Milieu Dealt 6 Damage

The table didn't help. Not in the least. She was shoved to the ground with a new explosion, but energized by adrenaline, Milieu sprung over the side and lunged at Errade.

Odette dealt 0 Damage.

"Vremea?" Odette called out, pushing past the other trolls. There was so much carnage everywhere. All of these adults... they were dying before her. "Vremea!" She called out again, still searching desperately.

Vremea heals Odette for 10hp.

Suddenly, she heard her. Odette, her friend, her companion, her most trusted, loyal friend. A teary smile spread across her face as she dropped any semblance of hurt and rushed to her friend, worried and panicked. She pressed her hand on either side of her head, giving the troll a fierce kiss on the nose, showing her thankfulness that she was alive and well. She was a bit banged up, but it was nothing the medic couldn't fix-- Focusing and ignoring the throbbing pain in her head, the yellowblood pressed their heads together, focusing her attention on the others wounds instead of her own. Soon after, the glow disappeared, and instead, Vremea was left tired and spent, but happy. She was alright. Her little Odette-- she was fine... What a relief...

He was still half-blinded from the grenade he had kicked, when the bombs were detonated. He threw an arm across his face to shield his eyes. White light. His retinas burned. The ringing in his sponge clots turned silent. Then he saw the flames. It was hard to tell how fast they were approaching. His perception of time was out-of-step with the world around him. He could not help but stare.

Suddenly there was a blur as dark shape leapt in front of him. Kursha was uncomprehending. He heard the rush of air from the blast. Or maybe he felt it. The ceiling turned to meet him. He was laying on the ground. His chest heaved. For some reason he was gasping for breath.

When time began to move as normal, Kursha sat up. His nostrils flared. The scent of burning flesh. Not him though. No, it was the troll next to him. He stared at the charred figure, thoughts temporarily at a standstill. Any resemblance of a person had been burned away. It was just bones, charcoal, and cooked organs. A pile of ash and meat. He was unable to pull his eyes away. That could have been him. That could have been him.

Kursha does 1 damage.

The battle, yes, the battle. Finally emerging from his safe spot, the greenblood finally saw all the destruction first hand. Though his body ached, his mind still screamed for his guard to stay up, for his arm to swing, his hand craved vengeance.

There was something serene in the scene. Bodies littered the ground like limp rag-dolls, bits and pieces strewn here and there. The cavern looked like a war zone and for all intent and purposes it was one in a sense.

By the time he's stopped appreciating the scene, the struggle seems to have end, a victor emerged.

It was over.

Athene could only think as she watched the flames was that she was going to die. There was no escaping it, she was directly in the path of fire, and her only thought was a quiet and desperate sadness that she wouldn't be with those she cared about. It was almost in slow motion as she watched the advancing fire and, to her utter shock, a troll leap in front to shield her before everything faded out.

When she came back to, it was the corpse that greeted her, close to where Athene had been thrown. She scrambled back, shock giving way to something cold and hard in her as she looked upon her protector. Their face was unrecognizable now, but from the bits of red cloth that made up their outfit she was at least able to tell their blood color. The scarf was the biggest indicator, singed but still in decent condition, and she focused on it as she got her bearings. There was something about it that was oddly familiar, the red knit in an otherwise plain pattern and her hand went to the object and pulled it towards her. She frowned, staring at it, before flipping it over. It seemed completely ordinary, just a handmade scarf, but her eyes quickly were drawn to a tiny detail on the end of it. In a corner in green stitching was her name, something she put on everything she made.

Immediately tears rose to her eyes as she fully realized what she was holding. It was the scarf she made for that redblood so long ago, the one that had saved her during her time at the camp. It was incredibly well taken care of, only a few lose threads here and there, and she felt the tears roll down her face. He had recognized and saved her a second time now, she hadn't even known. Clutching the scarf, she got up and made an attack with her weapon. She absolutely had to win now.

Vremea heals Byakko for 10hp.

Looking to the side, the yellowblood couldn't help but notice how banged up their leader was. Looking down to the heart on her neck collar, the yellowblood pursed her lips slightly before quickly giving Odette a head pat, whispering a "i'll be back in a second" before rushing over to the rebel leader. Pinching the artifact off, she quickly pressed it against the other's body, managing to heal her enough to keep her awake for longer. Stumbling away, Vremea groaned and let out a tired whine-- Crap... she was so exhausted...

At last he turned away and moved to pick up his gun. Even as he did though, he still saw the charred figure. He was unable to shake the vision. His body moved automatically. He checked the barrel of the gun for damage. Then the firing mechanism. Everything looked to be in order. He reached for the bullet bag at his side. Mechanically, he fitted the rounds into the loading chamber. Click, click, click.

His mind was beginning to catch up. The others around him were still fighting. The danger had not yet passed. He needed to join them. He needed to fight so that they could win.

Win.

That's right. He could not afford to be wasting time in a daze. He had people to kill and a battle to win. The fog lifted from his thinkpan. As long as he could see the end goal he was fine. And the end goal was well within his sights.

Pupils settling into crosshairs, he took aim and fired.

Kursha does 1 damage.

HP: 13/20

Rasali stumbled around the cavern. It was getting disturbingly difficult to maneuver the battlefield without tripping over a dead or dying troll. Blood coated her feet and stained her clothes. Rasali wasn’t even sure how much of it was hers. Yet the battle waged on, only slowing when Errade claimed the spotlight once more.

Rasali whipped her head towards Errade just in time to see her hit the detonator. White enveloped Rasali’s vision, then darkness. Rasali was certain she’d gone blind and deaf—if not died entirely. After several agonizing moments, the shapes and sounds of the caves resolved themselves around her. However, much of Rasali’s vision remained black.

