Maybe if it had been on a different evening or with a different alien, there could have been opportunity for chicken. With taters. And greens.

And waffles.

But tonight was not that night - not with all the trouble brewing, whether it was being caused in the dark depths of Metallia's Kingdom or caused by the plotting surrounding them and the mysterious stranger.

Duhr nodded her head in agreement to Remus' commentary, despite the fact she had absolutely no clue where Mordor was or what Mount Doom could possibly be. Nicknames for the Negaverse hideout, maybe? Made sense, at least.

As Caedus addressed the group once more, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck begin to prickle. From the way he was talking, he wasn't in agreement to letting some little covert-ops group sneak in and do whatever it was they were all plannin' on doing. No, he wanted the entire group or none at all.

Yep. Mighty suspicious.

One hand rose up to scratch the neck-tingles away as she gave it some thought. Some deep thinkin'. After a minute, one leg shifted and her head tilted back towards her new companion. "So - say we all throw our lot in with this fella, yeah? What exactly are we supposed to do? Ah ain't never killed nothing aside monsters - are we gonna go on some sort of killin' spree or something, with the Negas?"

Eyebrows furrowed at the thought. Sure, it would end all these sorts of problems, but would that make them better than the Bad Guys to begin with? All these thoughts, all these decisions 'n crap. Someone else needed to shine some light on this problem, before she got a whopper of a headache.

"He said Metallia wasn't a person, right? Before? How're we supposed to handle it, then?"

Centisima had handed over his crystal at the same time as Sedna and was mostly silent as he watched the proceedings. Everything he had gathered from his conversation with Caedus and from what he was seeing of the group now, the idea of storming the Negaverse was suddenly a lot less exciting. It wasn’t that he was afraid, he just wasn’t an idiot. They had zero discipline and nobody in charge. They would be a magical rabble flailing about hoping to hit something.

"If we help, we’re going in last." Not to mention he’d realized that power-wise he was at the lowest end of the food chain. There were some serious heavy hitters here. "If we help at all. I think you were right. This is a bad idea."

Virgo

Virgo frowned. "I have a daughter," she said, sharply. "I was never going into the heart of the Negaverse's power."

She smoothed her hands down her skirt. "You may call me if you need me," she said, looking from Celsus to Bifrost. "I won't be disappearing again." Then to Castor: "There was a message I had for you. Your brother is badly injured." The look she gave him was meaningful. "I'm going to see him now. If you'd like to come?"

Gevaudan, knight of Ganymeade

He did not refrain from lifting his hands up slightly like, duh, TIHS was what I was getting at. Caedus showed support for his previous plan, which seemed to be all that was needed to change the opinions of many others.

"Then.." He started, glad that his own instincts and assumptions were ones in line with Caedus' thoughts, "...a big group it is. Anyone who doesn't want to kill showed be placed in the center for protection and to see the least amount of close combat." He paused, glancing at Aegir. "...if... Everyone is okay with that suggestion."

"Since we know the layout, should ever be positioned up front to guide the group. It's better to get there as soon as we can than per Ceadus' concerns.

Dallol, Squire of Uranus

"I thought you said that you were going to be busy with an assortment of assignments and projects." Dallol muttered, letting Corinth's fingers work on relieving the tension in her shoulders for a while more before pulling away. What the ******** do these clowns think that they are doing? She fumed quietly, for a moment debating if she should leave before this disagreement worsened and made the meeting an absolute waste of her time.

"No we don't. And getting into heated arguments like that instead of putting aside our differences to work together doesn't help at all really. It'll prove to be our own undoing even before the Negaverse gets to us." She vented, mumbling her appreciation for the higher powers that be when the arguments didn't escalate further from there.

Shooting Caedus a look that was something between appreciation, suspicion and embarrassment, she settled for a nod when he produced a green crystal this time from his robes. The crystal did exactly what he claimed it was capable of, a tingling sensation that clouded her ability to pick up on the energy signatures of the senshis and knights who were in the immediate vicinity. "An hour it is then. These crystals will be very helpful when we get there. Hopefully most, if not all, of the people here will be able to get their act together."

Cocking her head to the side, she glanced at Corinth with a quirked brow. "I take it that you'll want to be a part of this?"

Super Elpis // Sailor Ferris // Miss Kitty

Elpis had been quiet while Caedus spoke, mind roiling with thoughts even when Ferris nudged her for response, and after a minute, she dipped her head to Caedus.

"I'm happy to accept any plan so long as it's efficient. But the gateway will still leave you vulnerable. Do you have plans for your own protection, or would you prefer if someone remained for security?" Th Super Senshi asked thoughtfully. She didn't doubt others would team up, but there was a chance she migfht be alone - a normal habit by now. Sailor Ferris, for her part, crept out, shrugging a bit.

