Evangeline was smiling so widely her jaw was sore, her face felt as though it might break but nothing was going to wipe that grin from her lips. Her heart was thudding and she thought the others in the van might hear it, it was so loud. Her arms went around him and she nuzzled her face against his a bit. "I did get the letter... I... I thought I might never see you again." She said.
None of that mattered now though, nothing mattered now that he was here and alright.

Poor Orrin wasn't all awake yet, and his mind wasn't very clear either, as he couldn't even remember the last time he ate. He couldn't understand why Minty was laughing, or even half of what was going on. "So... N-no cleaning? But then who... who will... get the b-b-bunnies out...?" He started to wish he had just stayed asleep instead. He hated the way he felt slightly retarded whenever he was tired. Or hungry. Or both...
But it seemed to him that people were being rather happy, and that made him happy as well. His mouth slightly resembled a smile for a moment. The warm and fuzzy feeling made him try to pick another grunny up, which hissed and ran off. Orrin sighed and dropped down on the floor. He wasn't sure whether this was a good day or a bad one. "D-do you have any... antything to... e-eat?", he asked, with little hope.
Monster hugged her tight, he didn't want to let her go again. "I'm here, and I'm not leaving..." He looked over at the letter, remembering how frantically he wrote that message in an attempt to leave her with something, anything. That can't happen again. He wouldn't let it happen again. "...We can't keep doing this. You deserve better..." He looked up at Evangeline and pulled out of her hug, shakily getting down on one knee. "And I want to give you something better. ...Evangeline, when we get out of this, w-will you m-m-m-m-m..." The word stuck in his throat, but he finally pushed through and announced in a loud voice.
"Will you marry me?"

Charming said, settling down next to Volts. Everyone seemed to be sorting things out on their own. The best way he thought he could help now was to keep stray grunnies and grombies from interrupting the group, and it was a chance to speak with Volts, which he did not get very often,
"Seems that our mechanic has already created a cure, so we don't need to find him. I'm sure Miss Minty will want to go and look for her prince next. What do you think we should do?"
Volt smiled when Charlie returned, thankful everything seemed to be working out, and for the moment, things were calm."I wouldn't mind helping Minty find this...prince? Perhaps he's in this shelter I heard about earlier? Although, if Arron has found a cure for those who've turned, perhaps there's a way to similearly fix the overall grunny issue."It was a long shot, but then again, there was a reason for the abrupt and recent outbreak. There had to be a way to undo whatever had set it off to begin with. All that aside, she couldn't help but reach out and pull his ear gently with a giggle. She wasn't used to him as an elf.
"Eat?" Minty's stomach rumbled loudly in agreement to Orrin's query, "Uh...no. Maybe our next stop should be the kitchens, although they're by the chatter thread. Can't fight the undead hoards on an empty stomach"
...and maybe we'll find Prince while we're at it. She added silently in her head.

Voyager sighed in relief as another one joined the party. He was glad to be the larger model. They seemed safe for now, and if someone had found a cure then there was nothing left to worry about. The Plymouth was happy as everyone found each other, and even talk of marriage arose, that was a first."So everything's ok now?""Remarkable..." Sciurus said, retrieving his scalpel and approaching Orrin. "My apologies for before. I don't have any actual food on me, but if you eat people, I do have organs and limbs squirreled away in my freezer. I haven't seen a broom anywhere, but I will help hunt down the bunnies."
"Shelter? What did you hear about a shelter? If there's a safe spot, perhaps we should make for there instead of the kitchens"
Charming fidgeted, self conscious about his current appearance. He smiled nervously.
"Do I look that silly? I won't have the stores for a proper human glamour for awhile."

