If he felt Maebe's discomfort, he didn't show it. It was important to just focus on the one in front of him, just as it had been important to focus on only Caly.

"I do," Dawson replied earnestly. "More than you'd got t'see." A shadow of a smile passed over his weary face. "But neither've ya'll don' strike me s'the kind t'die in yer sleep, y'know? I think he'd rather be up n' with us up 'til the very end, no matter how bad it gets. N' you'd know better than most how tough this sunovabitch is. He wouldn' forgive me f'I jus' let him sleep it all away."

He eyed the limp form of the real Chris. It was eerie, though he wasn't sure he had the right to be weirded out by it. After all, he was the impostor here. But he had the tattoo with Dawson. He'd made the moves. He'd done something that the real Chris hadn't gotten to.

He was still real, in some ways.

"I'm gonna die? For him?"

That was the rub. "Yeah," Dawson replied, unable to think of any other way to put it and clearly bothered by it. As if in tune with the clone's thoughts, though, he thumped his chest where the tattoo lied. "But you won' get fergotten." It sounded so cheesy, even for someone like him. He chuckled weakly and shook his head at himself.

"I'll do better by him," he offered. "He's family. All of 'em are. We can build the lighthouse again, man, we can rebuild alla it with time n' survive. We'll be okay." (It's okay, he has to repeat to himself.)

The way she was feeling him around during their hug made him realize she was probably checking for untold wounds. It was confirmed when she looked him in the eye, it didn't seem as a friendly manner but more in a medical professional way. She was looking for something. Milo simply laughed it off, especially with her squeak. Her hands didn't get too far from his as he took them into his own before they pulled away from his face.

"Awesome," for the injured hunter getting the help he needed and for them both being alright. "You got some too?" He questioned, glancing at her hands in his. There didn't seem to be any sign of crystals on her hands like his, maybe her's were elsewhere. But it was kind of nice to know it wasn't just some freak accident with him. Whatever this was. Seemed to be helpful.

"Oh, right, we should get going." Milo realized. He paused before he took a step and then grinned, "think I could get us there faster." Before she could say anything, least protest, the Sun reached down and hooked an arm under his knees and hoisted her up bridal style. "Hold on, Noemi-chan!"

And he was off, the pair of them towards the remains of the life labs. Oh yeah, he was going to take advantage of this power up while he could. Who knew how long it would last.

She was totally dying of embarrassment. First she had gone super nurse mode, to make sure he was okay, then she had started blushing and squeaking? Like what nurse did that? WHAT GIRL DID THAT? She should be okay with Milo! Her heart shouldn't race all the time!

"I did!" She wiggled a hand free and lifted her hair to the spot where her wound had been, a small faint line of blue crystals had sealed the cut, like putting stitches in or liquid glue.

"G...Going?" She stared at him, wondering what he meant by him getting them there faster...was he going to fly? Was he teleporting? She didn't even have time to protest as he lifted her up, though she did have time to cling to his neck and tried really hard not to be...Noemi in his arms.

It was okay right. Friends could pick each other up (though she considered him so much more then a friend), and...and carry each other....all princess style. That was normal right?

Oh god don't look at her face. That was all she asked. Do not look at the tomato face. When she got back to the field, all she was going to do was infirmary work. Just throw herself back into it.

Cameron had been helping Claude remove rubble to find her brother when both of Abbi's text came within each other. Yes she was safe.

No she wasn't? The second text startled him a little, before his eyes narrowed over glasses. He shoved them up, tucked the phone back in his pocket and patted Claude's butt, "Oi Pirate Princess. I'll be back to help you in a bit. Got a urgent SOS."

He didn't really leave much time for the woman to answer cause first, he was ditching her and second, he hit and run dat a** while he did so. He'd be paying for it later.

He exited out of the building, finding the back section of them and trying to spot some short ginger in fancy lace. Last time he had seen her was when she snuck out of his bed.

"You look like s**t." was the first thing that came out, when he leaned down at her side, only finding her as she stood out among rubble. "What the ******** you doing...or did out here Abbi?"

[Minipets Lab]

Dakota left, and it was like some anchor of reason and logic left with him. Because it did. Because Dakota was the anchor of reason and logic and even though he was just outside the room, Molly felt like she was once again cast out into the confusing ocean.

