You push your way to the food and just start piling it all in your arms and in your mouth. You need to eat, you feel like you’re just eating yourself from the inside and the feeling needs to stop. The food goes down smooth and delicious, just like it looked, but before long you feel funny. Did your head always hurt this much? Your throat is starting to feel small and you look as the people around you start to drop to the floor. The food was bad! You don’t know if someone poisoned it or if it was just spoiled to start with but you feel your eyes get heavy and you feel your body hit the table.

You see the small hands grab the food, their face lighting up with happiness. It all looked so good. You turn to look at the table but it’s all empty now, nothing but bones and scraps left. You couldn’t get any for yourself. The little one is happily eating the food you gave them but you start to notice something funny… the people who already ate are all falling to the floor. There was something in the food. You look back to the one you gave your food to and you see them look you in the eyes while they drop what they have and put their hands to their head. Theirs eyes close and they fall as well. You didn’t eat the food, you were saved, but you could have saved that person if you just hadn’t have given them anything…

The crowd rushes forward and they all gorge themselves on the food. Their fists pull back with delicious looking piles of things you don’t even know if you’ve heard of before while you’re stuck in the back with nothing. Your stomach rumbles and you know that you’re feeling weak already, but there’s nothing more you can do. But something strange starts. As quickly as they started eating it looked like they were stopping before falling to the floor unconscious. What was happening to them? It was something in the food! But you didn’t eat anything. Before you know it… you’re the only one left standing.

The table seems to melt into the floor, the walls and the fabrics following with it. The people seem to be swallowed up, leaving only you behind. You feel cool air rush your face and then a very dim light casts shadows over the new surroundings. The smell of smoke fills your nose and you see people around you. They don’t notice you’re there, there’s nothing out of the ordinary for them, they’re all caught up in the game. You hear a clicking noise and when you turn to look you can see it’s a large wheel with a small bead on a table. The person running the game clicks the wheel, it’s turning rapidly and you see him roll the ball across it. All the people around you seem to tense up, watching where the ball with stop and you realize you’ve seen this game before. The round ends and the person behind the wheel calls out for new bids. You feel a hand touch your arm and when you turn to look it’s your friend. They’re there with you and urging you on.

Ilyra Post 5 HP: 21 HP She just stayed there on the floor, too weak to do anything. However before long the people who had been eating all the food fell to the ground, passing out from what she could tell. Although she was still starving Ilyra was grateful that she didn't eat any of the food. Who knew what would happen to the people that were now on the floor.
Soon everything melted, leaving her in another area, one much happier then the one before. Although there was a game and bets being place it seemed like an over all fun place to be in.
One of her childhood friends urged her to place a bet, and when she seemed reluctant her friend promised to go half with her and Ilyra caved. What was the harm in playing.

Lasarra Post 5 HP: 15 HP
Looking back Lasarra realized there was no food for her. Although her stomach hurt from hunger she new that she had done the right thing by giving the child all of her food. That was until she started to noticed that some of the people were falling to the floor. Scared, Lasarra looked back at the child just in time to see the child closing her eyes as well. "No! What have I done!" She cried as she went to pick up the child and see if she could save them.
Before she could even reach the child everything seemed to melt, the people and walls and everything. She was alone again, but not for long. As she looked around Lasarra realized that she was in some sort of game room with everyone keeping their eyes trained on the game in front of them. It was a strange game and she wasn't sure what the appeal in the game was. Why people liked it so much.
Before she could think more on the matter one of her childhood friends placed their hand on her shoulder and started to egg her towards playing the game. Lasarra shook her head, she didn't want to play, but her friend just shrugged and put their own bet down. Seems like there was nothing stopping them.
She killed the little girl. Sure she hadn't meant to, but the younger girl was dead now and it was all her fault. As she held the girl in her hand the youngling seemed to melt into the floor along with everything else. Niadra tried to hold on tightly to the girl, but in the end there was nothing in the room. Nothing but Niadra sitting on the floor shocked at what she had done.
Just like before the dream, or was it a nightmare, things changed rapidly. All of a sudden she was in in a room fulled with smoke and cheering. There was a game going on and people were betting on it. Although it seemed dangerous she didn't see why she shouldn't do it and put some money on when her friend urged her on. Hopefully this room would give her more luck then the last.

