supreme god of the Mbuti Pygmy people in central Africa; the "great hunter" and Pakhet, a lioness huntress deity, whom the Greeks associated with Artemis
Khonvoum is the supreme god and creator of the Bambuti Pygmy people in central Africa. He is the 'great hunter', god of the hunt, and carries a bow made of two snake which appears to mortals as a rainbow. He rules the heavens and when the sun sets, he gathers pieces of the stars and throws it at the sun so that it may rise the next day in its full splendor. He contacts people by means of the mythical elephant Gor (the thunderer) or through a chameleon. Khonvoum created black and white people from black and white clay, and the Pygmies from red clay. For them he also created the jungle with its lush vegetation and animal life.

Pahket: It became said that rather than a simple domestic protector against vermin and venomous creatures or a fierce warrior, she was a huntress, perhaps as a caracal, who wandered the desert alone at night looking for prey, gaining the title Night huntress with sharp eye and pointed claw. This desert aspect led to her being associated with desert storms, as was Sekhmet. She also was said to be a protector of motherhood, as was Bastet.

Personality:

Khonvoum Pakhet is amoral. He knows no right or wrong, and if he did, he still wouldn't care. He loves to cause pain and fear, he has no regard for anyone but himself. He's on his way to learning to be more charismatic rather than all brute force. Lately, he uses his words to persuade. Cursed with a book of his own, it often screams words and ideas at him. The tales inside are only readable by him, to everyone else they appear gibberish.

He shares a close connection with his brother/basketmates, but his older sisters cause a lot of friction because of a curse. Before they were born it was cursed that each batch of children would hate and try to kill the other.

Khonvoum is convinced that chaos is the ultimate goal in all things. He plans on leading a cult to bleed the Kawani lands dry.

Phail here with your monthly stats announcement :3 As I'm sure you're all aware, the July stats thread is now open so you can claim your stats, and bonus stats for this month can give you a 2% boost in stamina!

Meaning of (name): In Vodou, L'inglesou is a loa who lives in the wild areas of Haiti and kills anyone who offends him. (He executes judgment on those who can't keep their word and the Houngan or Mambo who can't keep the Voodoo secrets from the uninitiated ones. L'inglesou is feared and respected by all. He almost never comes in possession, but when he does must be served correctly, otherwise the Houngan or the Mambo will be cruelly punished.

When L'inglesou comes in possession he only eats glasses, razor blades and drinks warm bull blood's. His color is red and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the St Catholic image uses to represent this wild spirit. He likes sharp objects such as knives, scissors, barbed wire, razor blades; everything that tear the flesh.)

L'inglesou is devout in his practice of Voodoo. He has a preference for the Ghede/Guede loa--particularly Baron La Croix. He has a dark nature to him, and a bit of a black humor (employs farce and morbid humor, which, in its simplest form, is humor that makes light of subject matter usually considered taboo). He's reserved and well-spoken, but can lapse into annoyingly cryptic speech

He believes in spirits, omens, and signs. He runs a small apothecary and is on his way to becoming a Bokor. He has a slight accent usually saying "da" instead of "the" and "chile" instead of "child". He also uses some French/Creole phrases.

Backstory:

Artistic by nature, Viveka has always been a dancer though she feels less confident in her singing. She is by turns shy and then bold depending on whether or not she is around the Gaje or Romani. She is the picture of the perfect daughter in Romani culture, listening to her elders, and the instructions of her father.

Sold into slavery by her own father in payment for a debt, she has become a more broken version of herself. In her time with Horus and his brood, Viveka has learned to parrot back the words that she's been told to say. Replying promptly and appropriately will sometimes save her from being beaten. Inside though, she remains strong for the brother she left behind-holding on to the shattered remnants of who she once was. If she can make it out, she'll have to be whole for him.

Backstory:

Viveka was born to Alvarin and Olga, and was an only child until her brother Sven's birth years and years later. Viveka developed a fierce protectiveness over her brother, whom she often kept watch over.

For years and years, they moved around almost nonstop. Viveka never once questioned her parents about it. Then one day, they told her to say goodbye to Sven and to come along with them.

It wasn't until much later that day, when she was delivered to Morsmordre, that she found out that her parents were giving her as payment to settle a debt. Viveka found courage not to run away from her captor, assuming that if she did so Sven would be sold in her place.