She stared at the cave system with wide eyes and an equally wide open mouth.

What--

Was...this something she could let the Canon Cats loose in? Was...what...where did it go!? That was the important question. Where. Just because it was open didn't mean it was safe. "...Da...DAKOTA!?" Molly called back over her shoulder..."...Th-there's a CAVE behind this wall!?" She fretted anxiously, and bit her bottom lip. "I...I'm going to go check it out, okay!? PLEASE WATCH THE CANON CATS!"

That being said, she shot a quick fleeting glance as her precious babies and started to venture into the cave to explore it, her weapon at the ready.

Infirmary Remains

Cameron was totally going to get something later for that hit and run a** pat. It was tucked away into the corner of her mind for later--much later. When they weren't in the middle of a building holding on by a few shreds. And when her brother was safe.

She still couldn't see him, and she couldn't hear him, and her normally calm voice kicked up a few notches along with the panic. "Lex!?" Standing there looking about was getting her absolutely no where, and even if starting to pull back some rubble was equally futile, at least she'd be busy. Without further hesitation, she started to pull back pieces of rubble.

[Minipets Lab]

What the ******** were these two doing?

Dakota had 0 interest in minipets, like at all, but Oliver and Molly were risking their life for a bunch of creatures that weren't even really LIVING. They had priorities here, and minipets could be replaced. If Julie taught him anything, the one good thing they were good for was food effects. That was it.

He had Oliver scooped up in one arm, and the box of collars that the boy had been mumbling about in the other. There was directions for placing them on the creatures and he made a loud groaning noise. Suddenly Molly's TWO cats to save was now.....99. So all of them.

And from the looks of it, Molly's desctruction had opened a wall and she was heading off into it, leaving the mist hunter with a kid and animals. Two things...he really didn't care for. At all. Not even a little.

How was Dakota suppose to get revenge on the people doing this with the sack of flour he was carrying?

Somewhere... Basement?

Uh oh.

Kyle felt the ground shift beneath his feet and immediately quickened his pace, not at all wanting to stick around when it gives way entirely eventually. "... leave me. Save yourself at least. This will all amount to nothing if both of us die here." Pulling back a little to give Cheryl a long and hard look, he tightened his grip around her, stubborn still despite the very real possibility of imminent danger and even death. "No can do. We have our orders and I refuse to leave this place empty-handed."

As if in response to that, there was a rumbling sound in the distant and then the ground disappeared much to their horror. Clinging tightly onto him, the huntress screamed. < You probably should have listened to her. > Semaj remarked dryly in his mind with a sigh. < And leave her to die? You know that I can't do that Semaj. > Kyle sent back to the incubus, wincing at the screaming as he looked around for something anything that could help. Not that it was going to make a difference since he was going to have to abandon Cheryl in order to regain the use of his hands. If he managed to survive this... fall somehow, he was pretty sure he was going to be deaf no thanks to his charge.

Joy.

And just as he was about to abandon all hope of actually surviving this, there was a burst of light and then the horrible feeling of free falling into empty space stopped, replaced entirely by a gradual descent to the ground that was 20 feet beneath him. Cheryl was sobbing tears of joy and relief right now. Sinking to his knees, Kyle looked around and above him, trying to regain his bearings as he tried to fathom what had actually just happened back there. "... s**t. I actually thought for a moment there that we were never going to make it. Was that your doing Semaj?"

< Nope. What in the name of Jack just happened Kyle? >

"If that wasn't you, then who...?"

He his head away as Dawson's thumped his chest. He shouldn't have attachment. Not to Dawson or Chel or anyone. He didn't belong to them or vice versa. And yet he had all the memories telling him otherwise.

"It's gonna get destroyed again. Over and over like a ******** cycle. That's what this life is. You try to rebuild and something crushes it again. I was going to save you." He didn't even sound emotional about it, now. Just deadened. He wasn't even sure there was ever a chance for him to save anyone, really.

He stepped forward, because if he didn't die here he was going to die out there, at the hands of Chel and Jack. Either deliberately or peripherally crushed by the magnitude of their warring a*****e-ness. He'd rather choose to give Dawson this.

"What do I do?"

His expression fell at the clone's reaction, but then he supposed it was a bittersweet memory now. A tie that wouldn't mean anything once one end was severed. But Dawson always did have the unfortunate habit of remember every remotely significant figure in his lifetime, even the ones that weren't exactly human. It wasn't any wonder his heart bled so easily with that many names and faces and moments bloating it.

