He pulled again, trying to wrench himself free and feeling very much like a small child trying to escape a scolding parent. What right did Zinkenite feel in talking to him this way? Rank meant nothing these days. Tanzanite had rank. Charonite and Nealite had rank. Even the Queen had rank. Where were their leaders now? “You are NOTHING like Charonite and never will be! He was a leader! ” He spat, having far more respect for the man who had introduced him to the Negaverese in the first place that one, breezy night when he was just a forgettable boy in highschool.
And even then, Charnoite had been marked a traitor. Did all good members of the Negaverse he knew always get punished? And what of his would-be friends? What was Zinkenite now to him? Some far off memory now risen in rank and on opposing sides.
What happened to the Negaverse he had fought for?
“Don’t you dare mention Her! Not when she’s not here to…” He trailed off, voice breaking as the pain of her memory came rushing back, and the phantom judgment she might have in what he was doing. She had warned him, but he knew that she must feel some degree of justice in what he was doing. She would have never become a youma if it wasn’t for them. She might still be here then. Still alive. Still that woman he got to meet not as an officer but as a person at her apartment.
All the good ones left him.
“Everything we stood for was already torn down the moment we sided with them and you know it. You’d be blind not to. Where were you when they came? You should be fighting alongside me for Her instead of with them. You ruined us by letting her live.” He warned, glaring back at his so-called friend. “I won’t let you ruin us. Ruin this.” He would help the Negaverse and bring justice to where it was due.
Weaponless, he went to punch the General King to free himself. He still had one arm free. He would do everything to make sure of it. If it meant making Zinkenite bleed more, then so be it.

The oppressive aura of a General-King was the last thing Persephone had expected right then, and for one mad panicked moment the tiny Corrupt worried that he was going to interfere on Wolframite's side and that she was even more doomed than she had been before - but no, the loud declaration of enough was reassurance enough, and she took the tiny piece of Leto's soul that Wolframite had stolen.
For a moment, she wanted to touch, to examine, because she remembered Zirconia's declaration that they were strange - but her curiosity was second to the life of the Dark Mirror Princess, and so she knelt next to the fallen body and held her hands over Leto's chest, releasing the starseed to return to its rightful place. It was a good thing, perhaps, that she'd done this twice before and knew what to expect, because otherwise she might have been panicked even worse than she was.
She found herself shrinking against the injured Princess. Even if Zinkenite's wrath was not directed at her, it was a terrible thing to behold.
Using her useful distraction her magic provided, Chariklo grinned down at Amytis, thrilled to see the confidence in her abilities reflecting back at her. With a small laugh, she dropped a feather soft kiss on the Karma senshi's forehead before giving her a gentle asspat.
"Well then. Have fun, baby. Call me if you need me."
With a wink, she was off and running, searching for Leto or even Remarque. They had to get out of here before it became a worse bloodbath than it already was. And as if her thinking about bloodbaths summoned it, she heard a scream that made her shiver almost uncontrollably. That was Leto!
As if the world was coming into hyper-focus, she spun around, trying to locate the sound. Only to see Leto being attacked by a White Moon Eternal and what could only be a general. Feeling as if she were trying to move through molasses, Chariklo struggled through the press of bodies everywhere, trying to reach her friend. Only to be bowled over by the rush of energy as Leto grew wings and went all Princess-y. In a far off corner of her mind, Chariklo approved of what she saw. The rest of her simply wanted to reach her friend and help her. Still trying to move, she heard herself screaming in a terrified rage as Leto went down, as she saw a hand dip into her chest and pull out a starseed.
It was like Jadis all over again. She barely registered a green haired corrupt slamming into Leto's assailant, but decided that if she ever ran into that girl, if they got out of here alive, she was going to give that fabulous b***h a kiss for her actions. Then, she went tits over a** (metaphorically) again as a friggin' General King appeared and forced the starseed out of the little general's grip. Okay, she was going to have to find and kiss two people now.
Moving again, she tried to get close to Leto and the corrupt Eternal. The General King she was more than content to leave alone for now. She only wanted to get her friend out of there if she could.