"What about a support side too? Do we know how to heal? Who can heal? That kind of thing. I mean - this is the big bad we're after right? Like some of that 80's metal malarky? What do we do? We're not exactly Ripley here. Or Luke Skywalker. Well, there might be a Skywalker."

Elpis rolled her eyes as Miss Kitty moved, weaving and leaping to her senshi's shoulders before sitting to look to Caedus, nodding as she delivered her crystal and then looked to Ferris.

"Child, I'm sure we'll find something. Are you so helpless you need orders?" Miss Kitty huffed as she moved positions to sit on her senshi's head, looking about the crowd idly. While Elpis didn't see her trainees, Miss Kitty wasn't looking, instead sniffing.

"So many senshi..."

Cordoba

Cordoba blinked, creeping forwards as she swallowed, and nodded to Caedus, still wary more of attacking - she she had to right? Right?!

"Do you know if there will be anyone we should watch for Mister Caedus?" Because she hoped not. She really, really hoped not. Still, the Mercury knight shifted nervously, not sure of what other use she was without her turntables or similar. Not much, she supposed, unless she turned her radio voice on. .... Would that work?

Stonehenge

The Polaris knight lidstened, reading the crowd silently as he glanced about. Many were still mistrustful, leery and suspect, while others less wary and more eager. Stonehenge himself seemed aloof to it all, mouth twitched in a frown. Could this group jope to do anything?... He was glad his sister and cousins weren't present for this, and the Polaris knight finally looked around once more to approach Caedus himself, looking to the visitor with an almost bored, yet... FAR too self assured expression.

"What I should like to know, sir," Stonehenge drawled. "Is what we might risk fighting. I'm afraid aside monsters I'm fairly inexperienced as I'm sure some are, and I'd rather not be given marching orders to my own death. You do understand, I hope. I merely seek understanding."

His tone was calm and measured as he managed to feel no fear, and instead hummed after, rocking on his heels. Were any here not of Polaris competent either?

The Space Cauldron

The above lot are zergswarming with questions, some tactics, some more skittish, and one is a butt.

Sailor Alsafi

Alsafe blinked, listening to the discussion before crossing her arms. A fight? What? Who? Well, someone hd to know and the newly awakened senshi motioned, frustratedly.

"HEY! PEOPLE! ANYONE HAVE TH' MANNERS TA TELL ME WHAT THIS NEGASHIT IS OR AM I GONNA BE BEATING IT OUTTA SOME FACES!?" The Senshi snapped. Oh, she was not happy. Not one bit, and she huffed, looking around. "Anyone? Anyone up to not being s**t?!"

Corinth, Page of Neptune

Corinth kept his voice down, and as Dallol moved forward lowered his head to speak to her. "Keep calm, take a deep breath. This isn't any different than any other meeting aside from our guest," He said with a soft smile. "Let them fight with each other, we'll just pick up the pieces like we always do, right?"

At her question, he nodded his head. "If you're going, I'm going, I think we've established that little fact have we not? I might not be as strong as you, but I'm going to do whatever I have to to ensure we both make it out of there in one piece."

They were a team.

Erebus, Squire of Saturn

Thankfully the fighting seemed to be dying down now. He was glad when Sabine spoke up about maybe having someone stay behind with Caedus, having been thinking the same thing himself. He also agreed with Gevaudan's earlier idea that the ones who were more noncombatant should be in the middle of the fighters.

Then Venice caught his attention again and he looked at him and gave a nod. "I understand." And Erebus did, he wouldn't have wanted to leave to another country when this sort of thing went on. "You're welcome to stay at my place after this if it gets too late." He said with a small smile. It grew a tiny bit and he gave a nod when the other said they needed to focus. "Agreed."

Then Caedus spoke up again and he was glad that he shot down the idea of waves. He however had mixed feelings when the ancient one said he would be delayed in returning home since there wasn't enough energy to open the portal and to teleport. On one hand it meant they had this opportunity but on the other it meant that the man was stuck away from his home longer. "After this I will be happy to help you out so you can return." He spoke up and gave Caedus a small smile.

When Gevaudan laid out the plan for keeping the support in the middle of the group and then asked if it was okay, he spoke up for it. "I think that plan is probably the best way to go."

Things seemed to be gearing up, the conversation more serious - were they doing this? Mont Blonc seemed to think he should go, but Aegir didn’t agree - he couldn’t see putting themselves in the maw of the beast on just the hope that they could strike a death blow; too much was uncertain and he didn’t like it at all. If this were a movie or book, I’d say that almost everyone going in wouldn’t come back out. It was far too easy to see both Monty and Thyrmr savaged and broken, while he could only look on. His morbid train of thought was interrupted when he caught Chibi Ambrosia waving at him, a small smile lifting the corners of his mouth as he waved back before stepping forward once more.