"Yer savin' him," he said quietly. "That matters more."

Unsure of exactly what was required, Dawson gestured him closer and hoped that proximity was all that was necessary to kickstart the process. The faster this happened, the faster he could put it behind him--and the closer he would be to finally just letting himself collapse.

Another crisis. If there was one thing that Wyatt McCoy had been known for lately, it was not making himself known at a time of crisis. He was the one to hide in his dorm, his shotgun at the ready, only prepared to defend himself. But this time was different, if for no other reason than frustration with the lack of peace. His weapon in tow, he stormed out of the dorms in just his boots, briefs, coat and ever-present hat and rushed over to the damaged Life building.

He wanted revenge on whatever was causing this disaster, bursting to what remained of the pod room at full speed to check for any survivors or perpetrators.

Basement Lab level 1

Putting his eyes on Peyton - who seemed relatively unharmed, if disheveled and…well, best to not think on it just yet - brought a relieved smile to Andrew Miller’s face. The fact that she immediately set about ordering him around was even more of a relief and he gave her a saucy wink before doing exactly as she’d asked, ignoring her commentary on the infirmary in favor of calling to the trapped woman so he could locate her. Another rumble of muted noise and shifting debris came through before he managed to find his quarry. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m here, I’ll get you out. Just try to stay calm and let me know if something I do causes pain.”

Mostly it was cement, crumbling with a few bits of rebar threaded through and some insulation, but at least two large pieces were weighing down on the lighter stuff. Even so, it didn’t take Andy long before he’d excavated the captive and helped her up onto her feet; one ankle was swollen and she was bleeding and scraped up, but the Infirmary would take care of that. Well…someone that wasn’t him would have to see to her wounds, Andy didn’t have any real first-aid skills save for the most basic and the damned building still seemed likely to fall down around their ears. More important to get out than bandaid anyone. “Get out, quick as you can. The stairs should still be okay.” He gestured to the brunette and clasped her shoulder gently. “Go on, we’ll be right behind you.”

“Peyton, c’mon. Let’s get out of here before something else happens.” Andy watched but the diminutive woman seemed even less inclined to get moving than some of the concrete slabs. “Hey, ‘cmon. Pey—“ With a bit of a frown, the blond stepped through the rubble until he could grab his friend’s hand, but even insistent pressure didn’t make Peyton move. “Dammit, what’s wrong with—y’know what, ’s fine. You’re coming with me one way or another!”

And that would be how Peyton ended up hoisted over Andy’s broad shoulder with his big hand across her behind, dangling so her view was either his backside or the ground, as he headed towards the stairs - and towards air not filled with particulate.

Basement lab level 1

For a long moment Peyton had watched Andy as he worked to free whoever was trapped, but her attention wandered soon enough, head turning to glance back towards the bit of hair she could see peaking around the pile of rubble she'd had to step around to reach him. Her attention felt hyper focused, as if once she settled on something the rest was just gone. She didn't even hear the trainee's exchange with the girl after he'd freed her, nor realized she was gone until a hand was closing around her arm, pulling.

It made her blink, head snapping back around to look up at the tall young man with those eerily black eyes before he was picking her up. It was startling enough that she didn't react at first. Her stomach his his shoulder, and she planted her arms on his back to keep from simply dangling. Something what would have been a lot easier if she'd been willing to desummon Warrick, but that just didn't feel like an option. Crystals still crawled over the blades and up the handles to her hands, black and spiked.

The potential for violence hung heavy in the air. Every dark desire seemed amplified, and it was by the grace of God that Andy escaped what would have been a furious wrath. There were many people on the island that she longed to sink her blades into. They'd hurt her, time and again, and they deserved punishment. But they were not here. Andrew Miller had never wronged her. In that moment she did not know what to do with him.

To be fair, even before this she had not been sure what to do with him.

"Put me down, Miller." Authority rang through her voice, arms pushing into his back so she could send a hard glare over his shoulder.

Maybe if she hadn't been acting so peculiarly. Even Warrick seemed troubled. Anxious and worried as he rolled through his partner's influenced mind. She could hear him rumbling, but it just didn't reach her like it should have.