Charming fidgeted, self conscious about his current appearance. He smiled nervously.
"Do I look that silly? I won't have the stores for a proper human glamour for awhile."
"I just heard about it briefly, in passing. The man who mentioned it was gone before I could probably inquire about it, he might even be this prince guy you mentioned, but unfortunately I don't know where it is."Volt smiled and let go of his ear, her cheeks blushing pleasantly."No, you don't. Is this what you were keeping from me all this time?"
Evangeline nodded, they couldn't keep doing this, she knew that. All the jumping in and out of each other's lives, never knowing what kind of danger the other was going to end up in. It was horrible. She hated it. But still, the lady never expected what he did next, not even in her wildest dreams.
Her jaw dropped, her face went beetroot immediately as her beloved stared up at her and she stared back.
Moments of silence passed before she remembered she was supposed to answer. She had almost just assumed it was so obvious what she was going to say that an answer seemed almost unnecessary. "I... Yes! O-of course!" she gasped finally, fresh tears spilling onto her cheeks again. Though this time they were good tears. Tears of joy. If she thought her heart had been racing before it was nothing compared to now.

Charming looked up, his head snapping around as he heard crying coming from inside the van. The sight he saw was welcome in the midst of all the horror. His blue buddy was on one knee and Evangeline was shedding tears of joy.
"Congratulations!"
He stood to embrace the couple,
"My princess says there's some sort of safe house. Not as good of news as yours,but perhaps they have champagne we could celebrate with!"

He looked at Minty with great big puppyeyes. "C-c-can I come too...? To the k-k-kitchen, p-please...?"
Suddenly, the car-guy was approaching him, with something shiny in his hand, it seemed. He was starting to feel somewhat uneasy around that man. "W-whaaa...?" Orrin scratched the back of his head. "P-people? Limbs... Eat...? Eeeaaat..." It took a while for it to sink in, worn out as he was. But when it finally did, the green man suddenly flew up on his feet and backed away from the frightening man. "N-n-n-no! Not that! N-no..." He began to realise just how badly he needed to eat. What if he forgot the difference between right and wrong, again? No, it wouldn't do.
He looked at Minty again, and felt rather ashamed. "N-never mind, Miss... I-I-I'll walk..."

Tears were streaming down Monster's face as well and he slowly got up, "Y-you will?" He then hugged Evangeline again and quietly whispered, "P-p-past cool~" It was decided, they would finally be together. And with the cure strapped to his back, things were looking up. This grombie outbreak would be over in no time! ...Right?
Charming then came over and embraced them, and talked about the presence of a safe house. "Th-that sounds great!" He then took off the dart gun and handed it to Charming. "This thing is loaded with darts filled with the grombie cure. Arron used it on me and I feel fine now. ...Thing is I can't aim one of these things, so maybe you should keep it instead?"
"Of course you can come to the kitchen with us, Orrin! We are the rescue team." Minty leaned further out the window to cuff Sciurus gently on the head, "And don't mind this one, he forgets his manners sometimes, but he's really a big softie deep inside."
She looked at the doctor, "Deep deep inside." Minty added. She turned around to ask the back of the van what they thought about going to the kitchen to see Evangeline crying and Monster being hugged by Charming.
"Uh...hey? What's going on back there? Do you guys want to head to the kitchen?"

Sylph? Volt resisted the urge to facepalm then and there. As an electric elemental from the Cloud Kingdom, she of all people should've known. Perhaps she'd been among Gaians for too long. Either that or he was rather adept at convincing disguises. She looked over at the happy couple, overhearing the good news. A wedding proposal during a grunny epidemic...? HOW ROMANTIC! Being called my princess didn't sound to bad either...especially in Charlie's voice. She could hardly slow her mind down enough to respond."Congratulations you two!"she finally said at last, cheeks glowing happily."If you need anything, anything at all for the ceremony, I still have my Cloud Kingdom gold card~"
Getting married during a zombie apocalypse, that'd be one to tell the kids. Although it would probably happen after everything got sorted out. Voyager looked from Minty to everyone else. "A safe house? Let's go then, And maybe we can find the kitchens and find your prince along the way huh? Weddings for everybody!" He called out to Doc and the green man, "Hey Doc, Zombie Dude, they're saying there's a safe house somewhere. Ya wanna go? They might have food." Sciurus held out his hands, palms up in a peaceful gesture. A zombie that didn't eat people? Now he'd seen everything. "I suppose we might as well, if everyone agrees on it. Alright, alright! No limbs, no people, I am sorry. Forgive me for my ignorance. You are welcome to join us, or go solo if you wish." He glanced at Minty as she poked him and snorted. She may have thought fixing her arm after he tried to kidnap her was 'soft', but really he just liked his goods in one peice