“Striking at Metallia is a worthy goal, but we’re talking about a being that’s been around for thousands of years, growing stronger and stronger. There’s a really low chance of success, if we do this. It’s basically a suicide mission and anyone that’s going to step through Caedus’ portal needs to understand that they might not come back. And that we might die for nothing.” Aegir’s voice was clear, directed at any that wanted to listen - were inclined to listen - because he was pretty sure that there were those in the crowd that didn’t realize just how slim their chances were, how dire the consequences.

Hearing Virgo’s voice, the mention of her daughter and the notice that she would not be going into the breach made the growing knot in his stomach ease a bit; if nothing else she knew he was there and might go in, could take care of Tribble if necessary. Or he could just text Aleksy. Quenton. I should at least ping Thraen, if we’re going. He might want to be in on this….but then again, wouldn’t he be here? Today was proving to be very stressful and the super of Silence didn’t much appreciate it; what happened if he died? It’s probably a trap of some sort…I doubt we’ll even get near Metallia. But I can’t let them go in alone. If I die, I die trying to protect everyone.

Gevaudan glanced at him and Aegir caught it, giving the knight a little nod; still calm and offering information that might help this impromptu operation. He did have another suggestion, since he knew that many senshi didn’t have offensive magics. “I think it would be a good idea for those of us with support magic to stick in the middle, offensive capabilities to the outside with heavy hitters in the front.” That Aegir had support magic and should place himself towards the middle wasn’t something he’d be sharing - no, if he were going, he’d be in the thick of it, wielding a shield like a sword once more. The blond looked back at Monty and Thyrmr again, wanting so badly to grab both of them and lock them away but knowing that each man had to make his choice - everyone there did. He just hoped they’d survive their decisions.

"I can keep my eyes open as best I can. I'll try my best. Should I.....be with anyone while this happens? There is a lot of talk on who should be where." He asked, looking at her as he looked out and listened to Caedus and others speak.

It was as his eyes move around as the gathering crowd that he spotted another cat perched on someone's shoulders and tilted his head slowly.

There were few things that would give Castor a reason to pause.

Yet when Virgo mentioned his brother- the prince's entire frame shifted with acute swiftness. His wings locked behind him, his muscled tensed, and dark blue eyes looked to Virgo.

Tan skin paled to a stark white, and twice his mouth opened and shut before he managed a single shuddering word.
"Yes."
It would be obvious to any who looked that the mention of his sibling, injured, had more than alarmed the Prince of Hail. It had terrified him.

To any who knew him as Elzo would know the story of Marlo and how he'd nearly been pulled off life support during the coma that was Tartaros. They would know the scare of loss and how close the siblings were and how deeply woven they had become to each other's lives.
To any who knew Elzo, who knew Castor, would know if one thing might pull him from a fight, it would be his brother.
More, it would be the fear of losing his brother that would drive the royal to abandon everything for the sake of a single person, the one person that held perhaps that last fragments of his ties to a world he no longer claimed as his home.

Sailor Remus, Senshi of Regolith

He had turned his head to listen as the cloaked figure spoke, Remus's expression light and easy. Not for the first time, he wondered whether or not they should actually listen; it seemed ridiculous to trust Voldemort over there so easily.

Especially since he seemed to be telling them that he was going to stay here and relax and probably have himself a beer or something.

Remus let out a snort. "I've never killed anyone either, but it sounds kinda like they're just tossing us all to the wolf's den, doesn't it? Like, 'okay, here you go, have some ******** energy crystals and oh, by the way, they're gonna explode on you at any second.' "

He glanced sideways at the senshi again and laughed.

"No idea. Maybe he expects us to just throw rocks at it while he Netflix and chills out here."

Super Sailor Thrymr, Senshi of the Southern Lights

He looked at Mont Blonc beside him, and Aegir beside Monty and thought that, if nothing else, at least his team was still intact and with him. Not that Thrymr had believed this to be a good idea to walk straight into what appeared to be a situation that was fraught with danger. But he had to believe that there was a good chance of being successful, otherwise they would never get anywhere fast.

Thrymr slipped his fingers around Mont Blonc's and gave his hand a little squeeze, biting his lip as he looked around him to where Aegir stood.

"If you go in," he said to the pair of them, his brow drawing together in concern, "I will go with you. I know I'm not - not the most experienced in fighting, and I don't wish to fight, but..." His expression softened. "I don't wish for either of you to go in on your own, and I wish to do what I can to help."