Amytis took a breath, turning and flashing her girlfriend a smile. Sure, she might ordinarily have squeaked, blushed, and otherwise been foolish about getting her a** patted, but in the middle of battle was not the time for that. She darted in at the Page, curving her fist towards his gut while he was distracted by Chariklo's magic. She would happily take advantage if it got him out of her face.
And then there was a horrifying, blood-curdling scream, and once again her attention was drawn away. She spun to stare in abject horror at the sight of her Princess, broken and beaten and bloody. Leto, who she had only met briefly, but who had helped welcome her into the Court.
Leto, who was stronger than all of them, and yet still lay destroyed, starseed plucked from her core. Even if it was returned, the facts stood.
Her Princess had fallen. She could only imagine that she was next.
And then there was a soft brush of fur against her ankles, and a quiet voice saying "follow me," and she realized it was a cat, a Guardian, leading her out of the factory, at least for a brief moment - because she wasn't syaying gone, no way.
"Hold your panties, Page boy, I'll be right back to handle you." She darted after the cat, and slipped into a mirror in the nearby alley - undoubtedly left there by some clever member of the Court...and what came out the other side was stronger.
What came out, and what ran back into the fray to find Falias, was Super Sailor Amytis.
She felt a body crashing against her own. She was falling down. Her grips from Bishcofite's chakrams loosened. She saw the blade hitting Buddingtonite's side, she saw blood on his fingers. Behind the festive mardi gras themed cat mask she watched in shock his general falling down, heard his pained yelp. Without thinking further, she moved her hand quickly on the ground, searching for the chakram and once she had secured her grip on one, she stood up.
"Please, move," she warned Damocles before pushing him further with her free hand. The hand that was wielding the chakram swung dangerously couple times until he released the weapon, sending it towards the senshi (Astarte) who had crashed against his general. Yes, Buddy had told her to not engage but this was different case.
She wasn't in the meeting. She is on the side of the Order. She is attacking the Negaverse agent. This is perfectly justified action.
She watched with rather cold and serious expression the chakram flying towards her and to her surprise, her throw seemed to be rather accurate. Surely it would have hit her if something surprising haven't happened. Suddenly, delicate hands pulled the senshi down and powerful energy signature had accompanied with them. That energy signature belonged to a cat girl Cora.
The lieutenant stood still for a moment, staring at the guardian cat girl and the senshi she just had saved. She focused on her breathing, attempting to calm herself, fighting the upcoming anxiousness. Her attack had failed. Her general was hurt. She had failed to protect him. She had failed to avenge him. She could do nothing to help the situation.
Or could she?
Her eyes locked on the Mauvian, and she rushed forward, pulling her further from the senshi. Her hand moved quickly towards her chest but it was not her starseed she was after. It was her capelet. "Sorry, but I need this," she apologized, unable to hide panic and worry from her voice. With a rapid movement, her fingers untied the bow of the capelet and she pulled it off. The capelet now in her hands she rushed back and crouched down next to Buddingtonite. Without hesitating, she pressed the cloth against the wound of his gently, hoping this would reduce the bloodloss even just slightly.
"I'm sorry, General.... I failed," she spoke, quiet enough for only him to hear.
Cora had been wandering around the sawdust covered battlefield, trying to not bring much attention to herself. She wondered should she had left but what if someone needed her help? Leto had personally asked her to protect senshi, her or theirs. She was a guardian cat after all.
Suddenly, she was in front of the such scenario. She watched as the senshi crashed against the general (Buddy) she recognized. He was the one missing a hat, wasn't he? And there was another, the one that had been held by hostage (Damocles). Cora was silently glad he was okay. She noticed the 'bait' (Lellouch) too and another general (Natron) she didn't know. However, now was not time for face recognizing games.
The rose-laden general got hurt. Cora felt sorry for him but what really got her worried was the action the teal-haired lieutenant did next. Oh no, this could end up bloody! Panicked, she rushed towards Astarte, turning into her cat girl form behind her. Her delicate hands wrapped around her waist and she gave a strong pull, loosing balance with and landed ungracefully on her butt. "Oww!" she yelped loudly, closing her eyes for a moment. Once she opened them again, her eyes searched the white moon senshi she just had saved. "Are you okay?"
There was not much time to catch breath for her when she felt a strong pull on her arm. Cora let out a scream, turning her frightened gaze towards the lieutenant Turquoise whose hand was dangerously moving towards her chest. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Protecting senshi is my duty!" She closed her eyes tightly, expecting to feel great pain or something when lieutenant would rip her starseed from her chest...... But that never happened. Instead, she felt suddenly cold on her now bare shoulders. Carefully, she opened her eyes, noticing the pair. For a moment, she watched them silently, smiling a bit softly and tilting her head slightly when she realized what the lieutenant really had been after. The scene before her, it was just so sweet. It's okay. You can use my capelet for that.
She then looked around, to others nearby her, a little confused of what was going on and worried since most of them had dark auras. She moved her body a bit closer to Astarte who was the most comfortable company to her right now, thanks to her white moon aura.
Turquoise says this place is boring. Let's go! Cora goes just awww, you're so cute! <3

