Zemenu and her older sister Missy were raised in a middle-class family in a major demon city a few hours travel from Asphodel. While both her mothers were successful in their careers, both of them were more interested in raising their family than chasing any ambitions of wealth and fame. Missy admired this family-focused approach to life, whereas Zemenu never understood why you would throw away all your career potential just to have loud, attention-demanding babies. This caused Zemenu to grow distant from her family, often locking herself in her room to talk to friend on the phone or go out to take interesting photos of the city. Her parents assumed it was just a phase young people went through and were happy to provide her with all the photography equipment she desired due to her excellent grades in school.
While Zemenu was still in the last few years of her time at school, Missy left their home to study pâtisserie at Asphodel - it was too much of a niche market to pursue in any city other than the capital. Although the sisters had never been particularly close, Zemenu only grew more distant in her home after Missy was gone, although she was grateful to have the 'studious daughter' spotlight. When it came to her time to graduate, Zemenu had no doubts of what she wanted to do; travel to the romantic capital city of Asphodel and throw herself into the life she saw in the fashion blogs and magazines she'd idolised as a teenager. Zemeny was convinced; she would become the most successful fashion photographer and be showered in fame and fortune. Her parents were shocked to hear the rant and couldn't hide their disappointment that neither of their daughters would stay at home with them but, at the same time, they wished nothing but the best for their precious daughter - a beautiful sentiment that the hybrid scoffed at.
Zemenu was shocked at how different the big city was and quickly adapted to her new environment. She could only afford a cheap student dorm but was happy with simply throwing herself into her work. Within her first year of studying fashion and photography she had made many connections through her charm and confidence and used this networking to obtain a job in one of the major fashion magazine companies. By year two she had already secured a handful of photography gigs for magazine shoots and began to make a name for herself. Once she had graduated, Zemenu's name was known by most of the smaller editors in the company and she had become close friends with one of the newer upcoming names in the business, Reiko. Zemenu still isn't satisfied, however, and is constantly networking and finding opportunities to charm big names in the industry, whatever the cost. She's gained a fairly large social media following and hopes to use that influence to source more prevalent photography gigs. The only thing lacking in her life now is a beautiful girl to move into a studio apartment with - but never to raise kids, of course.

missy zemenu's older sister, missy only shares one mother in common with her sister. zemenu always pointed out this difference between their races while missy was more interested in what brought them together, rather than apart. zemenu always felt the need to compete with her sister, making their relationship somewhat tense. missy has tried to contact zemenu since they both arrived in asphodel, however the younger sibling is only willing to open communication when she becomes more famous in her industry - she wants to show off her success and finally feel like she's beaten her sister.

Coco has always been interested in technology and how things work - even when she was an infant barely able to move around, her reaching hands would always close around any phones or remotes lying around. This of course proved to be mildly troublesome for her fathers, but like most parents they were eager to see the potential in their daughter. As soon as she was old enough to put together puzzles and building blocks she was just as quick to tear them down and look at how exactly they fit together and why they couldn't fit differently. Her fathers tried to provide Coco and her sister Fable with a supportive environment so they could develop their skills and interests; the young hybrid was lucky to have her twin around both for motivating competition and as a friend.
When the twins first arrived at the academy, even as a freshling Coco wasn't surprised she was placed in Enoch - her love for engineering and science was apparent. Unfortunately, this means that she was separated from Fable who was placed in Arkham. Of course the houses held little influence over the two, but Coco didn't like this first sign of them potentially drifting apart. Coco's overly persistent nature allowed her to do well in her classes, even though her relentless questions could annoy her teachers. What surprised Coco was the amount of bullying she witnessed both in the classroom and on the playground; hallowed kids, kids from Above, even hybrid kids were all treated differently because of the way they looked. As a freshling, Coco felt powerless, but she was determined to dedicate her life to helping those who needed it in any way she could.
Currently continues to focus her studies towards engineering and tinkering, although she is unsure what specific path she wishes to take and how it will tie into her ideals of being a hero - hopefully things will become clearer as she gets older.