Celsus Knight of Chronos

His head was hurting, spinning in circles and he did not agree with what was happening, no matter what else others may have thought. It didn't matter that the plan was now voiced by Caedus, or considered by others. It was a foolish, reckless, dangerous plan, and even through his haze of twisted and melted thoughts, Celsus could not support it.

But it did not mean that he would stop others, because he knew he had no will to do that, and no strength to try and convince people that to trust someone who had given them no reason to do so was simple idiocy.

Denebola was still stubbornly saying she would remain with him, and Celsus cast her a look before his went both to Corvus and then to Virgo again. Their support meant a great deal to him - or it would have, had he been in the right state of mind.

"You should not give up everything for me, you should go and help the others," he told them - at least, Corvus and Denebola, because hearing that Virgo had a child made him falter in adding her to that. Celsus bit his lip, his chest aching, and he turned to look back at Caedus.

"I told you once I hoped I was wrong about you," he said quietly. "I still hope that, but this is too easily accepted; you staying out here while we risk our lives inside sounds like a suicide mission that you expect us to follow without question."

So. From what she was catching from her late arrival and outside vantage point, this cloaked figure was going to make them a portal into the strong hold of the enemy and let everyone just... watlz in there. And supposedly, take out the big baddie that ran the whole show.

Yeah, because that sounded like the key to a long, happy life. No thanks.

Eros was actually kinda glad Puck wasn't here for once. She could just imagine that he'd want to go, and then what would she have done? He could die down there, fighting with the rest of them, and leave her high and dry up here. She'd survive, of course, but... it was more than that. The thought of losing Puck like that... it made her feel sort of desperate.

Whatever happened here, she was curious about it, wanted to watch, but that was the extent of it. She was not getting more involved than that.

Lacing her hands behind her head, Eros rocked back on her heels, her lips pursed as she considered the voice talking aoo through the crowd.

Having turned his crystal in Cetus had been looking for his cousins group, for Phact's group. When he finally did find the group the senshi of kappa headed over and flashed a smile at them all, golden eyes seeking to meet each members eyes.

"Looks like this is it. What do you all say to dinner after this?" He questioned. For once unable to remain so pessimistic, not when they were facing death as such a real possibility. He had to try and be positive to help them all, himself included, even if he wasn't sure they all would make it out. It wasn't because anyone in the group was weak but rather because of where they were going, the unknown factors, and just the general fight they were about to enter into.

"Dinner on Phact sound like a good idea?" He asked, golden eyes flashing over to the groups leader of sorts. It was best to keep hopes and emotions high, to have everyone positive, and if he had to joke around a bit he would. If they went in thinking poorly they would be done for, or at least ran a higher risk of such. "Chinese food? I know a good place." He knew a lot of good places actually, and he honestly wouldn't mind a good meal after this.

"Maybe some Korean also?" He asked, golden eyes drifting to Seung and giving him a slight bowing of his head. "Hyung." Using the others language, to be polite, as he watched the others dark eyes blink once before the bow was returned and a smile was given to him.

GUARDIAN ASH

Something was going on just outside of the city and the Silver Lady was quite put out that it happened to be on the other side of the city from where she was when she felt it.

Small cat legs did not make for fast traveling and wouldn't you know it? There wasn't a single senshi to catch a ride with and she was forced to hoof it the whole say. By the time she made it to the hill covered with powered people, she was just a bit tired and more than a little grouchy. What on Earth was going on here? There were so many people... but despite all the power signatures she could feel, not a single nega anywhere near that she could sense.

The grey cat wove between and around ankles, searching for familiar shoes. Surely with so many senshi and knights, one of her own was here. If she could just find one, she would have both a shoulder for a better vantage point on the proceedings AND the cliff notes of what had happened so far.

Shoulders and bodies and legs blocked view of whatever was going on that everyone was staring at, sadly. She couldn't even get a decent look as she darted around one young man and then between the heeled boots of a young lady. She heard a startled noise and a call from behind her, but Ash ignored it. Sorry, Darling! No time to stop and chat.

Then... There! A pair of purple leggings wrapped in ribbon. Above that, a tight body suit and gloves with fur cuffs. Oh Lucky Stars! Aegir, and if she remembered correctly, that was Mont Blanc and Thyrmr with him.

"Aegir!" Ash called as she darted between the last people between her and one of her own, taking a running jump to make it to his shoulder and pull herself up by her paws hooked into his fur collar. "Goodness, that was a long way! I was all the way across the city when I felt... whatever it was. What's going on? Who is that? Why is there no one dampening all your auras? This is very dangerous..."

She scolded as she rubbed her face against his cheek, uncaring if she happened to be interrupting anything. She was The Silver Lady, after all, and they had started without her!