He let wolfram hit him, his head turned slightly and he looked back once more like he faced a child.
"When did you become such a blind FOOL Wolframite, to think that you could save what we stand for by standing with them, the very -side- your tortures stood for when they cut your eye out? Are you so completely blind to think that who we serve doesn't change us? "
He reached his hand in and curled fingers around Wolframite's star seed. "Tell me now... That I should act as Charonite would. Tell me I should waste an officer who might yet learn because it's easier to take your star seed. Tell me you want to die for the same damned insurrection SHE punished you for. LIE to my face the way you lie to yourself for a grudge even she, in Metalia's name had to overcome. Do you think you're better than her to so REFUSE to let it go? Do you recall at all the words she spoke about putting your own goals, over the survival of the Human race?"
He shook his head. "How can you forbid me to speak of the one that raised me up? How, when it's you who piss on her memory and her suffering by learning nothing from it, or your own?"
The fingers around the star seed in coiled from their painful grip, and rather than pull his hand free, he slammed the flat of his free hand into The Generals chest sending him careening backwards.
"I don't know how I thought you would be wiser, not when you thought masks would hide you, or that so grand and foolish an undertaking would stay secret."

He bent at the knees, arching back as his starseed was gripped, white flooding his vision as the pain seized his body by having the very core of his being squeezed tightly.
He could die here - but he knew that risk. He just thought he would die in battle. Not as an example.
In the corner of his vision, as if in slow motion, he saw the senshi drop down and drop the starseed he worked so hard to take be dropped back into the husk of a princess. There was a distant hope it wouldn't work. That it had been too long.
Don't rise. Don't breath. Stay down.
"Think about that. We have them on our side. How is that changing us, Zink? Our side is being destroyed by having them."
He gritted his teeth once again, gasping hard against the tight hold. "I'm only setting things right." For justice. To make the Negaverse pure.
"I'd die for that."
The force of the throw had him flying across the room and slamming down into the far wall, bouncing back and falling down. Dazed and blinded, he gasped in a lungful of sawdust, coughed, and rolled over just enough to breath again. His entire body hurt, and he looked up at the rafters that swirled around him, seeing doubles. Bits of sawdust floated about him.
His mind went back to Leto and the returned starseed.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the lighter. The last ditch effort of a desperate man. He lit it, and tossed it to the ground farther off. It didn't take long for the fire to start and start traveling. "I wont' let you take her from me." He managed, and rolled over, slowly, painfully heaving himself to his knees as he held his sides, looking up across at Zink.
"You let them live - her live - and it will drag our entire side down. They should not be forgiven."
He looked to Zink now, and a soft plea crossed his features. They had been teammates. Why was he against him now? Had rank changed him?
"Help me end this."

