Was there? She had completely forgotten. Memories of prom had brought about other bittersweet memories, and she shook her head to clear it.
"... oh. I see."
She loved Olivia, really, she did, but sometimes the little Wight was just a little...
And then a preyon bit her, and she let out a wince of sympathy as she changed into the same sickly green colour. Wow, she really did look like a zombie now. But before she could say anything, the oddball reaper from before came back, now a bright orange, and slung an arm around the both of them. Someone who she didn't know, was touching her. Clearly this ghoul didn't understand personal space.
Rather than push her away and risk hurting Olivia physically and emotionally (since she supposed the reaper was her friend... of sorts...), Mia only sighed, dreading the fact they looked like some sort of mutated hotdog.

And then apparently band-aids were offered, and Mia took 2, as proof of the two bite-marks she had on her hand, and ended up taking a pumpkin-shaped one and some purple candy-shaped band-aid.
Colour atrocity aside, she wondered if these would get rid of these stupid side effects, and decided to wait before putting it on, watching the other students first lest some other nasty side effect surfaced.

Somewhat reluctant to leave the glitter, Mayaa turned her attention to the two reindeers, brightening up as they explained what they were supposed to do. Ooh, preyons, she loved preyons!
She scooped one up that hopped by, and winced as it bit her finger. Ouch! But aww, look at its cute little mouth! She only brought it closer and nuzzled her cheek against it.

Still holding onto the preyon, she looked down and noticed she was now... blue? OOH, were these special preyons! She had to find more! Maybe she could turn herself rainbowwwwwwww

Eager to catch another preyon, she chased after the next one she saw, and when close enough, she reached out to try catching it, but missed as it shifted, and she ended up hitting instead, breaking it in half.
Shocked, Mayaa only stared at the broken preyon, and began to cry.

Charybdis listened to the teachers and raised a quizzical eyebrow. This school was...strange to say the least. She'd never heard of anything like preyons. Where she lived they always used ink, naturally. Eager to fit in (maybe dad will let her come home early) she pushes back the tentacles of her hair and reaches out tentatively for a preyon.

Crying wouldn't bring the poor preyon back, and so Mayaa wiped away her tears, clutching the preyon she caught close to her bosom. No, she would find the rest and protect them from such a terrible fate!
She snatched up another one quickly, careful not to break it.

Charybdis fingers closed around the preyon. She smirked in delight, but it was short-lived. The preyon bit her hand viciously, almost causing her to drop it.

Charybdis set aside the preyon so that she could go in search of another, when she felt a strange tickle-ish sensation on her skin. The lilac hue of her skin ripples and then starts to disappear. She could feel herself shaking a little as the beautiful lilac of her skin changed into a putrid yellow that mad her look sickly. Charybdis flips her hands over, watching the yellow rise through her skin. "What the--" She stops herself short, "I'm freaking yellow!" 1 Preyon acquired

Sophie, having been bitten multiple times, went up to Douglas and took a band-aid for the only but mark she was really concerned about. The band-aid was green and in the shape of a clover. She slapped the band-aid on and shuffled back a little, away from the crowd. She had almost shoved her hands in her pockets when she remembered the preyons were in there. She settled on rubbing them together and breathing on them for warmth.

Livid, Charybdis makes a move toward another preyon. Her fingers close around the brightly coloured thing, but her hand squeezes just a bit too hard. The preyon cracks beneath her fingers, and the pale pink dust drifts out of her hands into the ground. A black rage starts creeping up on her, making her lose focus for a moment. No! She wouldn't lose it, not here and not on the first day!

At the mention of band-aids, Vanya scoffed and looked down at the bite marks on her hands. Sure, they were a little sore, but the preyons were too small to do any considerable damage. Unless, of course, you counted the fact that some students were yellow, orange and brown. She eyed her own skin and smirked; she'd gotten off lucky. Very, very lucky. Pulling the preyons out of her scarf, she held them in her hand and stretched, waiting for the excitement to be over.

Eitri looked himself over; trying to see if he had been bitten. He was his original colour and he couldn't see any marks. He had probably stepped on any of the preyons that had tried to bite him. Still, in his position in the middle of the fray, he eyed a ghoul who had very obviously been bitten seeing as she was yellow and it didn't seem to suit her.
"You gotta be careful not to step on them," he said, pointing at the preyons running on the ground. Then he pointed at her skin. "Is that what happens when they bite you? Glad I didn't get bitten. Yellow isn't my colour, either."

Charybdis took a deep breath and jerked around to the voice, a bit in alarm. He had frightened her--but it had taken her mind off of her rage. "Sorry," she shook her hand out where it stung from the bite. She took a step forward, then heard the tell-tale crack of another preyon. "I'm afraid I'm not very good at this," she looks him over carefully. She'd never seen someone so human before--at least, not close up. "You scared me, I'm new here. It's all--" she gestures around, "a little overwhelming." She blushes a bit, probably making her look more terrible. "I'm normally a lilac. I...hate yellow."
