Trunip smiled he thought he had failed his test, but he had actually done alright, which made him really happy. He was at least good at one thing.

After a stressful day, the news of stargazing with the class was a welcomed one. It was different and something to look forward to. Of course he shook his head to Hailey as she gave a brow waggle his way, unable to help a small laugh after. He made some suggestions of what they needed to bring with and settled on some things before class was over.
Arm wrapped around his girlfriend as they showed up to the field together, Malachi waved to a couple classmates -- or at least tried to as the blanket draped over his arm got in the way a bit. It was nice out. Chilly, but the skies were perfect for their late night assignment. As Hailey took off to be one of the first to look through the telescopes, he laughed and waited nearby so they could talk while she found herself amazed by the different things she was seeing.
When it got later, and Hailey was nestled against him on the ground, he stroked her hair gently before peering through the telescope just one more time. This had to be the best assignment. Everyone, including his tired girlfriend were pretty ready to head back to their rooms for the night, so he helped pull the tired geist to her feet, and said goodnight to Mys. Grey and classmates before getting her back to the dorm room.

Emma had thoroughly enjoyed the beach, much to their surprise. They'd expected it to be nothing but a messy adventure where they'd be cold, get sand in their shoes, and go back to the academy as bored as could be. But, even if they ended up with sand in their shoes, they'd had a delightful time finding shells and building sand castles with all of the other students in their class. Everything about the beach had exceeded their expectations! "Oh, my favorite thing?" They mused, looking down to the blank piece of paper in front of them. "Uhm... Let's see.""My favorite thing about the beach was finding shells. I had no idea that there were so many different kinds of shells, too. Round ones, flat ones, wavy ones, pink ones, gray ones, it was so hard to choose which ones to bring home! I think I'm going to add them to a sculpture I'm making, I just need to figure out where and how!"

Autumn had completely forgotten what the beach was like. She knew that her daddies had taken her there when she was little and had a few memories of that trip, but everything was blurred after all the years of being away. At least she knew now that she really didn't like getting sand wedged in her tail, or in her food. It was hard to enjoy anything with a mouth full of bologna and dirt. She was honestly happy when they returned to the academy, but less so when she was reminded of the assignment. She really hadn't found the trip too enjoyable, so it was difficult for her to think of a favorite thing. Still, she couldn't return an empty assignment. "I wasn't a big fan of the beach, but if I had to pick something, I'd say I liked the smell of the ocean the best. It was fresh and salty, easy to breathe. It kind of reminded me of this perfume I smelled once at a shop my mom took me to. They had a bunch of really shiny bottles lined up and one of them had a shell painted on it. Maybe someone enchanted it to smell like the ocean? I dunno, but I don't think I want to go back to the beach any time soon to find out for sure."

The little bakeneko had read of the beach in some picture books and it just looked too good to be true. It must have just been a made up place for the sake of the stories she had read, but no. It was real, and it wasn't that bad. Well, not the water part. The constantly moving, cold water. Maybe if it had been warm it would have been better, but it just didn't sit right with her. For the first moments they were at the beach her fur bristled up really big as she tried to comprehend what was going on. A lot of the kids were really excited and she just wanted to hide and stay next to the teacher. With a little courage and a thirst for adventure, she managed to make her way out onto the beach. The water was the first thing she tried her hand at and that wasn't a good idea because as soon as it washed up to her, she ran away. With some time, Margret did wet her paws and it wasn't her cup of tea. But the sand was a different story. "I really like sand..." She had spent a lot of her time building things as high as she could or making little sand animals. "And the shells I found were really pretty! They were probably the best." Margret had brought home the prettiest for herself and her siblings.

