Akakios merely listened as the two spoke, choosing to just take in the interesting set of information that was being exchanged. They were talking about familiars. So Maple was good with animals then since she had one? Or... not. Apparently she hadn't summoned one, but... then she would soon then? Then she'd have a partner forever? That seemed kind of neat really. It was hard not to be a touch jealous of the concept really, even if he did have a lot of friends around him.
A permanent partner was different.
But then there was talk of accidents, and he sort of stared up at AJ, and well... living. Fate and destiny? Had the voice talked about those at once point? So then was he letting something lead his life for him. Even if the comment wasn't directed at him, it did make him try to think about it. But it was hard to tell, because as far as he knew he was doing what he wanted... well to a degree. He liked the school, but something had just sort of dropped him there. It was a nice place, but... ah well he could think about it later. Right now wasn't the time to debate his life and what to do with it, at least... he thought? Rather, Trisha had wandered over and was standing a bit off looking a bit nervous. He was about to wave and call to her AJ spoke to hime, drawing his gaze up toward the thing who'd been happily resting on his head and shifting every so often. "Akeh." He chimed, smiling a bit at that as he noted the dragon's name. "Ahm a Sebahrus." He added, figuring what he was was needed as well.
He briefly glanced at Maple, expecting her to be next before noticing that AJ had spotted a certain cow and waving to her as well with a grin. "Treshah therh nahs cuhm tahlk!" Of course they'd want her there, she was so nice. Who wouldn't want her company? At least, that was as far as his thoughts on it went.

Usually, TK would’ve carefully and politely pried away anyone who got closer than he was comfortable with, but for Mea he made an exception. He only shifted slightly to make himself more comfortable as the rabbit ghoul clung even closer to him. “Well, yes,” he confirmed. “There are ovens, mixing bowls, spoons, and ingredients. That would make it a baking class, and in such a class you cannot eat until you finish making your food.”
Meanwhile, as he stood in front of his successfully pre-heated oven, TK was then pulled away by the ghoul once more. “Oh!” he started, but paused when the creature blew a puff of warm air into their faces. He crinkled his nose, but remained mute. “I have the utmost of faith in you,” he answered somewhat sincerely, stepping back with crossed arms.
He coolly watched her for a few moments before smiling at her success. “Yes you did. A job well done, if I do say so myself.”
She was joking, Amarus, OMJ. Now Piper was totally paranoid, thanks so much. She viewed the teacher suspiciously and hide a snicker as the dragon ovens went off in her face--though she supposed she ought to be a bit kindlier, sigh.
The ghost's story (HAH GHOST STORY SHE CRACKED HERSELF UP) made her quirk her brows in curiosity. Freya, huh? Interesting. Piper didn't like the idea of peppermint smells, either, ugh . . . Well hopefully they could get through this class without too much trouble. "We'll kick anything's a** no matter what!" she proclaimed, sounding more confident than she actually felt. "Like this gingerbread house! We'll totally kick it's a**! Yeah!" She'd been in all of, what, two battles? And one of them had been in that House Cup. Neither of which she had won.
Stellar member, this one.
Copying Amarus, the mage went in and carefully began to feed her dragon candy until it looked about the same as the rest. Woo! "HEY HEL, I DID THE THING," Piper announced with a wide grin, looking to her self-appointed idol for praise. "I did it on the first try too! Also these are totally neat ovens~"
Muka couldn't help snickering when he figured out the trick that Hel had pulled on their unsuspecting guest professor. Real dragons in the ovens? CLASSIC.
The strix turned to his oven and thankfully managed to get it just right on the first try. A lot of the others seemed to have also so it was fairly encouraging. Maybe he wouldn't be so bad at the baking thing!
Fire and undeads were a terrible combo, and though Efflo was braver around it than most, he had no desire to test just how ignitable he was. Gabby’s arms around him were unexpected, but not at all unwanted, and he burrowed into them, peeking around his boilfriend timidly to assure himself that it was, indeed, all done. The ovens snapped a bit, but were relatively calm, the little oven dragons settling into their warm cozy beds.
“Won’t you melt too? Like a big dragon popsicle…” He laughed a little, and nuzzled Gabby’s arm. Despite his joking, however, he tugged Gabby a step away from the ovens, trying to be sneaky about his actual concern.