It was hair. Rasali pushed it aside only for it to crumble between her fingers. Gingerly, Rasali struggled to sit up. (When had she fallen down?) There was a sizable pressure on her torso that rolled into her lap as she rose.

Rasali couldn’t scream. If she screamed, it meant she saw what was sprawled out across her legs—that it was real. It couldn’t have been. It wasn’t right. The parts of the corpse’s face that was still intact stared glassily up at Rasali who cried and wheezed in response. This troll saved her. They saved her life at the cost of their own. Rasali didn’t even know who they were. They were too scorched and broken to identify. Flecks of dry, muddy blood mixed into the mess spread across Rasali’s clothes and skin.

As carefully as she could, Rasali lifted the troll off of her and laid them on the ground. She winced as one of their remaining fingers detached and their head lolled back at an impossible angle. She was breathing so fast. She felt she might explode herself.

This was unacceptable. Rasali found it in herself to scream.

”YOU ******** b***h, I’LL KILL YOU!!

Rasali does 1 damage.

Rasali tore across the cavern, breaking down whatever had the misfortune to get in her way. Enemies were beaten, comrades were pushed aside. What little furniture of the cavern remained was splintered. Rasali’s everything hinged on beating this woman within an inch of her life.

Rasali had so much momentum she bypassed Errade completely, ricocheting off the wall without a second thought. Her chain followed her motions in a wide arc, clanging against the cave with a CRACK. If she hit anything in the process of her wild swings, <******** good.

Kick a troll while they're down, Lunear was always a fan of beating up things that were bound to die.

Or dead.

Because as he was un-living proof just because you went down didn't make it dead. It had to be dead dead. Double dead. Maybe trips. Point was you could never be too careful with trolls and being dead.

As the trolls kept falling, he kept fighting- at least until the bombs went off.

The echo in his think dome was steady as the ring in his sound lobes as he took shelter in time to know he'd not die but- Pain lanced his leg, shrapnel getting calf. It was a passing glance that made his pump biscuit jump to his throat however. Red and yellow and teal and-

He'd forgotten about them in the blast, in the fighting. "Milieu!" Her name came out first as he scanned the battle field. "Vremea, Odette-" He felt a sense of panic. He hadn't even been thinking to help them or protect them. He cared about them of all things and the idea that they might be hurt or worse.
What good a friend was he?

SkinkDad's HP: 33-6=27

Stryke had left his hiding spot shortly after the lobbed grenade had come his way...only to walk out into a blinding intense white light. For a moment, he wondered if he was dead. Shaking he covered his face, back pressed against one of the cavern walls. The explosions that kept going off reminded him of the bombing during OHC. As far a distance, a few chairs and a flipped table, and a dead troll was all he could do to keep himself away from the enraged orangeblood. So much blood was spattered all over the room.. Stryke buried his face against his knees, jaw clenching tightly as he tried to regain his senses.

SkinkDad meanwhile could smell the orangeblood off his intended target. Yet the reptile wasn't expecting the bomb. There was no escaping this one. The sudden intensely bright light took him by surprise. Snarling in pain, body frozen it curled up in a tight semi ball as his eyes tried to adjust. Unexpectedly while the hissbeast was down, he felt a sharp pain in his side. Blows from one of the defectors rained down on the downed lusus, golden-yellow blood pooling from several of its damaged scales. While an unarmed strike, his body had taken several beatings already, this only worsened the pain.

"d...dad..?" Stryke whispered, barely could he make out the image of his lusus being harmed. While the lusus was more than breathing, the sight of him incapacitated made tears weld in his eyes. He wanted to go to him, but a fear of a similar fate kept him rooted in place. Peering out from a dead troll he now used as a shield, he watched in horror.

So much senseless death, and lives lost. Those loyal and not littered the ground, pained groans and silence from those whom would never speak again haunted his vision.

Stryke's lusus deals no damage and takes 6 damage.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The only trolls left standing were you and your comrades. The adults on either side were not so fortunate, laying wounded or lifeless in the settling smoke, utterly destroyed by the calamitous force of the bomb. Both sides seemed almost entirely decimated, and as the last few hooded trolls collapsed, all was eerily still in the cavern. The air was thick with musk and the tangy scent of blood, and while the smoke had sunk to your ankles, it was still difficult to catch your breath.

Smoke played at Errade's knees as she collapsed to the floor with a pained grunt, bladed axe cluttering across the cavern as she lost her grip on her weapon. The orangeblood clutched at her side, rustic blood seeping through her robes at an unnerving rate. Her breathing was shallow and laboured, and it seemed like the traitor had spent her remaining energy.

"You ******** maggots," She spat, spraying blood across the shrouded cavern floor. It dribbled down her chin as she screamed. This wasn't happening. "You're nothing- ******** nothing!" Her tattered body shook she howled, refusing to admit her defeat. The investigation had indeed proved fruitful: Errade was the root cause for the bomb detonation on the rebel ships. She had single handedly destroyed the previous generation of the Initiative, and slowly but surely turned the survivors who felt uneasy with Byakko's leadership against her. She was responsible for the WACKY misinformation, and the rebels subsequent capture. She hadn't expected any survivors. "You have no ******** idea how many trolls I've picked off that could wipe the floor with you. You're insects in comparison!" If the Initiative pressed their investigation further, they would surely find evidence of Errade's involvement in sabotaging troops of those loyal to Byakko. Those culled at the prison, lost to the war at Civisect... that blood was on her hands. Errade sneered through her own orange hued blood.

"What now, huh? What does this even change? Look around you," She lifted a trembling arm to gesture shakily at the smoldering cavern. "What are you even left with? Nothing!" She let out a hysterical laugh, eyes widening madly as her vision flitted around those still concious. "You gunna kill me?"