Sasori frowned, they had very mixed feelings about going to the beach. The idea about experiencing new things excited them, but the idea of being in a crowd of people that they didn't know...? The whole idea made their stomach twist and turn. They wanted so badly just to run and hide, maybe the teacher wouldn't notice they weren't there? Their mother had done her best to try to ease Sasori's tensions about the trip, and they thought that the talk had quelled most of their fears, but now that it was getting close to time to go, they could feel the twist in their stomach again and felt like they were going to jump out of their skin. They wanted so badly to ask if they could stay behind due to feeling sick, but if they did that they wouldn't pass Science, so they did their best to grab their little sack and fall in line with the rest of the students.
While there, Sasori couldn't help but stare at the sky and the sun. It had probably been more sun than they had ever experienced, in the end they were glad they had gone and couldn't wait to write up their paragraph for school.
"My favorite part about the beach was probably being outdoors! I don't get to go outdoors a lot during the day, Mommy is usually busy or I have school. The sun is a lot brighter than I imagined! It made a cool glittery effect on the waves, even though it was a little hot. I liked that I was able to stretch my wings. There was so much room! I'm used to there being trees everywhere and I don't get to practice my flying too much because of it. So it was pretty good to be able to move around and see the rocks and sand. I even found a cool rock! It has little flecks of color in it. Seeing new places was the best!"

Muninn hadn’t known what to expect when he was told the entire class was going on a fieldtrip to the beach. He was pretty sure that his mom thought he would have a fun time since she had signed the permission slip and Muninn did trust Yue. It still didn’t mean that he wasn’t really nervous. He didn’t do too well around large bodies of water after all. However when the eventually got there Muninn had decided that beach was absolutely amazing and he was probably going to make his mom take him again as soon as he had his next break. He absolutely loved the cooler temperature, the different wildlife and all the neat things that were possible. He was soo busy exploring everything he could that no one had actually commented on his mutations the entire trip. He was glad they got to go. Now how to sum it up on paper. I really had fun, although I have to admit my favorite thing was all the different wild life. I loved collecting all the different shells and having all the different animals pointed out when we visited the tide pools. The anemones where really fun to touch.

Leto had been to the beach before. It was one of his Parent’s favorite places to go so he was happy that their fieldtrip had taken them there. So being of fairish skin and red hair Leto made sure that he had tons of sunscreen, enough sunscreen that he was going to come back without sunburn. He hadn’t succeeded but it hadn’t been the peeling mess that some of the other students had gotten. It had been fun to explore and make sand castles at the beach, and he hadn’t minded all the sand that got in his wings. It was hard to imagine people hating the fieldtrip although he knew a couple of his classmates had absolutely hated it. Still he couldn’t wait to go again.
I absolutely loved going. The best part was definitely the waves. I love the sound they make when they crash up on the beach. It’s also pretty fun to play tag with them and see who gets wet. The water was also my favorite part because it brought up a lot of different objects to the shore that we got to explore like the seaweed and the different shells.

Frey was extremely worried. They had already done pretty poorly in math even if the score had been passing at the end but they weren’t really good at science. Unfortunately this came back to bite Frey on the butt, he was so nervous he kept messing up answers or blanking out when it came to writing them. So he wasn’t too surprised when his test came back and it was below failing. Well he knew the drill go back to his dorm ignore all his friends and just study in hopes that he could eventually pass this test. He didn’t have high hopes. Either Iah or Frey

Frey got his test scores back and felt like crying. This was an even worst score than last time. With a sigh he gathered up his books and went back to studying. This was a clear indication that he shouldn’t have anything to do with science any time in his future.

Frey really did cry this time. All the studying had actually paid off and he felt like almost framing his test, he didn’t as it was a bit ridiculous. First thing he was going to do when he got back to his dorm was apologize about his snappy behavior to his roommate and then collapse and sleep for a week. This whole test week had drained him, and he was already pretty monotone in his emotions.

Iah… didn’t care that apparently the universe wanted him to be some sort of historian. He rather disliked history. He sighed looking at his test. Well he did have connections with rather non law abiding organizations… not by choice mind you, but their boss seemed rather nice. Maybe if he failed science he would go join up. He was probably going to cry first though. Ah well off to the books again.

This was getting ridiculous. He liked science. He was always studying different things. In fact he wanted to be a doctor. He knew it was going to be hard but results like these…. Iah threw the newest test, now ripped up into pieces, in the garbage. If he couldn’t get even a simple midterm, when he had been here studying and taking notes the entire time… yeah sure it was negative but all through out this week his test scores had been horrible. Well besides social studies, but he hadn’t even tried for that test as… he mentioned he hated history.