For one brief, flickering moment, Europa felt triumphant. Leto's eyes had gone dark and still - no more panic. No more pain. No more life at all. She heaved a triumphant sigh, turned to say something to Wolframite-
And the world exploded around her. Europa was thrown across the room with the force of the General King's arrival, colliding with the back wall with a crunching of old wood. Pain rushed through her body, dozens of splinters sticking into her skin. Europa glanced across the room, saw Wolframite confronted by-- Zinkenite she thought, recognizing the general-king. I need to get over there.
Slowly, Europa forced herself to her feet. She could not move as quickly as she liked, not with the damage she'd sustained in her express trip across the warehouse. But maybe - maybe if she could get close enough without the general noticing - she had one attack left, one that would leave them in the cover of darkness, so she could grab Wolframite and - it wasn't like she could teleport, but- she could get them out of here. They'd both upheld their ends of their bargains- Leto was dead, her starseed taken, and even if-
Even if it was returned-
-Which it was-
-Europa had still done her job. She had felt her go limp. She had seen the Princess die. Should she have crunched her trachea to be sure? Certainly. And she'd been getting to that, before Zinkenite's timely arrival-
"You're too late!" she shouted, to the general-king, and to the tiny corrupt senshi at his beck and call. "She's dead! We killed her!"
Unless-
Unless-
Should've crunched that goddamn trachea, Europa, just to be sure, she thought piteously. And that was when she smelled smoke. Looking around, Europa saw the fire spreading. It was time to leave. Time to go. Let them all die of smoke inhalation, she'd done what she came for and if they couldn't get Leto to medical help and fast then she really would be dead, for certain.
Get to Wolframite and go, she thought, limping towards the general and Zinkenite as quickly as she could.
Oh sweet friggin' ********, what was it with negaverse officers trying to set people she cared about on fire lately? With this newly added impetus, Chariklo raced for where Leto lay. They had to get out. Get everyone out. With so much sawdust and who knew what else in the air...
Chariklo shook her head violently to clear it of the unwanted thought. Better to just deal with what was directly in front of her. Slowing her pace slightly so as to not appear as a threat to someone who could toss people across a factory the way he had, Chariklo still slid a tiny bit in Leto's blood and fell on her a** near the green-haired corrupt. Resisting the urge to bawl as she saw the crimson splashed so liberally around her friend's body, she crawled close and with a last nervous glance at the General King, turned her full attention to the corrupted senshi.
"You are my new best friend and can I help you get her the hell out of here? Or something? Please? She's my friend, we can't let her die."
Okay, she was rambling and possibly beginning to panic. But she'd lost another friend far too recently, been abandoned by the woman who'd brought her into the Court and still hadn't gotten over losing her mother as a kid. Right now, she had every ******** right to panic.

The arrival of the General-King immediately soured his mood, especially when he couldn't find the red clad mirror senshi. He turned his head towards Zinkenite, eyes narrowed into slits. The General-King was siding with them, he was picking the dark mirror senshi over his own soldiers and he felt sick. He half-listened to the words that Zink rattled out, and Wolframite's response in return, and he shook his head immediately searching for Zircon.
This battle was lost and they needed to go.
Speaking out defiantly would do him no good, and neither had been spotted yet, so when he found Zircon he grabbed her by the wrist. "We're leaving. Now." He told her, looking at their surroundings as smoke began to rise from the embers trying to consume the warehouse around them. "We'll go after those that escaped already, there's no long a point in staying here."
And then he teleported them out.