"Not exactly." His hand phased through Efflo's body, reminding him of just how tangible he really was. "I might turn into a puff of frost, but I certainly won't be in pain, and I won't be on fire." It was a much better alternative than watching Efflo burn. He felt Efflo tugging him back, and snickered, taking the step back with him.
"I think we're safe now, you know." His voice held that careful tinge of sarcastic amusement. "The oven door is closed."
“Oh, I guess you’re right,” Efflo conceded to both questions, even though he still eyed the ovens warily. It was a pity such delicious things required them, otherwise he might have very well have taken up baking himself. He was seemingly always hungry, but though the idea of being able to make his own sweet snack whenever he wanted was tempting, it wasn’t worth the chance of accidentally burning himself down. That, and he was fairly certain his dorms had a strict no fire policy, and that Gabby wouldn’t look too kindly on coming home to find his room turned into a bakery.
He could dream though.
“What do you think we’re going to make?” he asked, content to make himself at home in Gabby’s arms.

Most of the students seemed really skilled at starting up the dragon ovens... Could it be that some of them have one at home?
Excluding participants who had already won a Joy Stamp, everyone who participated in Part 1 got a spot in this Joy Stamp raffle. If you participated in Part 1 and did not win a Joy Stamp, but do not see your name in the list below, PM me with proof of your participation, and I'll give you an additional ticket in the next Joy Stamp raffle. <3 To make things easier on me (since I did not want to roll 7 times for 7 winners), I used an off-site generator.
People whose name are in BOLD, you have won a Joy Stamp! Please claim it here!
Watching the students preheat the ovens calmed her nerves, and by the time they were ready to proceed, Jubilee was no longer trembling. On the other hand, as things calmed down, Hel went back to sharpening more candy canes. It was pretty neat, how this Christmas-y treat could be like a shiv… But if it was in the hands of something smaller, well then, it’d be like a spear! That was a fun thought…
"Now that the ovens are all being preheated, we can make the cookie dough!" Jubilee giggled to herself, having recovered from the earlier scare. Pouring all the ingredients that had been laid out on the table - flour, spices, butter, brown sugar, molasses, egg - into a large mixing bowl, she then held it in one hand before grabbing the whisk in another, "Step one is easy peasy~ I've already measured it all out for you - if you are curious about the measurements, they are on the board - so all you have to do is to combine all the ingredients in your mixing bowl, and whisk, whisk, whisk! Work it! Work those arm muscles! Put some elbow grease into it! Stop only when a stiff dough is formed... Like so~"
She lowered the bowl back onto the table, reached in, and pulled out a ball of dough, putting it on the floured table top.
"Knead it just enough to get the dough together, wrap it up in plastic wrap," She demonstrated each step before walking over to the fridge shared by everyone in the room, "And then put it into the fridge to rest and chill... Now, it's your turn to work!"
OOC INSTRUCTIONS

THE JOY STAMP CHALLENGE
Keep in mind that you can only redeem Joy Stamps with ONE CHARACTER throughout the Christmas Event, so pick wisely! Joy Stamps can be redeemed here! In this class, there will be Joy Stamp Challenges every "part" for a shot at winning 1 out of 20. Remaining Joy Stamps will be distributed via raffle to all active participants (excluding those who already won one) at the end of each part.
This part's challenge: The 20 people with a total mixing score closest to 30 will win a Joy Stamp! In the event where there is a tie between players, I will use a raffle as the tie-breaker. For players with multiple students, please indicate which student you are using for the claiming of Joy Stamps with an OOC note since you can only claim with one student; if you had already won a Joy Stamp in the previous round, I'm going with the student you claimed for [Vanya (Lolly), TK (Syu)].
The next part to their challenge sounded so easy that Jo visibly relaxed. Wow, his own cooking adventures were more difficult then this! Everything had already been measured out, all he had to do was mix it?
Why couldn't all his missions be this easy?
Although he soon paused to look at the girl who appeared to be aiding the gingerbread lady, eying the sharpened candy canes with unease.
He then choose to focus on his safer looking group of ingredients, pouring them into the bowl as instructed and then mixing them with practiced ease.

Putting some force into his arm, Jo mixed the dough with as much force as he could muster with the golem. The task was simple, and it allowed him to relax and forget where he was as he focused on getting it to the right consistency.

It didn't take long for him to be finished, gently placing the dough on the board and using his clawed hands to knead at the mixture. He even started to whistle, his hands working the dough until he felt it was bonded, then wrapped it up in the plastic to put in the fridge.
Now he could only hope the other parts were just as easy.

Monty watched his oven and ate munched on the rest of the candy that the little dragon didn't need since it was still keeping the oven at the temp it needed to be. Monty watched as the ghoul sharpened the candy sticks to make little points on them, he gave a slight laugh and popped another candy in his mouth.
"That's easy." Monty grinned as he watched the Professor demonstrated the next task. Soon Monty was dumping and mixing and the dough started to form.