Eleina Post 5 HP: 12 HP
She didn't care. She was hungry. She deserved the food just as much as anyone else did. However it didn't take much time until her throat started to close,and she started to feel like everything was going to be horrible. People started to fall to the ground and it didn't take long before she was next. The floor rushed towards her as her eyes dropped and she was out.
In what seemed like seconds later Eleina was waking up, and although she was a little lethargic she seemed to be fine otherwise. Looking around she realized she was in a new place and there were people playing some sort of game at it. She watched the game end then when a new game started she declined the offer to play. She hadn't had good luck so far, so she wasn't going to push it now.
She smiled over at the child, happy to see that they were happy even if it meant that she herself was hungry. She was about to ask the child how they were felling when all off a sudden she noticed people who had finished eating were falling to the floor. She went to stop the child, just in case it was something dangerous, but she was too late the child was already holding their head in their hands. Tears fell from Briella's eyes as she realized what she had done. Even as everything started to melt tears still fell from her face.
With blurry vision Briella looked around, surprised at the room she was in. It seemed so happy compared to the room before. So festive. Everyone was playing some sort of game. At first Briella didn't want to play, she couldn't get the child off her mind, but then after her friend urges her on she places a bet on the game. This was a good way to get her mind off things.
Takoda's healer sense's were sharp, even as the pain of hunger faded he stood up straight as people all around him were falling to the ground. Still and no longer breathing, whirling around the shifter looked wide eye'd as he spotted the young child he had just helped let the food slip from her hands before she closed her own eyes and fell to the ground.
He went for her body instantly but the world around him changed before he could catch her.
The shifter no longer starving felt cold inside, by being generous he had doomed that poor child. A sound, a clicking sound met his ears, turning he squinted as the scene settled before him. People were crowding around what looked like a wheel. He recognized the game...it was for better. Back in his old shifter village he had seen people play it to pass the time and hope to gain a few coins.
A hand on his shoulder, he looked up to spot Jacinthus smiling. Odd. Was he encouraging him to place a bet? Giving a small frown he shook his head. Fate...and trying to guess it wasn't really his thing. About to explain to his mate whilst he shook his head it looked as if Jacinthus was going to bet instead. Takoda was about to stop him, but the money was already placed down and the wheel spun. Holding onto Jacinthus's arm he couldn't help but watch as the ball spun around and around..
Jacinthus turned to look toward the table, now empty of food, and gave a bit of a sigh. Not good, but he knew that he could always head out to go hunting if he needed to get himself something to eat. A passing thought that was completely forgotten as the people around him started to fall. The food... was it poisoned?! A thought that had him whirling around, mouth opening so that he could warn the youngling that was still standing nearby but it would seem it was already took late, they had already succumb to whatever was in the food and Jacinthus was left all alone in the silent room.
Standing there, unable to move save for lifting a hand to clutch it at his chest, Jacinthus watched as the room around him seemed to shift and warp, the empty table and fallen people melting away... and then he again found himself somewhere else. This time there were games going on instead of a feast but he didn't move, just looking around in a cautious and somewhat uncomfortable manner. He didn't quite trust this place after the last one, awaiting something bad to happen... but instead he found Takoda standing alongside of him, a hand resting on his arm.
"Takoda?" He was looking at him, talking to him, meaning that whatever had happened before to cause his mate to ignore him had passed. That alone was enough to make him feel better, though the loss of the little one still haunted him. As such he wasn't really quick to jump into the game, not until Takoda agreed to play too. Giving a slow nod of his head Jacinthus moved to place his half of the bet alongside that of his mate.

Chalcedony's entire form was shaking as he found himself looking around the room at the people that had fallen to whatever it was that was in the food. It was obviously something dangerous and all that protected him from the same toxins was that he'd given away his portion of the food. Not at all a good thing though as sharing his helping had caused someone else to fall victim to whatever was happening. Something that made his heart hurt just thinking about it.
Taking a step back he was about to retreat when it world around him seemed to warp and bend, everything shifting once more so instead of the feast hall he was in some sort of game room instead. He looked around for a moment, taking in those around him, and instantly feel a desire to just leave before anything else happened. It seemed as though little had been going well thus far in this twisting, turning world. Before he could leave the gaming room though he found someone resting a hand on his arm. Turning he found himself face to face with, "Takoda?" What was he doing here? Was that idiot archer about as well?
Chal looked around for a quick moment, then back again, finding his old friend and first love encouraging him to take part in the game, that it would make him feel better. He wasn't sure about that but better that he rolled the dice first, right? To see if the game was on the up and up before he allowed Takoda to play and possibly get hurt because the game turned out to be a trap or something, "I'll go first." He said, laying down his bet.
Aylin turned her head from the Oban boy to see if there was still any food left she could have for herself, but now the table was empty now- nothing but sauce and grease stains accompanied by the occasional crust of bread, rind of fruit, or bone from meat. Then she absorbed the sight around the table- the diverse crowd fallen to the floor with remnants of their meals smeared around their mouths and hands. She turned back to the boy- crying out, “Stop!”- hoping she could prevent him from swallowing that first bite of bread, but no. Her eyes locked with this child’s as he dropped the loaf from his hands, they became dull as he grasped his head and sank to the floor, Aylin reaching for him with a sob caught in her throat. But she couldn’t reach him, could not even save him from falling as the floor swallowed him and all else in this room mercilessly and with the same ravenous hunger they had all felt.
She sat there in this void of darkness and sobbed, she couldn’t save him; could she have if she were a spirit worker? Then she felt a cool breeze play upon her face and hands; she lifted them from eyes red with tears to see dim light falling on her surroundings now, shadows cast over tables and faces around her. They all seemed so absorbed in what was happening on the tables around them, a gentle whirr and clicking accompanying each table. Aylin stood to see what was happening, and saw the spinning wheels and glimmering beads throwing the dim light in flashes onto the unfamiliar crowd’s faces. One face did look familiar though- it was Marlaya- her closest friend in childhood. Aylin rushed over to her, and as she moved the scent of smoke that haunted her filled her nostrils. Grabbing hold of Marlaya’s arm, she whispered urgently, “Marla! We have to go, get out of here before the fire comes.” But Marlaya turned to her unfazed, “Oh, Aylin, you have to try this game! Come on, the round just ended, let’s place bets.” Aylin looked at her friend, baffled by her words being ignored, “Marla, didn’t you hear me? We have to go, we don’t have time to chance our luck!” She knew the flames were there, they always were, just on the edges and ready to engulf her dreams into nightmares. She tried to tug on Marlaya’s arm, take her with her, but Marlaya ignored her, instead throwing in all her chits and pushing her luck- thoroughly engrossed in the game. thoroughly engrossed in the game.