The dark mirror senshi wasn't as heavy as Tsui was expecting and lifting her over her shoulders was easy. She didn't put up much of a fight and only continued to cry, and it took much effort for the Tiger senshi to try and block them out. She could remember a time where she was in her shoes... and perhaps that's what made it easy for her to find herself taking the mirror court's side in this struggle. She knew all too well what the poor girl was going through, and it was clear that she simply couldn't handle it. Maybe she wouldn't transform after this fight and that'd be one less Mirror senshi in the world for them to worry about.
She was more concerned about her friend and the possible dark path she was taking. She didn't want to think of the Negaverse trying to take advantage of her friend's past grudge with the DMC and using it against her... where would she be without Kallichore?
When the General-King Zinkenite appeared, Tsui paused in her retreat, only to look back and see whose side he had taken in the fight. Such an overwhelming aura of chaos... yes, she remembered quaking in her boots the first time they met and it was amazing how she almost wanted to do the same thing now, even after all else she's been through and her own increased rank, he still left that impression on her. Seeing him stop the ringleader in all of this was enough to entice her to pick up her pace, and she couldn't help but mutter to Kallichore on their way out. "With any luck, the Negaverse and DMC will tear each other apart and we'll have nothing else to worry about. Wishful thinking, huh?"
As if it'd be that easy, but one could hope.

He had not expected such a reaction from Turquoise and immediately he felt that damned emotion that he could hardly contain swelling within him and bubbling to the surface. Why was it that every time he had an outing with her, he felt so damned guilty? He didn't mean to do all of these terrible things to her, and yet, he never surprised himself when he found a way to put her through SOMETHING. She had rushed back with the capelet and pressed it to his side, and despite having helped kidnap, verbally torment a hostage and then distracted a fellow general to be stabbed from behind, he addressed Turquoise with a gentle tone. "Nonsense... absolute nonsense, my dear! See... this is why we should have stuck to my original plan... even though it wouldn't have been as fun."
All of this was his fault and he wasn't going to deny it. He felt he was keeping a good head on his shoulders about it too, until he felt a powerful Chaos aura engulf his senses, and whatever pleasantness he had worked so hard to bring up to mask his discomfort was gone, for General-King Zinkenite was there, and that was enough to shatter his carefully constructed and maintained mask. The aura of calmness he managed to have, even after being rammed into a stabbed, was gone.
Anyone that knew Buddingtonite knew that the moment he went silent and stopped talking, that was when s**t got real, and he took advantage of Turquoise being near by wrapping his arms around her and teleporting out of there.
Know when to hold, know when to fold. Now was definitely a time to fold...

"I think a lot of things are fun. Even if it doesn't always make sense to others." Azurite shrugged. "I get the feeling you'll prove me wrong on you though.. ...What is your name?"
"I know it's not. It's underhanded and sneaky on a level that borders the imbecilic." She responded, looking over his shoulder at the people who were fighting. "But again, in my case anyway, orders are orders. And I can't just disobey them. Like I said, I normally left you guys a lone. And to be honest I don't know many, if any at all of the Order or Dark Mirrors that are here." The corrupt snickered, noticing the faint trace of pink. "What's the matter? Not use to the other side calling you cute? Or is it cause it's coming from someone like me?"
The scream caught her attention and Azurite turned curiously to find the source. "That sounds like it hurts.. Ugh. That's gonna sting in the morning." The senshi muttered, rubbing her neck with a slight cringe. She blinked when the eternal look, knowing full well what he was thinking. "Oh don't look at me like that. There's not much I can do here anyway. I don't normally specialize in crowds if ya know what I mean..." Azurite would leave that up to the eternal to figure out it's meaning. "If anything, my game plan was to throw people off balance. So when I said I was going to give someone a hug. I meant it. But I don't expect you to believe me soooo.." He would do what he had too. Just like she had to do what she could.
The wings beating about his face was definitely a distraction and a painful one at that, Falias' focus mainly on trying to get the damned things away from him. It didn't mean that he was deaf though and the Page could hear the words 'have fun' from the newcomer.
The punch seemed to come literally out of nowhere and Falias collapsed with a groan as pain exploded in his gut. He hunch in or at least attempted to in anticipation of another blow but there was nothing and then suddenly there was a shriek of the blood-curdling variety from further in the warehouse the sound enough to chill his blood despite the fact that he knew or could guess at the source.
So it's done.
Despite fights still happening around him, it seemed that WP and Europa had been successful - that overall they had won.
And then his musing was cut off as he suddenly heard footsteps heading in his direction - the aura that of an approaching dark mirror senshi. "Couldn't even fight her own battles" he mumbled as he recognised the aura for that of a dark mirror super senshi and assuming that it was the one with the damned wings attack - after all the pink haired senshi had been a basic one, her aura as strong as his.