Carnation was the only child of a single mother - a baphomet who held a high positioned job in an event planning organisation. Part of her job was arranging flowers and furniture beautifully, meaning Carnation grew up in an environment surrounded by high fashion photography and immaculately maintained design. As a result, the young baphomet gained a keen eye for aesthetics and even as a freshling wowed his peers with his good fashion sense and beautifully organised stationery. His mother taught him the importance of looking good - your appearance was the first thing others noticed and, whether they liked it or not, they'd make a snap judgement on your entire character due to that first impression. This left a lasting impact on the young baphomet who would then always make an effort to look groomed and well-dressed whether he was going to an important event or just sitting around at home.
A single mother working a high-ranking job is always likely to stress the importance of hard work on their child and Carnation's mother was no exception. The baphomet put in hours of hard work every day to achieve the best grades he possibly could, although it was clear his mind was more artistically minded than scientifically. Where he failed at mathematics and other such subjects, however, he excelled in literature and anything artistic. Much to his mother's delight, Carnation showed a good sense of manipulating the space around him and making sure it was aesthetically pleasing - the essence of interior design. His mother stressed the importance of pursuing this career, so Carnation had no questions about graduating from the academy and attending Grendel for interior design.
Unsurprisingly, Carnation aced all of his university classes due to both a natural knack for the subject and a lot of hard work. When he wasn't studying the theory behind what he was learning, Carnation was attending university events and social gatherings thrown by his mother to increase his networking. By the time he graduated, Carnation was one of the highest performing students and had accumulated dozens of important contacts in the design industry. After only a few years of full-time work, Carnation has been able to set up his own small business to provide interior design for wealthy clients, specialising in uptown apartments and townhouses - he loves the challenge of working with a smaller space. Despite his success, Carnation is always pushing himself to do better and attending events to spread his influence wherever he can; the baphomet won't settle until he's the most well-known name in the industry, his company's name on the full-spread advertisements in the most popular magazines.

Maple was awakened by a vain, self-serving diva - his demon mother, Asuna. By the time he was old enough to understand the gravity of being a child to a popular performer, he began to become far more introverted. While his mother was relatively caring in a superficial way, her parenting method towards emotions and tantrums was to bottle it up lest his mood bring her down too. Ever since he was a child everything was about her and, when he was only a freshling, Maple discovered the only reason Asuna imbued him in the first place was to gain public popularity by playing the angle of a 'working mother'. This caused Maple to become incredibly insecure himself - his only purpose was to make his mother look good, so should he have desires and dreams of his own or did that go against what he was made for? He found it easier to simply become complacent and serving to his mother, wanting to avoid any conflict and knowing she had no interest in his negative emotions.
Despite all these negative aspects of her parenting, Asuna was very loving towards Maple and often lauded his attractive appearance and soft demeanour. While she wasn't the best at comforting her son, Maple believed she tried her hardest and as a freshling held no resentment towards his mother despite her emotional manipulation. Initially Asuna wanted to homeschool Maple, saying to him that it was because she didn't want him harassed by people at the Academy for having a famous parent. The truth was far more sinister - she didn't want him to discover her other child, Essurio, whom she abandoned as an infant. Maple wasn't eager to attend the Academy either, knowing he was far too insecure to truly make friends despite craving those connections with others. On a whim one night Asuna decided to send him away regardless of her worries, her selfish desire for personal time overcoming her fear of Essurio being exposed.
Maple's time at the Academy has been mostly mundane, although he has discovered an interest in medicine and specifically how alchemy is applied in the medical field. He has made a few friends, but his fear to open up or express any real emotions keeps most other children at a distance. Due to the age difference he has yet to discover his half-sibling Essurio, much to Asuna's relief.

asuna maple's emotionally manipulate mother who's only interest is how he can serve her, asuna is the mother who decided to keep him. she has never spoken of his other mother, esme, or of his sibling ender or his half-sibling essurio. believing asuna to be his only true personal connection, maple has become dependent on his mother and is more than willing to serve her whims without holding any resentment towards her. only time will tell if he eventually realises her selfish nature and develops a far less pleasant relationship with her.
essurio maple's half-sister whom he doesn't know exist, essurio is currently a junior at the academy and so has not encountered her freshling brother. it is possible they'll meet in the future - it's hard to predict how either party would react to the revelation.
