Area 12 ---> Area 13 His progress seemed to be going pretty slow. It really didn't seem like Zascha was going anywhere fast. Which was seriously aggravating. As he reached the next area the Hunter brushed up against something. It was a surprise for him as all the walls so far had been super smooth. Almost as if they were polished for hours. He felt around for a second, it felt like a round rock but as soon as it had appeared it disappeared. "How odd. I wonder what that was." It seemed out of place for this....place."Well, you can't count on too much consistancy when it comes to these places you know." Yeaaaa,,,good point.

She kept moving, when, quite abruptly once more, the voice that had been hounding her stopped. She didn't stop, however, or feel even remotely relieved for the break. The last time one voice had stopped, another had begun.
It appeared that this time would be the same.
A voice did resume where the last had left off, but this time, it was Shaheen's own voice that she could hear, which only cemented her reasoning that these voices could not be real. They were all in her head. All a trick, just some stupid little mind game.
"Are you not aware of just how worthless you are? Completely useless. Who would even want you now, after you have fallen so far? Tainted. Weak."
Shaheen simply shrugged her shoulders and continued on, her mouth firmly shut. After having fought herself on many different planes, she had heard it all before.

Finally! He was sure this time that he'd moved forward. The stones had seemed again to try and slide under his feet when he started to pause, but this time he darted forward again, confident for a moment that he'd discovered the trick and could defeat it.
He took a moments respite in this apparent corner of calm, making a nice respite where he could try and judge if there was a pattern before he cautiously set out again.

It was hard to run in the dark.
But he walked as fast as he could, desperate to leave behind the voices that loved to whisper his insecurities in his ear.
Soon, they faded, and as he pressed forward, his hand brushed by something that seemed to disappear as soon as he touched it.
Weird.

Turn this way. Another turn that way. Zascha was beginning to feel like he was lost. And of course that was only slightly verified when he ran smack dab into a solid wall where he thought an opening might be.
Feeling around the edges he determined for sure that he had reached a dead end.
"Well that's great." He'd had to pay more attention to where he was going. Not running into one until now had given him a bit of confidence that he'd be able to navigate this maze pretty easily. Now he would have to turn around and retrace his steps. Hoping that he wouldn't find his way all the way back at the beginning.

He stopped again, less planned this time than hesitation, a shiver running down his back at the clipped and mocking laugh that greeted him suddenly. It was not the first time his own doubts had echoed outside his body, last time it had been wonderland he was fairly sure. Perhaps that made it less surprising to hear since he had, after all seen Alice.

Good, no dead ends this time. From this spot in the maze Zascha could have sworn he saw something that looked like an exit. He slowly moved towards it. Inch by inch. It could have been a trap. One should be careful.

Should have stayed forgotten. Should have stayed alone. Should have stayed normal.
Sherry was inching along now. She could hear others, but whether they were real or more whispers she couldn't be sure. Armagnac was clear, and part of why kept moving.
She had to keep moving. It was the only way she'd survive. And the only way to find Jake. She'd not heard his voice in a while...surely he was fine.
It's not like he wanted you. No one did. THAT'S why you're all alone here. Everyone sees how worthless and unnecessary you are. You try and try...and you are still just nothing. Not worth the effort...
The whispers continued. They were nearly impossible to ignore.
Armagnac told her to ignore them. But Sherry had to wonder... They could have been right. She'd failed more times than not, as a Hunter. And Jake... he'd forgotten her once already. And then lied...
"Jake?" She asked again. The voices belonged to dead girls. Armagnac had to be right, they were nothing but false whispers. "Jake, where are you?"
Sherry slowly continued on.

At the very least Jason had good stamina, especially when it came to running. As such he kept running, keeping close to the sides in a attempt to keep track of where he was going as he sought to escape the maze.

But in the end Zascha was rewarded for his efforts. As he reached the end he let out a long, exhausted sigh before moving along. He wanted to leave this maze of horrors behind as quickly as he could. To leave what he experienced in there....for another day.
For now he was just happy to be out.