Persephone knelt and released Leto's starseed carefully, allowing it to slip back into a chest. Seconds passed, and Leto's blank, red eyes stared unseeing up at the ceiling. She could hear screaming and panic around her, and suddenly the warmth of a body against her own cold flesh. There was a familiar voice, an enormous Chaotic aura; it could only be Zinkenite.
You're too Late! She's dead! We killed her!
No.
She needed to wake up. Leto yelled at herself in her head, screamed internally to get the ******** up. Hoping against all else that Europa and Wolframite were no where near by, or that they were otherwise occupied.
With a loud, desperate gasp, Leto inhaled as much air as she possibly could. She blinked at the ceiling, and then let out a whimper of pain. Her throat hurt, her back hurt, her chest ached like nothing she had ever felt before. With another inhale, the air now filled with thick smoke, Leto coughed and sobbed. She would die in this hell, burnt alive. Unable to maintain her power, Leto slipped easily back into her Eternal form- the lack of wings produced large open wounds in her back where Wolframite had cut and torn at her.
Finally, she stared helplessly at Persephone, the Senshi she recognized but not quite as she hadn't known that she corrupted to the Negaverse. She tried to speak, to thank her, but no words escaped her lips. Her one functional hand reached out and gripped Chariklo's sheer overlay the moment she heard her voice.
The fire that Wolframite had started to expand throughout the warehouse. Tears streaked down her sawdust, blood and dirt covered face. "Save everyone," she sobbed. "Get everyone out. Don't... Don't let them die here for my mistakes." Her chest heaved and she curled in on herself. "Please," Leto sobbed, her entire body trembling. "Leave me, get them all out. Make sure... Make sure Remarque got out."
If Leto was going to die here, she needed to know that the other Royal of the Dark Mirror Court survived so that the DMC wasn't left alone and leaderless. They needed him. She needed to know that the DMC didn't die in the battle, in the fire that was spreading- their safety was infinitely more important than her survival.

It wasn't expected for Zinkenite to make an appearence, not for something which really seemed small. This wasn't a small fight, not really, but compared to previous battles it did seem to pale in comparison so why would the General King become involved? His attention had left the knight, as much as it likely shouldn't have, at the General King's arrival and focused on a scene he had not been expecting to see. Leto...on the ground and...dead? He knew her and though he hadn't spent time with her in awhile, too long really, he thought they could be considered friends of some sort or another. To see her on the ground and so battered sent a cold chill through him as it felt like some force had just gripped his chest in a strangle hold.
He knew of the past, knew what had taken place once so long ago, and could understand the anger of the General as he listened to the two males speak - as it seemed a pin could drop in the warehouse and be heard at this point. So this was all because of the past...an incident that many here had not been apart of or might not have even been around for. it felt...like an old feud being rehashed when he should be left in the past. He felt for the General, he did of course, but pulling in innocent and clueless people just bothered him at the same time.
As he watched the General go flying through the air, only to impact with a wall, he made his way to Acrucis' and taking her hand dragged her off to find Remarque. A glance at the knight as he took hold of the senshi of prayer. "Your lucky that more pressing matters have come up." Like a pissed off General King that was putting an end to this. "Another night." A promise for more, for a proper fight. He may not have come here with the dark mirror senshi but he had come here to help the other and had thus far not even seen him!
Moving around people, twisting and turning to move around them, he kept a hold on Acrucis' arm as he found Remarque he stopped for a moment...smoke? Whipping his head around he spotted it - flames. Oh god! With all the sawdust here this would not be good and not a mirror around that he could see. Hastening his pace he made for the dark mirror senshi and grabbed his arm. "We need to leave, now. Just...hold on." Drawing Acruscis' closer to himself as he hoped Remarque would take a hold of him as well.
