"The wetter areas," she concluded. Thinking about her home, there weren't that many bodies of water. It was mostly dried out crumbly earth with random overgrowth on them. Perfect for digging out bones.
"Never seen a crane before," she repeated Sage's words. "Truly," repeating Watch's words. "I reside in the drier bit of matope. But, Never Idle. I've seen him before," she went on, going off topic now. It was obvious to her that both bucks had the experience and opportunity in seeing cranes in their lives.
Nodding her head in agreement, she sided with Watch as she felt like talking about anything besides the game might throw others off and giving them room to chose them as the next targets or something because of its irrelevancy. "Yes, when the game is over, please let me observe this crane of yours."

"I cast my vote for As The Sun Burns. I do not disagree with the weaknesses in Trouble's reasoning - but at least she responded when asked for clarification. In the first few rounds when information is scant, faulty or weak reasons can be excused, but I find an unwillingness to answer suspicions damning."

Sage blinked, looking back and forth between Kiss and Watch. "I don't see the harm - we've all already voted this round, after all. But, anything to keep a good reputation with our fellow players, I suppose," he said with a charming smile.
"I'd certainly be willing to show you some of the creatures in their natural habitat at a later date," he said to Kiss Of Death. He added a subtle emphasis on the last word, which made his intent less than subtle.

This is essential Look-See, but she voted for Arctic Waste the previous page.
He'd stayed quiet, again, because so often it was difficult for him to concentrate over the talking of so many kin at once. Story even questioned why he'd bothered to accept the invitation to come ... Or even how they'd found him. He hmm'd and haww'd as he tried to discern all of the arguments and decisions made- The previous day's choice had somehow seemed so much simpler.
"The bright bone doe, Doubleback was it, has made a valid point- There is nothing more suspicious than one who refuses to answer the allegations flung at them, but maybe when one is sure they are not guilty it seems insulting to ask."
He chewed around the words that he wanted to say, it was difficult this game.
"Still, we can't be sure that was As The Sun Burns' intent and this early into the game we need to be quick and decisive as a group. And so that is where I cast my vote."

Watch raised an eyebrow at the tree-bearded kin, "Please, if you would good sir, explain to me when I did such a thing? You as well, my lady," He said addressing Doubleback, "I gave my reason. It was a bad one, sure, but I found it better than none at all when all these guesses are nothing but random feelings with nothing to back them." He sighed, why was everyone pointing at him now? "This is a game that is intended to turn us against one another by use of uncertainties and confusion. While I do not blame you for your votes, for we must cast them, I urge you to recognize that I have presented my votes with reasons, just like everyone else."

"Round and round and round they talked getting no where fast. Then there were those who talked very little and merely observed when there was very little to observe." He circled the group as he spoke. "They still cast their votes and down they chased Trouble. They tried to be gentle, they were not comfortable with the idea of really being killers yet--they were just protecting themselves."
"When it was over, the looked at each other grimly and huddled close as they shuffled back to their grove. As they were settling down to sleep, they realized something strange: Unsung had been sleeping an awful lot and had not spoken at all for two days." Merry Wanderer, despite his cheerful continence, was displeased and he frowned at the offending player. "When they went to investigate, they found Unsung cold and dead."
"The pulled the body away and, chilled, they settled down for the night." Merry Wanderer gestured for the two now-dead players to step to the edge of the grove. "When they all fell asleep the wolves woke and started their hunt."

Unfortunately Trouble was considered too much trouble and was voted off the island.

Nightingale flushed, and her tail twitched in agitation. "I-I'm sorry," she said quickly, pawing the ground. "I meant no offense. It seems...I was...incorrect...anyway...but I'll stick to that vote nonetheless."

"No one slept well that night. They had the blood of two on their hooves and they could not be sure that they chose correctly. Then, a third of the group's number was found dead as well." Merry Wanderer began. "All this uncertainty means that they were either doing quite well, quite poorly, or somewhere in between."
"They woke, in the early morning light, once again with the scent of blood in the air. Once again, they followed, and when they arrived, this is what they saw." He seemed quite serene in his narration, his voice pitched low and calm. "Snake Flower reduced to nothing but her guts--intertwined like blood snakes on the ground."
He nodded for the doe to step away from the player group. "A collective shiver runs through the group and they cannot get away fast enough. They have wolves to find."
Snakes are clever creatures, perhaps the wolves sensed a threat.

Optimist's eyes bulged as she listened to the description of the previous night. "How do you even think of something like that?" she asked.
Then, quickly, she turned to the matter at hand. "I don't think Snake Flower's death reveals much - she was unusually quiet yesterday. And Trouble, who she voted for, is already dead..." She paused. "I think the best places to look are with what we ended with yesterday, and then...hm." Maybe they could examine the people who'd voted for Trouble, but it seemed to Optimist that most of them were the sort that were kind of just playing Follow the Leader.
So she turned first to As the Sun Burns. "I think Doubleback's right in this one - I really don't think having the same name is much of a reason. And it wasn't like you were one of the first voters - there were people who voted with at least a little bit of reasoning before you." She tilted her head. "But what you've said is true - you're far from the only one who's voted for silly reasons, and the ones that did so yesterday are just a little bit more suspicious to me. I don't think people should vote without reason - it doesn't give us anything to go off of, and it seems a lot like - well - hiding." If Optimist couldn't at least hear why someone was voting - even if she didn't agree with it - she was much more likely to think predator.
She glanced quickly at Wintershadow and Doubleback, the other two most popular votes from the previous day. She really didn't find the case against either of them convincing - Doubleback especially was contributing a lot to the game, if meanly! And the reasons that people used to accuse Wintershadow seemed almost arbitrary.
If she remembered correctly, the votes against Lost Apathy and Arctic Waste had been given without much reason, either (although Arctic Waste had been the first to vote for Wintershadow with a silly reason). And Eyes of the Night had at least begun to speak up, although she'd prefer he speak more. How else could she get to know him? She was interested in hearing more from Tipping into Madness and Bitter End, though.

"That's a funny way to put it. But I am..." Apathy paused, ears laid back. "Aren't I?"
Why was Kiss looking at her in such a way? What was bad about–
"Oh! You mean, like a wolf?" She perked up; that was easily explainable! "Wouldn't that be a little obv– Ah, no..." Hadn't she accused multiple kin of bluffing the past two days? She could easily be construed as someone that bluffed herself, whilst accusing others of the same to ward off suspicion. Perhaps it wouldn't be so easy after all.
"I was "marking" you – as a friend! Nicknames are easier to remember, especially if they've got two syllables! I suppose "Dotty" might not be the best choice, though... Let me think on it..." she said, eyes growing half-lidded. She proceeded to be stuck in two classes for six hours straight zone out until the next day.
Then, out of nowhere, "I've got it! Stripey!" She looked at Kiss hopefully. Or, perhaps the doe was not the type to want nicknames? It was absolutely essential that she know before she could focus on the game again.

Optimist's jaw fell open at Apathy's comments. Well, this made her feel a little worse about Trouble...but at least she knew she was playing the game. "Um, you know the third day has started, right?"

Apathy twitched her ears at Optimist before looking at the doe. She squinted, her head craning faaaaar back as she deliberated Optimist and her sense of time. At least, until the angle of her head allowed her to catch sight of the "dead people area," and she saw it contained more kin than before. "Wow! It did!" A pause. "Why did we vote for Snake?"

"We did not vote for Snake Flower. The predators killed her in the night," Giveforward explained to the, apparently, confused doe. Why the predators had done so, she didn't know. Had the doe hit upon something? She frowned, trying to puzzle it out.
