The final tally for Day 9 is as follows:
Dylo + Parvana = 51
Pothos + Apple Bloom = 32
Aglaia + Kratos = 23
Day 9 Winner is Dylo and Parvana!
Again! You two are smokin hot right now. Your Tanuk Tanuk Tun was superb! Highest score of the contest! Everyone else? Take lessons from them.
And the pair with the lowest score is Aglaia and Kratos. I'm sorry my dears but you need to loosen up to dance to something like the Tanuk Tanuk Tun. Let loose and have some fun. Also, Dylo and Parvana could teach you a thing or two. Aglaia, I'm proud of you. Time to leave the dance floor. Don't forget to come to my engagement party! Presents are encouraged!

The dance for our finale is the Paso Doble. The sexy bull-fighter dance. I wanna see some passion in those dances! The winners of this dance will crowned as champions of our second annual Dancing with the Erotes, and reign over next year's contest and be my honored guest at my engagement party! Parvana can't believe it! She's in the finale! She has a 50/50 chance of being an honored guest at Venus' engagement party! The Venus! She'd danced the Tunak Tunak Tun with such enthusiasm and grace that it's hard to believe she can top that. She's almost shaking with nerves and excitement. This whole experience had been one of the best of her life, even if her partner hadn't seemed overly excited to be dancing with her. He'd been gentle and polite, to be sure, but there wasn't the same amount of...connection that she could see in the other couple left, for example. It's almost like he didn't want to be here at all.
Still, she's grateful for the chance to dance with him, even if he weren't as happy about the arrangement.

Okay so that dance was completely ridiculous, but it was kinda fun, she supposed. Besides, it wasn't like she was going to say no to Venus. She wasn't that stupid. Backtalking Voluptas was one thing, but backtalking Venus? HA. The goddess of love could probably put a curse on her to make sure she never found love. Yeah, she wasn't gonna risk that, thanks!
When one of the other couples were eliminated and she and Pothos were in the top two, her heart started racing. Oh, come on! She told herself this was NOT the time to get nervous! If she wanted to win this, with Pothos of course, she couldn't get nervous now of all times! But the next dance Venus called...she said it called for passion. Ahaha. Um, okay. What kind of passion was she talking about?

Pothos was so glad to be done with the finger butterflies... and no more hip wiggling. His Mother really needed to expand her repertoire of dances in the opposite... direction....
Sighing, he shut his eyes for a moment and whipped his brow, when he opened them he saw only Dylo and his partner left... and them. The top two... Pothos gulped, and glanced at his partner. The Paso Doble.... looked like such a passionate angry love dance... with bulls? What?
Shrugging, he took Apple Bloom and began doing some of the dance moves. "This can't be too hard. You are a faun... that's like, close enough.... isn't it?" he said as he looked her over. Ok well, she wasn't really a bull persay... and had no horns... just a giant pink bow... and a much more appealing figure to look at... but she had hooves... that counts, don't it?

She blushed a bit when they started the dance. Passion...how on earth was she going to put passion in this dance? She liked Pothos well enough, but he didn't inspire a passion in her....
Wait. What did he just say? He really just said that! She made a small sound of outrage and moved away enough to slap him hard across the face. How dare he compare her to a bull!
.....well, at least they had passion.

Pothos's eyes went cross eyed at the sudden impact of the hand across his face. Holy hot fudge sundaes in Dolandor.... this gal packed a punch! "You even hit like a bull..." he said weakly, tears in his eyes, one hand rubbing his face from the stinging pain while still trying to concentrate on daning.
Not the brightest thing to say after his previous comment...

SERIOUSLY?! He really just said that! She couldn't believe her ears! She huffed and slapped him again, across the other cheek. "I can't believe you're actually comparing me to a bull!" she huffed. She didn't even care about the tears in his eyes. What on Telrunya was he thinking with those comments! Obviously, he wasn't. She grumbled a little and glared at him but she continued to dance. At least they wouldn't lack for passion.

Yeah.. he might have deserved that one. Slumping forward, he managed to push out a rather strained soft "I'msosorry..." before offering her a red puffy cheeked and teary apologetic smile. He also grabbed her and pulled her close for some up close and personal dance moves.... to totally keep her from slapping him again.
Mouth shut for the rest of five ever!

She grumbled a little, but his quiet apology softened her heart a bit. "Yeah, well....apology accepted," she murmured. She flushed a bit when he grabbed her and pulled her close for some of the more....personal dance moves. Part of her suspected at least part of his motivation for that was to keep her from slapping him again. She smirked a bit at that thought and turned some of her anger and irritation into the dance. They were so close to winning this.

Anteros was ... nervous.
At first, he gave himself simple reassurances that Yukiko would be there soon. She had come there before. They had danced together last year! There was no way she didn't know how to get here, right? Eventually, the concern set in. Maybe she didn't know where she was going? What if she had gotten lost? Perhaps Anteros should have stayed with her. He could have come here with her. That would have been perfect, right? A gallant entrance.
But then, the dancing had started, and Anteros had to take his seat, watching those below dance the competition they had won last year--well, his brother, technically, but he got disqualified for being, well, Eros... Anteros had been the one who won, with Yukiko.
Where was she?
The more the dances went on, the more Anteros fidgeted. He couldn't believe he was acting like such a young, adolescent deity, but he kept shifting, face falling, biting lightly on his lip and tugging on his curly locks. He couldn't believe how far the competition had gone.
It was almost over, and she still wasn't there?
She did know it was today, right?
Did she get eaten by a bear?
Maybe a satyr...
No, no, that wouldn't make any sense. Maybe she was just late! It didn't seem to match up, though--
Oh, Mom was calling him. He had to explain where she was? Was that it? Why did she feel the need to bring up Yukiko at this point? Was she concerned about the mortal too? Perhaps that was it... Why did she sound so chipper--
Anteros flew over to Venus.
"Mother, I'm uncertain where she is..."

Voluptas had only seen the paso doble a few times, but she knew it was definitely not a simple dance to perform. It was the bull-fighting dance, after all, and bull-fighting was never easy--well, unless one was outright compared to a bull. Voluptas' brows shot into her bangs when Pothos made the rather ridiculous comparison, surprised that Pothos would even dare say such a thing.
She had to say, though, it threw a lot of passion into their dance. Applebloom was so agitated it fed into the dance, which seemed to bring more and more out of Pothos, as well. The longer the dance went, the more excited Voluptas got watching them, to the point where she stood up on her feet and cheered. They, naturally, got a 10.
It was not surprising that the final two couples would do so well, honestly. The fact that Dylo and Parvana were doing almost as good as Applebloom and Pothos did not catch her by surprise. It wasn't quite as interesting to her, though, and she sat down with a disappointed plop. The dance was still exciting, though, and their performance going after the amazing one from Applebloom and Pothos at least did not take that away from them.
So she gave them a 9.
